- I've been flying the DJI Mini 3 Pro consistently for 6 months now. It has amazing specs and comes with a lot of features to be such a tiny drone. I've taken the Mini 3 Pro to many different places to test the camera quality. The video footage is far superior vs its' predecessor, the DJI Mini 2. It has a larger aperture which helps when filming at night. It also comes with different camera modes and with the right settings a beginner can get professional looking photo and videos.

Chad, as a former broadcast TV director (I was working at a station in Detroit at the time), I have to tell you, this is by far and away the BEST video I've seen for the MP3. Everything from the open (which was very, very good, by the way, easily "network" quality (REAL networks, not the cable networks) to the subtle sound effects, the editing and writing, all of your production values are the standard every video here on RUclips should be judged against. If they'd have an Emmy for RUclips, you would have taken home several.
That being said, thank you so much for the video. I picked up the MP3 a few weeks ago during Prime Days (me, and, apparently, the rest of the free world, lol). I've yet to send it into the air: I wanted to make sure I could fly it for at least a few minutes before my first crash! With any luck (and a great deal of practice) I hope to be as proficient of a pilot as you've demonstrated. Be Well, and again, thanks for this gorgeous, informative video. Wow... thank you. I didn't know anything about editing in the beginning, but I learned a lot from YT over the past few years and spent a lot of time practicing. There's a lot of information out there, and I'm always learning something new. I still have a ways to go to where I want to be with my editing and presentation.

The Mini 3 Pro is first Mini drone that I’m truly happy with, all others feel like I’m comprising to much to gain the small size and weight. And I’ve very pleased with all the firmware updates that added so much to this drone. Great edit, I love these long term reviews. Thanks for sharing and all the hard work you put into this video.

I trust your opinion on drones. I would love to have one especially since I can't get refresh on my old Mavic 2 Pro anymore and I just fly it for commercial work now. I have a couple of mini 2's but the 3 pro would be an upgrade especially for night flights. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks...I make sure I cut on the beat of the music. A hard cut is always good. I limit the number of transition effects I use.

Nice overview. One tip. the plastic cover that sits over the front to protect the camera? You will find the end of it is exactly the same size as the micro SD slot, making it much easier to remove/insert the SD card. Thank me later :-)

Thanks. It all depends on your level of editing. If you're just getting started, I suggest Filmora or Movavi. If your more experienced, then Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Nice conclusive review of the mini 3 pro. It’s my first drone and I’ve had it about a month. We live in the same area and I’ve scouted or flown in some of the same locations as you. Just wondering if you’ve been able to fly in the state parks nearby particularly the one on the Potomac. I haven’t had any issues in the county parks but I always pick isolated locations. Keep posting, great work.
Thanks...no I haven't flown from the State Park since we're prohibited from taking off and landing there. But we are allowed to fly over the State Park from another location.
@@ChadB Thanks, I didn’t know that about state parks, I thought it was just federal parkland that prohibited drones.
Yeah...each state may be different, but that's the restriction in VA. Federal is stricly no fly zone.

Why did you drop the Nano plus? I got one recently for around 500, updated all firmware and it’s been great so far. Follow me mode even works ok. I think they worked out the kinks. Got some filters coming soon.
None of the intelligent features were working. The camera was ok, but the flight performance is not great. Yeah, the tracking function may work now, but it took a year after the drone was released. I bought the Nano pre-sale and expected to have it fully work after a few firmware updates, but that wasn't the case.
I'm looking to upgrade from my Air2. Would you go with this or the 2s? I'm here in the mountains of Pa a few miles from QC so there is a good bit of wind. Usually in the 20mph range.
If you live in an area where the wind is an issue, I would go with the Air 2S

i decided to just get the mini 3 . it lacks some of the features but should be fine for the price. i went with the rc controller tho as not having to fumble around with my ipad mini and all sounds great.

I saw you wearing black gloves when you were handling the controller. Do you use those all the time and why. Where did you get them please?
It was 35°F outside and my hands get cold quickly. Not the warmest gloves, but it's serves as a thin barrier from the cold and wind. UnderArmor gloves from Dick's Sporting Goods

I received my Mini 3 Pro at Christmas, and I think the same as you... This is not the same drone from 6 months ago when it went on the market. It is a drone with great capabilities, with few details you can achieve good videos and high quality photos.
The 48mp photo, I don't think there is something DJI should improve in the software, I think the 12mp photo is still a better option. But in format for photographs which you have seen that gives a better quality 4:3 or 16:9 ?

Thank You. I like to use the 4:3 photo to maximize the pixels. Then crop it to 16:9 if I need to.

Thank you. It all depends on what you plan to do with it. The Mini 2 is still a great drone. The Mini 3 Pro will definitely cost you more and has more intelligent features. But if that is not a problem, then I'd say get the Mini 3 Pro or Mini 3(non Pro).

Not sure...it varies. It all depends on the battery life, shutter speed, and intervals you set. I was able to get a 15 sec hyperlapse based on the settings I had. This is something I need to explore.

That is the way reviews should be done with video wright from the drone no editing. Because not everyone can edit the same .give it yo us streat from the drone no color editing. To give us a false impression great review looks like a great drone
