I’m in Mississippi and I’ve been sold on the fail mower for some time now. No dealers near me have any just sitting on their lots. When I inquire about getting on they seem to all want to steer me away from getting one. John Deere said that it will take months for him to get me one. Now I want one like this BATTLE SHIP you have. I enjoy your videos so keep them.
Thanks for watching Darrell! I can’t speak to the cheaper Flail Mowers, but this one is an absolute tank. You would buy it once and I am fairly confident it would last a lifetime. I am Blessed to have a relationship with Baumalight and I know their stuff isn’t cheap. But I can say they pursue excellence; not lowest price. Take care!
Man, that looked like a pretty good test to that thing with all them rocks and rough ground, and it looks like it gives that hillside a nice clean shave. Good video Joe.
Hello Joe, and thanks for another great video. I love the new Baumalight FMP 780 Flail Mower, and it might be a great match for my 6075 PST Mahindra. I have been looking for a batwing. Anyway, that looked like a great first test, and I look forward to seeing you put it through its paces. I had better run for now, so until next time, stay safe, and until next time, may God bless your days as He always does ours! Donald
Somebody beat me to it roll pin I think its made of spring steel so it stays once installed. They probably don't want to have to many fail points anything replaceable is fail point. Those skids are only going to rust. It's built like a tank. Great video. 🇺🇸
Nice! I love my flail. I think it would take 9 forever's to wear out those skids. seriously. I am really surprised it only has two belts. My flail has 4 heavy duty ones. Weird. Thanks for the video my friend.
Great Video Joe Was looking at a forestry mulcher vs flail mower due to lots of dead rotten timber in my woods where I want to make trails Thinking the flail mower would be a better trail maintenance tool long term and less expensive to get in to ? Will have to look closer at them in February at the FMS in Louisville Thanks for sharing God Bless Phil
Hey Phil! The mulcher is phenomenal for trails. This flail mower will be less expensive and less of a specialty tool so I would think either would work…but the flail would probably be my choice once the timber is cleared. But man I have found so many things to use that mulcher for!
Curious how this would work on mesquite brush, I live in south Texas and mesquite brush is ridiculous. When I try using a brush-hogger, it leaves sharp stubbles that have punctured tires. I then have to use my box blade to try and pull remnants of the mesquite brush up while trying to avoid tire punctures. I would really like to know if this flail-mower can get closer to the ground with its cuts, while clearing 1-2" mesquite black brush. I agree with replaceable skids. Love the videos spot lighting various useful equipment around the farm. I also really like the transparency on the different equipment, please stay true to the transparency aspect of your channel, it really means alot to small time ranch owners like myself. Great Video!!
Thanks for watching and for the kind comments. I promise to stay real brother. RUclips is what I do for enjoyment and my integrity is not for sale. I am very Blessed to be able to test some amazing equipment. I don’t have enough seat time with this mower but from what I have seen it really shreds material. The brush mulcher would absolutely do it, but you would be going backwards a lot. There will definitely be more on this attachment! Especially in the spring. Thanks for the support!
It’s actually pretty simple to hook up, at least no more difficult than a rotary cutter. Flail mowers are more expensive but boy is the cut nice. Its almost like a light duty mulcher
How does it do against Middle TN blackberry mess? I'm not too far from you (Southern Maury), and have tons of brambles. Looking for a flail to help. Is it knives only, or are hammers going to be available? Brush diameter rating? Thanks!
Hey, Yah roll pin or spring pin. If you do any cutting in tall stuff you are going to want to get rid of all hitch pins and replace with bolts. Pins can be expensive. The 7/8 pin on the JD quick hitch from JD is 69.95. Have fun!
@@JoeTheFarmer If your in the market for a flail take a look at the Nova Tractor ditch flail and check out the video. It's a beast for a great price and free shipping. I bought one based on that video and it is as tough as it looks, great mower.
I love a good flail mower. I’d like to know why they choose to send it with Y blades instead of hammer blades. For such a beast of a mower I’d think you’d want to show it cutting thicker material. We ain’t watching Joe The Lawn Guy. 🤣🤣🤣
Ha’. Good question on the Y blades. Prob because I have so many rocks? I would think you could order one with either but not certain. Thanks for watching buddy!
Nice! I will definitely be looking to get a flail mower for my 4820. So far I’m impressed with the Baumalight products. Good video!
Thanks Lucas; appreciate ya brother!

Thanks buddy. Really like the finished look of a flail mower. And its nice knowing it can handle it. Take care!

Thanks you Donald, it is very very well made and is the type of tool that will last a lifetime. Take care and God Bless brother!
Good morning…. Very very nice mower! Really looks heavily designed and built! 👍👍
Good morning Gene! Hope you are doing well. It is very well built and did a heck of a job mowing. Ok; now back to hunting! Take care
Hi Joe. I believe it's called a roll pin.
Thank you James! Appreciate you brother
That thing is a Beast. It looks like it will cut just about anything. Nice job Joe.
Thanks Tom! It really is a beast. I’d love to see the way they build it. Awesome how they mold and shape steel like they do. Thanks for watching!

Nice unit! I think I heard you say that’s only one. 🤣
Thanks buddy! There is only one…for now! Lol
@@JoeTheFarmer just joking with you since you said it a few times. 👍😄
I'd be interested in a Ditch/Bank style flail if they ever build one.
Thats good feedback; will pass it along!
😊 Very nice! Looks like a good attachment! I love my flail mower! Happy thanksgiving! God speed!🇺🇸🚜✝️
Happy Thanksgiving brother!!!
nice machine ty
Thanks for watching Richard!
Let’s Roll 😊
Love it!
Looks like an awesome beast. Definitely be checking into one of those when I'm ready for one. Have a good weekend Joe.
Thanks Bob; Happy Thanksgiving!

We are in the market for a bush hog for our TYM T574CH. This could be the one.
Wish these things were easy to connect to the PTO.

@JoeTheFarmer Which three point hitch worked and which didnt?
Want to make sure it will work with ours.
They are redesigning that area before it is sold; but the one with the 2” receiver wouldn’t work on this design
Thanks @@JoeTheFarmer

Can’t see how quick hitch will fit this with that top crosspiece!
They are going to redesign the hookup before production

What do you think the maximum travel speed would be? That thing is absolutely a best.
I think as comfortable as you can drive. We are so hilly and bumpy that it would be like a bucking bronco going as fast as I think this will cut.
