I love my TYM 474 cab, got 200 hours in 7 months. Still smooth as the day I bought it.

I've been using some red lucas oil grease for my loader. What type of grease do you use? Reason why I'm asking is you have a lot of time on the loader just curious what you use. Thank you

Hi! Hank, I'm at 520h on my T474, still no regen and still no mechanical issues with mine. Love it, I call it "Goldilocks" cuz she just rite LOL.
Ha jd didn’t make a company dozer until 1947. I bought a Kubota 7060 March 2022 it’s got 1477 hrs on it now. You need to speed it up around there. 😎

I've heard a lot of complaints about front axle seals/bearings going out, but no issues here!
I'll be publishing a video in a month or so of an install of a new product coming to market to help prevent this. (A bolt-on brace of sorts)

Good video, Like someone commented below, there are several people that have complained about the cab being LOUD! The one thing I picked up on in your walk around is the battery located in that hole, not good. Overall, enjoyable....the price keeps me watching TYM videos.
We absolutely love ours. So far we haven't had any door or hood latch issues at all (still less than 100 hours though). It just works every time you turn the key. Tip: Grab a black permanent marker and mark your bucket indicator bar where the forks are level. I also mark lift controls where I want them set for brush hog vs box blade vs flail mower, etc. Not necessary but why not. Also the level position on the adjustable lift arm.
My only 'fixes' I had to do on my 150 hour T494 was I had to tighten my AC belt and I need to still loosen the slip plates on the 3-point hitch hydraulics as it is still quite stiff. Overall I am happy as well!
Hi Hank A 50cal ammo can makes a great tool box and you can bolt it right down to the passenger side step.

This is a good video! Lazy folks do not maintenance/PM their equipment. They'll be the first ones to whine about quality or lack thereof when something goes wrong and try to get folks to ignore their human practical application. Take care of your tractor, rumor has it that it will take care of you.

My door does the same exact thing on my 494. It does not bother me, I learned how to close it. I've only had a front axle seal leak, pretty sure I caused it. I love my 494.
That won't be the end of your problems if you actually work one not talking about hobby farm work

@@user-dc3tc3fr7t I would say anyone buying a tractor in this class isn’t buying to make a living from it also most people are buying for loader and PTO applications like haying etc not ground engagement type implements like a harrow.

Clearly you must be mistaken. If it's not green or orange, and cost a few of truckloads of money, it simply isn't capable of hauling a load of feathers, let alone doing any real work.
Do you crank your tractor with throttle half. Open every time not good oil needs to get at top engine before opening up
I cannot stand people that's got to warm up everybody if I'm grosen 79,000 lbs on my 18-wheeler of course I cannot compare that to a 1 ton truck but there's drivers out there that doesn't all the time and I don't understand it

Very informative video. Do you have any issues with overheating while you’re brush hogging? I was gonna buy a Tym 654 or 754 but heard they have overheating issues due to an undersized radiator, so might consider a 574 instead. Thanks
I haven't had any issues with the 6' brush hog on the 574. When I pulled the 12' batwing with it, the engine temp creeped up.

How do you feel about the sound inside the cab when you're running the machine and doing work on it? I seen a video by another person who I can't recall his name, but he loved his T474 but said he felt it was very loud inside the cab and he was disappointed because he really couldn't hear the radio or talk on the phone. Lol. He's said he almost needs hearing protection. I find that odd but I've never owned a cab model and have no idea. I'm wondering if kiotis are quieter.
I'm not sure if Kioti's are quieter, but I wear headphones anyways. I'm about half deaf, so I'm not a good judge of loud noise's lol
Owner of a T474C here, it is my first cabbed tractor, but it is exactly what I expected as far as noise levels in the cab, I can answer calls with Bluetooth fine in mine, but the people on the other end apparently can tell I'm happily tractoring when I answer. I guess the best way to find out is to visit your local dealer and have him fire it up and put the revs at PTO speed and close the door. I know it makes bush hogging alot more bearable especially with the A/C on. However when you accidentally mow a basketball size rock or a tree stump, yes it still sounds like the world is coming to an end.
@@rodgerneeb301 thanks for your comment. I was hoping someone would give me some feedback on how it sounds on the inside while working. I don't expect it to be quiet but I was hoping not to have to wear hearing protection while inside the cab. Lol. From what you said it seems like you don't have any issues with the sounds inside. I appreciate your help.
@@rodgerneeb301 Oh and I'm looking at a T474 myself. Has the power without the extra size. Is it hard to use the pto controls? I know it's not as wide as the T494.

Excellent questions, I am a quite large person, and prefer to as is politically incorrect "manspread" while seated, both the PTO and main gear box (mine is a Shuttle shift ) shifter sticks are removable with a single bolt, I plan at some point to bend them at some point to make it more comfortable, as it comes the sticks kinda poke in my mid thigh, especially noticeable in first and third gear and when the PTO is engaged. Another thing about the PTO to remember is that there are 3 things that need engaged to actually have it run, the lever, a twist knob switch and finally a square push button that lights up upon activation. You will forget at least one of them, and give strong thought about calling the dealership to cuss them out .... make sure you have all 3 engaged before cussing anybody. Hehehe
