oMG!! round off full took my breath away,.. amazing video. what a great documentation for those gymnasts and for the whole world to see. Thank you for compiling this wonderful archive.
I miss Kerry and Silivas in 88. We didnt see anymore things like that. Gym is harder now, but we almost dont see good creations in eyes. Nádia on bars was só difficult her exercise. I miss many things in old gym. The 10 i miss more. There is no dance, no feeling.
This was AWESOME! Love how you'll share your opinions and favorites in some videos, and in others like this, you teach so much! Your hard work in compiling this info, finding footage, and editing it all together is greatly appreciated!💖🌺
Those mounts are beautiful and the girls look like are flying in slow motion. I love gymnastics and my favorite apparatus is balance beam . Thanks for posting this video.
It was such a Great Montage,There are more or easy but interresting moves. And it's really great you put the information...These are the video's that change our mind about Gymnastics!! Thanks
That's pretty Ghuud :) I am really interested in gymnastics and this video has inspired me. They did really great, some stumbled a little bit but they ended up fine . That's amazing
This was really cool, especially the unknown gymnast montage. I see you have Vanessa's performance on beam at the Olympics I just got coverage of half of it, if you could upload it I'd be very grateful!
Ling Jie, Alicia Sacramone, Vanessa Ferrari, Iryna Krasnianska, Ayaka Sahara, Yang Yilin, Elena Produnova, entre muchas otras, son mis favoritas de esta compilación
It refers to the degree of difficulty. A is the easiest, G is the hardest (currently- some elements will be a H in the new 2013-16 code). The top 8 skills in a routine (divided between acro and dance in beam and floor) count towards your score. G (and soon H) is worth the most. So the more difficulty, the better. Beam, floor and bars also have compositional requirements- such as leap series and full turn on floor. The CR is added to the total D-score and then to the 10 given for execution.
One of my favorite gymnast, Stevie Waldman, would preformed the jump to cross-split (0:50) in NCAA comp. She took AA @ 08' W. collegiate championships. Also had the privilege of watching Angela Walker (4:50) compete, go gophers!! Rankin's mount (5:07) is SOOO, under rated. Never seen any1 close to such a skill of balance, maybe Walker. OUTRAGEOUS! Am I alone in considering the 08' Olympic W. gymnastics watered down, esp in beam mounts? TY 4 attempting a front pike salto (6:26) A. Sacramone
this is an amazing video! wow you must have put a huge amount of time into creating this video. i appreciate it though :) i know what vault i want to achieve!
Thanks for another amazing video. I have always thought that their should be a deduction for world class beam routines that begin with an A value mount. Any thoughts?
a tuck salto has the knees and waist bent. a pike salto only has the waist bent and the knees stretched. they look pretty similar specialy cuz the the knees have to be bent for landing.
AWESOME ! Kelly Garrison has the most diffucult mount and performed it in 1988 !!! Too bad the current code doesn't allow for much originality anymore.
I know this montage has been here since a long time ago. But I just had the time to view it carefully and I must say that it's a great one, even the music matches perfectly (by the way, what's the name of the music?). I know the start at any apparatus demonstrate the level of difficulty the gymnast will perform in the rest of the routine!!!
I'm not very good at the roundoff flic flac mounts, the last time I slammed my neck on the beam. my spinal cord was bruised for 3 weeks and in a neck brace. I had to do even simple chores slowly and carefully like I was made of glass. the pain was UN-discribable
Fantastic video. Thanks so much for all the work--very informative! I wasn't following the codes too much from clip to clip but were you showing one mount from each quadrennium or just identifying which code a particular mount was from?
I have a question, as a layman. Is a handstand easier or harder to maintain in the split position? I would think that because you have one leg on either side of you, you would have about equal weight, helping to balance, whereas having your legs straight up would be more liable to topple either way if they went less or more than vertical.
Cool vid! Is the laidout back full mount in the code yet? There's a couple of Japanese junior gymnasts attempting that skill now. I'm assuming it's a G if the tucked is an F.
where is the layout full twist mount, i think it should be added, Natsumi Sassada who is a Japanese Junior Gymanst is currently doing it, it is a G move
these make all the current mounts you see look so boring! maybe the focus has changed to the skills in the routine or something, but some of these are really cool and unique :)
Gymnasts in the top 4 countries almost never have an acrobatic mount. It's a gigantic risk right at the start, with a higher margin of error than an acro skill ON the beam, tne dot be a bit underrated difficulty wise, and are basically more trouble than they are worth. Sacramone is the notable exception here, and her beam in team finals 2008 only serves to reinforce the huge risk. Mounts do count, but it's more worth the gymnast's while to build up the difficulty in the routine and dismount.
Hi MostepanovaFan. Is there any chance that you can do some videos that explain E-panel deductions please? It's good for inexperienced coaches and trainee judges. And maybe some judging symbols videos? Many thanks
exactly. another reminder of their idiocy. some people wonder why it wasn't named after sasada and that's because, for some reason, it's named after garrison
great video, a little constructive crit. I wish it was in A,B,C,D,E,F order and sometimes the skill names get so long but it goes to the skill to quick. Maybe I'm a slow reader!
7:00 It looks like she's flying in slow motion. By far my favorite mount of the lot. I could watch it in a loop
Ling Jie at 7:00 had the most gorgeous mount I've ever seen. Wow!!
7:22 by far my favorite mount. Executed like that it just looks so beautiful with a lot of flow
The amount of time and effort youve gone to for us on youtube - thank you so much
oMG!!
round off full took my breath away,.. amazing video. what a great documentation for those gymnasts and for the whole world to see.
Thank you for compiling this wonderful archive.
Amazing compilation.. I love Kui Yuan Yuan’s beam routine soo much
love that Kelly Garrison's tuck full is an F skill even still! She did that mount over 20 years ago!!
KG is a definite BAAAAD@$$!

It was actually me that deleted it! It uploaded without the music so I reuploaded it, but the music still hasn't turned up :(
Love this!! Kim Zmeskal, Mo Huilan and Khorkina had the most beautiful ones. Omg! Love the beam
Thanks for making this video, it is very nice to learn to names and the degree of difficulty of the moves.
Those mounts are beautiful and the girls look like are flying in slow motion. I love gymnastics and my favorite apparatus is balance beam . Thanks for posting this video.
good video thank you!

One of the videos I watch over snd over!
Thank you for the collection. Priceless for study and for enjoyment!!
Thank you so much for putting together these montages! They are truly a treat!
Love it, thanks for the names and grades of these incredible gymnastics.
beautiful montage!
Thank you for this compilation.
I always wondered if anyone did a round-off arabian Salto mount. Beautiful (and crazy!)
wow i love gymnasts! they r so brave and strong!
Really well organized clips. Nicely done
And now I know why I never attempted gymnastics. They make it look so elegant and easy, but I know it takes hours of practice.
Wow! That was really Cool! Great compilation!!
Great Job! I could watch this all day :) Thanks for putting it together!
That's pretty Ghuud :) I am really interested in gymnastics and this video has inspired me. They did really great, some stumbled a little bit but they ended up fine . That's amazing
The free jump to a cross split is performed by a gymnast that is listed only as Drewes on a beam mount video.
This was really cool, especially the unknown gymnast montage.
I see you have Vanessa's performance on beam at the Olympics I just got coverage of half of it, if you could upload it I'd be very grateful!
Thank you!
Huge beam fan, need to learn & see.
This was great.
Wouw this is super useful, I hope you will putt more of this on youtube!

She finshed 57th in the AA in Beijing (14.075 on beam). She's not really that good in general, but she has mastered an awesome mount!
6:13 is my current dismount but i am currently working on performing 6:05 for fruited in the nxt commonwealth games- great montage btw
:)
this is an amazing video! wow you must have put a huge amount of time into creating this video. i appreciate it though :) i know what vault i want to achieve!
:( I wish this video was still available. Now I'm sad :(
Thank you. I love all things beam 💛
The gymnast doing the jump to splits mount is Drewe McKay from BTYC in Melbourne. Performed at banyule gymnastics club :)
Wow!! These are incredible
That last one, holy cow!
All elegant- lovely!
Awesome video
6:47 Fangxiao Dong ("Xiao") is my daughter's coach now. She is amazing.
this should prove to all gymnasts that the simple jump up to the beam is NOT the only mount on planet earth
Thanks for another amazing video. I have always thought that their should be a deduction for world class beam routines that begin with an A value mount. Any thoughts?
That was amazing
Awesome video!!
This is a great video! Good job!!
...just astounding.

I'm learning the neck roll (c)
omg this is awesome! beam used to be so more creative
That was really great and useful. Are you going to make more of this kind?
Thanks :)
Very cool montage!
@Sambucca Ah, overlooked that one lol I do wonder if a full twist front flip mount is possible?
a tuck salto has the knees and waist bent. a pike salto only has the waist bent and the knees stretched. they look pretty similar specialy cuz the the knees have to be bent for landing.

excellent job! congrats!
This is a very good video!
(Although I agree it would have been better to have them in difficulty order!)
Yeah, I agree:)
Yes true and it would be cool to see level G skills! But this is a really good video and was nicely edited
I know this montage has been here since a long time ago. This is great! Thanks for making the video.
What happened with the Eremia Hold, it is not in the CoP now because i loved that skill
dang these people are crazy good
I'm not very good at the roundoff flic flac mounts, the last time I slammed my neck on the beam. my spinal cord was bruised for 3 weeks and in a neck brace. I had to do even simple chores slowly and carefully like I was made of glass. the pain was UN-discribable
I love Dominique's mount
Fantastic video. Thanks so much for all the work--very informative! I wasn't following the codes too much from clip to clip but were you showing one mount from each quadrennium or just identifying which code a particular mount was from?
Waww c'est impressionnant !
Trop ! C est ouf!
4:53 and 6:04 are my favorites
7:00 that's so beautiful.
Thank's! Great job!
Cool awesome and amazing
5:44 is Shannan Miller! Not marianna webster. You can see steve nunno and peggy lidig in the background
Who was it in the late 70a who mounted with a side aerial from the side of the beam to a prone position laying on the beam?
I have a question, as a layman. Is a handstand easier or harder to maintain in the split position? I would think that because you have one leg on either side of you, you would have about equal weight, helping to balance, whereas having your legs straight up would be more liable to topple either way if they went less or more than vertical.
i'm missing a few interesting ones:
Maja hribar: salto sideward tucked
Daiane dos santos: front layout
Jackie bender.. yeah.. that one is just awesome
I have seen Daiane try it, but I've never seen her or anybody else land it. Its not in the code of points so no one has done it at worlds or olympics.
I loved it!
I recall Diane Dos Santos trying a stretched front salto mount but I don't know if she or anybody else has achieved this mount. Do you know?
Cool vid! Is the laidout back full mount in the code yet? There's a couple of Japanese junior gymnasts attempting that skill now. I'm assuming it's a G if the tucked is an F.
Nicely done ✅ ladies
@marleen2222623 ja, maar niet zoveel waard. geloof dat het maar een A of een TA is. Moet je even in het FIG kijken, die staat op de kngu:)
where is the layout full twist mount, i think it should be added, Natsumi Sassada who is a Japanese Junior Gymanst is currently doing it, it is a G move
wow incredible
i can do the round off layout salto to 2 feet
this girl is good nice job (:
these make all the current mounts you see look so boring! maybe the focus has changed to the skills in the routine or something, but some of these are really cool and unique :)
Woops, sorry my mistake. Yes it is considered a jump/press to planche to wenson.
can u do a video explaining how BB connection Points work?
Descriptions were disappearing to quick. Had to keep pausing to read it all

7:37 amazing Kelly garrison
Hey, your video is no longer available?? I wanted to use it to find a nice mount element. Could you please send it to me??
Hi MostepanovaFan. Is there any chance that you can do some videos that explain E-panel deductions please? It's good for inexperienced coaches and trainee judges. And maybe some judging symbols videos? Many thanks
Did no one perform the back handing spring - layout full until Natsumi Sasada? I can't even recall if it's named after her or not.
It's not named after her because the FIG credits Kelly Garrison with the back 1/1 layout
Kai S But Garrison did a tuck
exactly. another reminder of their idiocy. some people wonder why it wasn't named after sasada and that's because, for some reason, it's named after garrison
Whats the difference between from Front tack Salto and Front Pike salto?
Is the McCool mount, or any front handspring mount not in the code then?
Or am I just being blind and not seeing it :|
awesome video though!
great video, a little constructive crit. I wish it was in A,B,C,D,E,F order and sometimes the skill names get so long but it goes to the skill to quick. Maybe I'm a slow reader!
It's written in the video.
