Nearly all of my family members on my mums side smoke cigarettes, and all of them are constantly coughing out tar, they have broken down teeth, and many of them died of cancers. It’s obvious all of them want to stop, but they are too far in to quit. I wish they wouldn’t have started it in the beginning, or would have stopped early on because the ratio of aunts:uncles has much more deaths at younger ages on the men’s side. I suggest you talk to a doctor or specialist about this, they will fully understand and there are many more alternatives to smoking.

The level of tar increases as the item is burnt down. The last puffs on a cigarette can contain as much as twice the amount of tar as the first puffs. So if he did what Jacob wanted it would have been far far worse lmao

Honestly, for me I quit smoking not because I’m afraid of having a few years shaved off my life. I quit after 6 years and being a pack a day smoker because I knew in the long it increased my chances of a long painful death that would span over many years. I also knew it was taking away from my over all happiness and health in life. The short term benefit is I have more money, more free time, I don’t smell terrible, my asthmatic relatives can hug me, and can do whatever I like without suddenly feeling the urge to light up every hour. I quit over a year ago using vaping to slowly ween myself off of nicotine until I was at zero nicotine and then I quit vaping. I won’t tell anyone who reads this what to do but just know that as someone who smoked throughout almost all of my 20s, quitting was the best decision I could have personally made and even though I still feel the urge to light up sometimes, I never regret my decision to quit.
That's honestly why i want to quit too! but, imma quit when I'm ready ykwis. proud of u for quitting man :)
@@jacobfuckingjones Thank you. I quit at age 27. If you aren't ready, you aren't ready, which is fine. That is important to know. I will say if ever decide to quit and that you are ready, just remember to find any kind of support you can. Friends, family, therapy, support group, hiking group, etc haha. Whatever works. There are exceptions to the rule but everyone I know who has quit smoking, myself included, very much so needed support for at least a month. There are many strange side emotional effects from quitting for everyone I know. Best of luck to ya man.

@@jborrego2406 There are support groups for quitting nicotine. I am merely recommending that, if needed, emotional support can help people quit smoking ciggies. It's not a coincidence that people who smoke heavily tend to have suffered more poverty, abuse, and/or past substance addictions.
@@jborrego2406 I would also like to politely inform you of a few facts. In the United States of America over 400,000 people die every year because of smoking. And 40,000 die every year approximately due to 2nd hand smoke. Drug over doses are about 71,000+ people a year. 71% of those drug over doses are on opioids, which is considered an epidemic in America. Now, I have smoked nicotine but never crack or heroine. Nor would I ever recommend anyone try using opioids just because they kill less people a year. Drug addiction destroys lives in many ways. But I would like to give you a more objective lens to look through. If someone smoked 6$ pack cigarettes' and, let us say, only used half a pack a day, they are still spending over a grand a year on something that is addictive and harmful. I will never shame someone for smoking, but I won't pretend it's good for them either and that it isn't a substance addiction.

I’ve smoked for 25 years. At least 2 packs a day for most of those. Even when I started inwas chain smoking.
I’ll be 41 soon and over the last year or so my lungs are absolute trash.
I still can play ball with 20 year olds but I have to play at the pace of a 60 year old as before I could just push through it.
I started vaping a couple weeks ago but still am buying cigs a 3 times a week. But just a pack at a time.

In my humble opinion, when you said that it's a problem when he pulls them off too early, I think that is compensated for by the fact that the machine stops, so there is no time in which the cigarette could've been burning off on it's own, wasting a tiny part of it

I have been studying tobacco for years and smoke is tar and all a filter was in the 60’s was a campaign to make it seem like it was safe but there is a component to smoke where incomplete combustion causes some cancerous chemicals such as benzene and so on but the absolute most cancerous part of the cigarette is the nicotine being burned causing Tobacco Specific Nitoramines (TSNA’s) and there are many kind some forms when the tobacco is dried and cured the oxygen reacts with nicotine to produce extremely cancerous TSNAs and when it’s burned it converts a lot of the nicotine to TSNAs and why even smokers have a higher rate of oral cancer than tobacco dippers and you should do your research into TSNAs and on top of that some that don’t use whole leaf tobacco the use the roots of the plant and make it into a paper that looks like tobacco and is used in the cigarette where it has high levels of heavy metals that are absorbed in high amounts at the roots

Lmfaoo- I was a daily weed and vape smoker for 4 years. EVERY second of every day, I couldnt handle real life. I quit 4 months ago, and I dont miss the taste or feeling... I miss the sensation of smoking. So i ordered like 16 essential oil diffusers.. theyre kinda like vape but 0 drugs or other harmful ingredients. I hope they curb my withdrawal.
You should probably try herbal cigarettes. I recommend Bear Blend. They also have blunt ver and oils and loose leaf. They have really good herbs and it should help

It's a wholly unrealistic simulation. But the point is, all of us do "unhealthy" or risky things regularly. Speeding, sleeping late, eating 'junk' food, sitting for long periods of time or the opposite, working a physically demanding job. Smoking is just one of them.
