Totally applaud your cleaning efforts, so agree with how much nicer it is to work on your own car when it’s much cleaner

Thanks! Yes it's much nicer when the car isn't just a mass of grey dust and dirt.

I have also had the problems with my cars washer pump, i replaced it with new Hella made one and it works great. You can also check Hella made ones (they are still made in Germany) and cost twice cheaper than original ones.

Yes you are right thanks for the tip. I tracked down the Hella pump for my car before, it is # 006848031. But I can't find it in Canada. I will do more research to see if I can import it. It might end up costing close to the Genuine BMW part, with shipping charges... But yes Hella or Genuine are my two choices. I want to avoid the Chinese Febi pump.

I ended up installing a new Genuine BMW pump. It has a BMW logo on it, my old pump didn't have any markings. It was probably not the original pump. It works very well, quite powerful.

Thanks for the video, i would like to know your opinion about replacing the airflow with miller airflow kit , its it better than the old one??

Thanks, it's a good question. From what I read it gives an improved throttle response. It makes the old M30 engine a bit more modern, but I can't say any more than that.

Funny enough mine has been winter driven all the time /including now sitting outside/ and not a spot of rust on the doors where you have it. However apparently water was inside for quite a while without being drained so now huge chunks of metal are missing on the front two haha. Btw do you have cut and re-welded the j hook on the driver wiper?

    • @ClassicBMWFanInQuebec

Hi Alex, yes it's funny how that works. But rust never sleeps so it's possible that there were drainage issues from day one and it just got worse over time.
I haven't modified the wipers no, they are still original. Why would one want to weld the hook?

@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec Actually, they have been modified. All E32s came with the so called J hook for the driver /normal wipers don't fit/. And they all come with a tensioner so at highway speeds it gets pushed to the windshield for better cleaning. By this age it requires the blower motor out and the mechanism for rebuild to work properly /skips, rattle, screeching noises/ As it requires to be put under specific angle and most people are terrified of what the hell is it, they convert it but in reality you just replace the wiper blade refill with whatever you want as long as its 60cm. Yours is converted to a normal one with a different wiper all together. Btw, regarding the passenger one. If you have difficulty with the passenger coverage or how it sits due to the angle, there is an original one which is made for that windshield and it is directional /tucks away more to the driver side/. Overall better fit and finish if you are going for the original look.

@@alexmercer8042 That's interesting, I always thought that the variable pressure wipers were only available for the first two years of the E32. My car has the regular non-pressure wipers but they are OEM, they have the aero deflector piece with the BMW logo.

@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec High end E34s and all E32s. Its not even an option code for it as it is not an option. Like you don't see power windows listed in the vin for example. Could've been swapped at some point.

@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec thank you for your reply. I been looking for a 750il in that color or in Delphin color but no luck. By the way great content I am looking forward to see more of your work.

@@leathaface510 Thank you! I have read that blue is a somewhat rare color on the E32 platform. But keep looking and you will find one!
