It looked so accurate to the style of the game that most people must’ve not even noticed it was your addition, absolutely fantastic work.
The T-Rex screeching *AVOOOOON* in the Model Village had me quite literally crying with laughter. Thank you for that. *"Blood! Blood for the Blood Goose!"* Alien: Isolation but instead of Amanda Ripley you're the Goose from Untitled Goose Game. Instead of trying to make no noise you just go throughout the level finding people trying to hide, sneak up behind them, and honk loudly, thus drawing the attention of the titular Xenomorph. "Oi, there's someone hiding in this locker. You should come eat them." translation *honkhonkhonkhonkhonk...honk.* Also a facehugged Goose sounds like it would spawn quite a unique boss type monster. Goosomorph. Xenogoose? Queen Aligoose
This is a supremely realistic depiction of a goose's thought processes. I should know. I grew up on a poultry farm and was embroiled in a 3-way waragainst the ganders and the border collies for almost a decade... which took a turn for the worse when my friend Benn came by and both the ganders and the collies put aside their differences to attack his welly boots.
Many thanks. So there was actually quite a high percentage of automation on this one. To the point that it was something of a treat for me. Normally I'm doing something like this, moving the square around manually - i.imgur.com/PemDjpU.gifv .Particularly with something like ARMA, where the software gets really confused on trying to identify a "head". I mean look at this visual soup - i.imgur.com/nwpEzvE.gifv Here though I was often able to say "follow the black dot in the white shape". And the tracker could do it easily. Meaning I only had to step in when the goose turned around, or did something unexpected - i.imgur.com/jNkdnDm.gifv What became complicated was simply the number of clips. The number of After Effects compositions. Something like 268 rather than your usual 60-90 ish. And animating all of them became something of a time sink.
Womble's upload sched is so random yet it always comes exactly when I'm feeling overstressed by work. It feels like a sudden blessing, truly. And also, SovietWomble *is a Goose*
Question? Do you learn in Japan at school all 3 forms to write? (There are 3 right?) If yes do you focus on one in particular and in what part of you school life do you learn the different forms?
@@lulu111_the_coolひらがな、カタカナ、漢字のことですか? So to answer your question, learning is focused on Kanji characters. I wanted to answer your question seriously, so I answered in Japanese. That's because I might make a mistake in English.
Having played it just today I can tell you this is part of Soviet's editing and not part of game. In game he trips and falls. Then simply gets up and continuez his work. TBH I like womble's editing more adds cinematic touch to it.
After editing myself and learning a lot more, I further appreciate the amount of work and creativity that is injected into your videos, I hope you know that those hours you spend poring over various subtitles with sound/visual matched text tracking, little animations and an attention to detail that allows the tracked text to blend seamlessly into the world of the video are not at all wasted. It's no secret you're a master of your craft but well and truly bravo!
Thanks. That's called "masking". And it involves cutting little shapes out of layers to create the illusion that text is moving behind objects in the scene - i.imgur.com/s8OQzpk.gifv Years ago, I used to cut shapes into the text layer. But that often proved a suckers way of doing things, because if you changed the layer properties (like its size), you usually had to re-do any masking. What I like to do now is duplicate the footage at the top of project, then lock it so I don't fiddle with it, and then cut all the shapes out of that. So it doesn't matter how much I change the text underneath. The text isn't the thing being masked - but the table the text is moving under. Interestingly (though I lack the resources and incentive) one could theoretically localise the videos into other languages. And all masking and animation would be entirely preserved.
@@SovietWomble Not that masking on the text layer is the way to go, but (and it's been a while since I've used AE) I'm pretty sure you can make the masking layer a child of the text layer (by dragging the little spiral icon - F4 if it's not visible - from the mask layer to the text layer), then any transform/position you make to the text layer will be inherited by the mask.

Your editing is always on point, but wow, you've outdone yourself. Those cutscenes are amazing. I nearly dyed when the ambulance happened. I am so colorful now.
It's spelled di... oh, I see what you did there.
Stupid question.
Is the ambulance not part of the actual game, but it was Womble adding stuff?
@@zubbworks not a stupid question, yea he added a couple of scenes in the style of the game's animation
Pretty cool!!!
I’m surprised about there being less comments about the gardener ambulance scene!! I would’ve thought it was one of the first few comments I would see while scrolling down, honestly. It looked so accurate to the style of the game that most people must’ve not even noticed it was your addition, absolutely fantastic work.
08:19 As someone who works on one; I appreciate the level of detail that went into that ambulance. 🤣
That scene is edited so well that it is easy to mistake it as part of the game if you haven't played it.

Alien: Isolation but instead of Amanda Ripley you're the Goose from Untitled Goose Game.
Instead of trying to make no noise you just go throughout the level finding people trying to hide, sneak up behind them, and honk loudly, thus drawing the attention of the titular Xenomorph.

*honkhonkhonkhonkhonk...honk.*
Also a facehugged Goose sounds like it would spawn quite a unique boss type monster. Goosomorph.
Amazing!! I love this, haha!!
Oh dear, poor Ben 😂
I respect the amount of dedication and patience the editor has with the subtitles and texts
I mean look at this visual soup - i.imgur.com/nwpEzvE.gifv
Here though I was often able to say "follow the black dot in the white shape". And the tracker could do it easily. Meaning I only had to step in when the goose turned around, or did something unexpected - i.imgur.com/jNkdnDm.gifv
What became complicated was simply the number of clips. The number of After Effects compositions. Something like 268 rather than your usual 60-90 ish. And animating all of them became something of a time sink.
I hope you realize by Soviet's comment that he edits his own videos to ensure the quality and editorial choices are to his standards.

@@lulu111_the_coolひらがな、カタカナ、漢字のことですか?

I've always wondered if sovietwomble videos would be good for teaching people english, though this video does have high level vocabulary
8:22 Not having played _UGG_ I genuinely can no longer tell what’s part of the game and what’s part of Soviet’s editing
Having played it just today I can tell you this is part of Soviet's editing and not part of game.
In game he trips and falls.
Then simply gets up and continuez his work.
TBH I like womble's editing more adds cinematic touch to it.
Having played it a few months back I wondered wether I missed something 😂
I loved all the puns, the viewers who couldn't handle that gander joke don't deserve such glorious punning.
So you like to be pun-ished? Kinky lol
it's propriategander
After editing myself and learning a lot more, I further appreciate the amount of work and creativity that is injected into your videos, I hope you know that those hours you spend poring over various subtitles with sound/visual matched text tracking, little animations and an attention to detail that allows the tracked text to blend seamlessly into the world of the video are not at all wasted. It's no secret you're a master of your craft but well and truly bravo!
Many thanks. And best of luck with your editing efforts @rinstara
The wing clipping over the bottle at 14:55 is slick editing, it looks so natural
Thanks. That's called "masking". And it involves cutting little shapes out of layers to create the illusion that text is moving behind objects in the scene - i.imgur.com/s8OQzpk.gifv
Years ago, I used to cut shapes into the text layer.
@@SovietWomble That sounds much more efficient, it sounded like it used to be a pain.
@@SovietWomble Having not played the game, I can't tell what's in the game or not. Also love the whole story arc, this is like a mini movie!
If you go frame by frame right as the wing passes over the bottle you can actually see that it skips several frames to the point where the wing has completely passed the bottle. I wonder if he decided to cut a corner there, though I didn't even notice the sudden jolt forward until you pointed this moment out.
For Womble standards, he returned pretty quickly. Glad you're back Womble!
