I agree except it kills a lot of birds. We gotta figure some way to capture it without damaging or killing the wildlife. I've been racking my brain for years trying to figure that out. Maybe a giant screen around it like a house fan? I don't know.

Wouldn't have to be a big propeller or fan to turn an alternator/generator.fast enough to create power.
Was thinking the same thing but I wonder about the cost to power ratio compared to solar. Might be worth reaching out to the community and seeing what others have done in similar conditions. My guess is solar is a must but it might be beneficial to have some wind power to supplement in certain weather conditions.

I don’t think it’s all the caffeine but Arturo has a permanent smile on his face lol. Up until I retired last year from LE, the best part of my day was racing home and opening the door and having my 100lb 1/2 Newfoundland and 1/2 Queensland Heeler greet me! The joy, love and excitement is unconditional! It raises my soul and when I see Lola or any other pupper react that way it warms me to my core!

I am a PANAMANIAN AMERICAN living in TEXAS USA. I am from exactly the same province from where that coffee is coming from. YOU GOT ME AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER.
I also instantly thought, windmills and shipping containers. You could set up a gorge homestead and have travellers come and stay b&b style... ah, the possibilities 🙌🏻🤗
Take a hint from a Mohave Desert Ca. Desert dweller for over 30 years!. We get 80 mph winds. Rain, snow year round. My parent greenhouse that is 17 yrs old now. They used same materials you have. The greenhouse is now rotting and peices of roof are ripping apart and blowing away. It was really well made. It's just those PVC pipes and the plastics, like you're using for your rain catch? Their lifespan? About 16 years in desert weather + winds.

@@teknav1 my grandparents had one on their property back in the day before they cost an arm a leg, my grandfather built it from scrap metal. Theirs did not required all those fancy apparatus. Theirs was used to run an electric motor to pump the water from the well. 😉 Where there's wind there's a way

Get the weight off the tires and cover them. Rubber will deteriorate in UV light (sunlight) so make sure they are covered. They also will dry out as well. Tbere are so many things that will be damaged by a vehicle that is not moving. Rubber, brakes lines, brakes etc. They will all go bad by not using them. The engine can be ran, so that is not the issue. Its the actual movement of the vehicle

Tornado force winds begin at 65mph which is an EF-0. In fact most tornadoes are at the lower end of the scale. We get very windy here on the Great Lakes and the average high sustained wind day is about 40mph, but they have exceeded that. Then the gusts can get up there. And these cause damage. Usually we are without power, and have trees raining down on us!
Free power.... Get them wind turbines up. LOL.

Dont forget to drain all the fluids out of that engine and gas tank so that they don't leak out into the ground after months of sitting there. Eventually the rubber gaskets and hoses will completely dry out and deteriorate.

Allergies
I had shots (allergic to everything but mold) for over 5 years and tried local bee honey which worked.
I also tried bee pollen which really worked well but had to start w/just 10 little pollens and work my way up to a 1/2 tsp.
Today it has really hit me the journey that has brought you both to this beautiful place! I remember when Jordan left work and the day Jenny was purchased! I have said it before but the peace and joy you guys have found in Panama is beautiful! Time to get Arturo the well deserved prize...and meet the Panamanian President-dont you think?

If you shop the coffee, the size they offer, 240 grams is = to 8.5 ounces or roughly 1/2 a pound, brining your cost to 40.00 per pound for this coffee. I have no idea if that is in line w/ premium coffees, but wonder why they don't just list it in ounces as USA is the primary market.

Just an fyi .... regardless of the wind direction, a downed tree will ALWAYS fall into the clearing. Trees (and most plants) always grow towards the light. There is much more light in the clear space compared to the interior density of the woods. That means that there will always be more growth on the side of the tree facing the clearing and consequently, much more of the tree's weight. The tree will fall in the direction that its weight takes it.
