Vertical mouse FTW! long time not many videos and new hair! nice to see you're back
I’ve got the same setup and it’s night and day difference, also use a trackball (elecom huge) and the pain i experience in this regard has reduced significantly! Can’t support this recommendation enough! Adapted to this before covid and i cant live without these.
Second! Also how about Heathers DJ skills @ 2:07?!
Hahahaha!
You are describing carpal tunnel syndrome. You're right-handed? Try using the mouse in your left hand. Logitech makes a left-handed ergonomic mouse. That way the work is more evenly distributed between the two hands and you're not over-stressing the right side. It worked for me.
Best solution for me is to have the mouse further down the desk.
Therefore having my arm fully resting on the desk.
Never ever had any issues since then.
Nice new doo! ;)
The Vertical MX helped me a lot, I wish some of the functions in the mx3(and the whole mx line) were in it like free wheel/notched wheel modes. Stretching also helped! Interesting arm device!
New haircut and color? Looks good, new and fresh 😊
Yes! Thank you! I'm loving it
Instead of a mouse I work with a Wacom Inotous Small pen tablet. I have it in front of my keyboard and do as much shortcuts as possible with my left hand and have the pen in my right. I can edit a full day without any pain or even feeling tired in my shoulders. I will probably never go back to a mouse again.
Great video!
As a musician I have a lot of pain, back pain, fingers elbow wrist. Also, your hair looks great!
One other thought. Do you know of any mouse trays that bring the mouse off the desk and into your lap area? Trying to find something so I'm not constantly reaching out for the mouse....
I like your new hair cut. You look good!
Happy you’ve found something that helps.
I remember learning from a product design class that your elbows should be bent 90 degrees and at your sides whilst at a desk. Most desks I’ve had have been too high and bring the arms up. I’ve since lowered the desk which has been a game changer. My shoulders thank me
Hair colour change, Looks good.
thanks!
As someone who wears eyeglasses, I started getting serious neck pain with shooting nerve inflammation down my dominant arm. My physiotherapist told me progressive lenses are bad for that because they make you look up and down repeatedly, without you even noticing. I went to Costco and at the vision department they suggested “computer glasses.” The lenses are weighted heavily to the middle lens for mid vision. Works like a charm. Those plus some physio helped a lot and I have much less neck pain. Your suggestions are good too. I also have an ergonomic mouse and always make sure to rest my elbow. I like your new hairdo BTW.
Drink more milk, eat enough meat, and sleep well.😃
Great video. Thank you for the advice. Another thing I would recommend is, if you are getting pain, tingling, numbness, etc... down your arms, it's worth checking your neck for any issues. With desk sitting, we tend to hunch forward and put a lot of load on our necks. Overtime, nerves that feed the arms, fingers, etc... that run through the neck vertebraes (cervical) tend to get compressed and irritated
Love it, ergonomics is so important. If there's any left handed editors looking for an ergonomic mouse, I can recommend Perixx.
I use wacom pencil that is the best thing for wrist pain
Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock. 😐
All great suggestions and I have similar solutions. One thing that should be done OFTEN however, is stretches. Before, during, and after. Also, using a chiropractor for adjustments overlooked and underestimated the importance of using a chiro for adjustments. Love your hair btw!!!
I actually have two gardening pad gaff taped together, turned sideways, that extends to the edge of my desk. The desk and pad are aligned with the arm rest on my chair so it fully supports the entire arm This is the best setup I have had and I no longer suffer from any arm or wrist pains.
Another good video (and nice haircut!)!
nice haircut👍
Hair is fire!
Thank you!
nice look! ❤
thanks!
First. I think!
Another wonderful thing is my chiropractor! Probably my favorite doctor ever, and insurance covers about 80-90% of each visit!
PS, when is the next live?
Dang it, you beat me to it lol
@@TLDR_filmmaker 😉!
First, second or third point? 😂
Good ergonomic aids are always a must. I like the arm rest. That thumbnail is intense.
I've had reconstructive surgery on my right wrist and a vertical mouse is a game changer
Great arm rest.
Wow! I didn't know that this existed. I put it on my wish list on Amazon. Not sure how to attach it to my desk since my desk is one with drawers.
But the pain issue is real.
Wow excelent video and absolutely very helpful. I have pain in my neck since a few days, will try your suggestions for sure, thanks a lot Heather, by the way, love your new look 👍🏼😉
Love the new hair! 🎉
I removed my chair arm rests because they made my traps all tense, but I do miss having the support.
Didn't even know that a desk arm rest existed. What a game changer. 😮
Thanks!
Those are awesome ideas! I have a lot of back and neck pain from sitting at the desk and I initially had wrist pain when I switched from the MX Master to the 3S, but luckily that passed. What I do get is an aweful tension that runs from my shoulder up to my neck. Takes days to disappear once I’ve got it. It’s definitely from the way I hold the mouse + laying wrong while sleeping. When it happens, it’s so bad that I can’t move my head towards that side. I guess I should follow the advice in the comments and see a chiropractor. Thanks for the video!
PS. I also love your new hair and thought your last video very brave. Forgot to comment there.
Have ordered that armrest, thank you.
Hope you enjoy it!
Really cool arm rest. I love that. Heather, I noticed your Facebook page was down. Everything okay?
Cool! I showed my wife your video and she’s getting one for her arm pain.
Holy cow! I had no idea such things existed for arm support. That's one of the things I love about your channel, all these "magnificent toys." I don't do anywhere near the amount of editing that you do, but I am sure this video is going to help a lot of people. What cool gear!!
I'm begging you. Become a woman again. It's so frustrating to lose your beauty from my eyes.
