I just bought the same quad, but in a lot better shape the chains and sprockets were original but dry and missing some teeth, that was a real pain to replace them then got it all back together and the transmission seal started leaking had to pull it all apart again and change the seal. Now I’m doing tie rods and I forgot how they attach in the center trying to look at your video. Good job!
Hey guys I'm in watching you ever since Inception but you've helped me out quite a bit rebuilding my 1996 Polaris 425 Magnum period I'm looking for the exhaust pipe cover like you have on this machine the first video you rolled out when you rolled in the garage that black exhaust cover do you know where I could find one or could you ask Archie?
I had a 98 magnum 425 that was shaft drive for the front differential. But chain for the rear. Was a really weird setup. But it was identical to the sportsman and xplorer 400.
Hy i’ve got the same four wheeler Polaris magnum 425 4x4 95 mine was sitting at my ranch for over 2+ years and no one would do anything to fix it and I spent a good amount of money and got that thing up and running but I would for sure love to see a detailed video on how to do the brake calipers and maintenance the front brakes bc after I did my first run I realized I have no front brakes and I’m going to have to completely redo all that and I have no idea how to do so I’d be cool to see that because there’s no videos out there for that but love to see the process. 👍👍
Ive got a 96 im trynna rebuild the 425 motor in and everythinf elsenany websites for parts you could recomend like aftermarket or anything lol im new to this quad and dont know what else is compatible wkth it lol trynna go for a race quad build so lmk please and thank you
i recently came to your page it is a money pit we have a 1995 polaris 425 2x4 magnum would only try to run on starting fluild changed carb still wont open up aand stay running, cheap carb , would the fuel pump be next any suggestions
I would look into the jetting sizes and the fuel pump, as well. How does the plug look? That could be a good indicator of how it was running before, and if you smell fuel, it'll tell you that the jets are too large. Those cheap carburetors are hit or miss. The most important thing is to make sure the jetting on them is correct for your climate and elevation. Thanks for watching! Best of luck!
I got a 95 just like money pit ! Got it free but in WAY better shape. Still did a bunch of work on it to get it tral ride ready! Great bike now ! Lol
Thanks for watching! We call her Money Pit for a reason. A little bit of fine tuning and she'll be a great machine!
The best line ever "Archie likes sending us these clapped out machines" I'm the archie of my friends but I bring them to myself 😢😂
Archie is always sending us work. It's too bad we do it for fun and we don't charge him! LOL

We just finished filming the front brakes. Stay tuned for the video!! 👍👍
They are very solid wuads
They are indeed. However, this one was just a little rough around the edges.
I didn’t have time to watch it all, how much did the parts list cost?
I just bought the same machine and would like to know where you ordered the rear break caliper. Thanks!
Archie ordered the rear caliper, I believe on eBay. We found the part number on partzilla and cross referenced it.
Need to know where the wires go in the box there for the four-wheel drive Auto 4
Thanks for watching. Well look into it. Message us on Instagram, if you have it!
I have a 95 Magnum 425 4x4. What rear brake caliper did you use and where did you find it? I can't find one anywhere. Thanks!

I'm newer to polaris carb and fuel pump?
Can you give me the carburetor Kit Number you purchased for this 1996? I saw it in one of your videos but forgot to write it down..Thx!!
What do u know about trans I just picked one up and it runs fine just grinds when tryin to get into gear
It sounds like the shifting linkages need to be adjusted. We haven’t had to tear into one of these transmissions yet.
@@rustednutrepair675 yeah that was first thing I tried didn’t change anything
