- If you are doing a engine swap and doing a turbo conversion on your Golf mk3 VR6 then more than likely you're going to need more fuel flow, which means you're going to need a better flowing fuel pump.

So the tank I need is from MKIII 8V, 16V or VR6. I wonder if the fuel pump assembly from Ibiza ABF works with that tank because tank on Ibiza is very different than on MKII/III.
Thanks mate, I would guess yes that the 6K Ibiza ABF fuel pump/sender is the same as the mk3, but like you say, the tank itself is different, Ibiza 6K front half is mk3 and the rear of the car is Polo 6N.

Yes it will fit, a few friends running R30's have big in tank pumps.

I think the mk3 1.8 SPI has the same style tank/pump, just a very low pressure/flow pump, upgrade the pump and you should be good. 👍🏼
Hi, I have a question but not related to this video specifically. I have a vw mk1 with a 2L (2E long block) 8V (crossflow) head, do you perhaps know what thermostat it uses? The thermostat housing is oval in shape.
Hi, The thermostat housing is oval? the thermostat sits at the bottom of the water pump, is should be round, can't remember ever seeing a oval thermostat of VW's 🤔
@@RestoDesignsnando Sorry I meant the inside of the thermostat is oval in shape, it has 2 connecting points, 3 hose entries. I did some research and I think it might be the VW golf 5 GTI thermostat.
What improvement does it make? Will it work on a K Jetronic?
Unfortunately not on k jet due to k jet needing 5 bar which is why all the k jet fuel lines are screw or banjo fittings.
