I’m 63 and today’s “music” can’t hold a candle to what I grew up with in EVERY genre. No auto tune or techno manipulations either. Just talent.
I appreciate this respectful reviewer who listened attentively and didn't talk or interrupt the music. No lifting a bottle of water and chug-a-lugging it down in front of the camera and eating and interrupting. I feel if you're going to review, do it; if you're going to eat or drink, go to the kitchen and get off RUclips. Yes, really appreciated this reviewer. The Bee Gees music was unique and beautiful. Thank you for this respectful review.
I was in the grocery store and this song started playing in the speaker. Of course I started singing and swaying as I'm pushing my basket. Then I took notice that all the other shoppers where singing too. It was alot of people being hit with something beautiful at the same time. That was the vibe. Out of this world. Too Much Heaven😇
That's so awesome. Loved 😍 those guys.
Beethoven summed it up best. Music enters your heart and reaches into into your soul. You cannot stop it.
That's awesome.
Same thing happened to me at Loews with their song "NIGHT FEVER. I had to tell the guy waiting on me , to excuse me but as a disco queen in the 1970s I had no choice but to sing and groove. 😁🤣
They did write their own songs
Finally, someone who waits to hear the song before commenting. That is the proper way to do these reaction videos. When you interrupt without listening fully, you might not understand the meaning or concept of the message being sung, or you just want to hear your own voice without truly caring about the music.
They definitely gave us decades of beautiful music.
I bet the memories are incredible.
You'd be correct!
For sure!
Agreed.
The Bee Gee's were most definitely one of the best of all time.. I feel so sorry for Barry.... He's buried 3 younger brothers.. just can't imagine that pain... but he still keeps going on... respect.

@@bobbygrace8579 Barry is one of the most humble and self-effacing people in the business. You clearly have him confused with somebody else.
I loved about 3/4 of the way through when he hit one of those high notes and you looked up at the camera with such a dreamy look in your eyes if you love The Bee gees music you will also love the righteous Brothers
Slow dancing
💗🌸
As a 59 year old woman I still get chills hearing them sing.
No auto-tune… just pure voices and music! Love the BEEGEES ! Brings back many memories 🥰❣️
They donated all the royalties from this song to charity I think its UNICEF
You're right!
Music was so much better in the 70s. Pure. Raw. Emotion. Love. Dating. Holding hands. It was a magical time. Thank you BeeGees ❤
I was just thinking how the 70’s were all about music and hair😊
The 90s were the last great music decade.
Love, dating, holding hands.....Yes. Well said.
The 70s sold more records than any other decade!
@@michaelbruin8972 Lol!
Barry is close to 75 yrs old AND STILL SINGS this beautifully today
Actually he's 77.
My husband passed of ALS 2012 he loved to listen to the BEE GEES !! He was 62 so young he was bedridden for 3 yrs when i hear there music i cry but i love to reminisce Love you so sorry Berry for your loss !!
“My soul wants to hear beautiful music.” I can’t think of a better way to say it.
Everytime I hear this song I can't stop shaking my head in disbelieve about how beautiful this song is. Thanks for playing it and enjoying it.
Heard it in store yesterday and got hype.

Again
tear jerker 😥 this guy gets his heart broken
Indeed
As an old folk......Thank You my wonderful new generation...pay it forward.....let the people know...
Written by the Brothers Gibb (the Bee Gees), this song was released in 1978 when I was a junior in high school. The song was the band's contribution to the UNICEF Fund, and it has its own Wiki page if you'd like details. The Bee Gees pretty much owned the 70's but there is something about this song that just captures the essence of their unbelievable talent. It was an absolute privilege to have the Bee Gees be an integral part of the soundtrack of my teens and 20's. Only Barry is left now and the Brothers Gibb will never be the same, but OMG the music that they gifted us is an absolute treasure. And it is in fact true, that nobody gets too much heaven no more.
I like that you did not stop every few seconds, as some reactors do, and gave your opinion at the end. There was no autotune just pure talent.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤜🤛
@@NAIATHEDRAGON The Bee Gees were huge in the 60s also. They were successful in Australia first- they had immigrated from the UK. Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson ruled the late 70s for Falsetto type vocals too.
Love your honest reactions and the Bee Gees donated all the royalties from this song to UNICEF - raised over $8 million so far.
bee gees love you inside out
THANK YOU!! It gives me some hope for your generation to hear someone from it say they understand what REAL music should be and can do!!
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.)
Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Barry (the middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He will be 76 on September 1, 2022, which is also the 52nd wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds!!
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! You may have already listened to the following.
I recommend the following songs: (I know it's a lot of songs, but I think you'll like them)

At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2. ,
Those of us ‘of a certain age’ have had the pleasure of this music for the past ~50 yrs… it’s a deep deep dive if you choose to make it, but worth every minute spend enjoying it!! Pure, pure talent.. both writing and singing!!
Thx ...so well put !!!

Keep in mind. Singing live. No auto tune. No pitch correct. Insane talent. In fact if you can name a group or human that did it better, by all means. Just incredible. Much in the same way you could never say a soul did it better than Michael Jackson, you have to give The Bee Gees the same props. Unequaled. Great reaction man… also you have a unique speaking voice bro. Interesting to listen to. (Compliment)
It is a masterpiece ,Vocal harmony, incredible falsetto... a lot of soul, life and heart put into this song that I think Barry dedicated to his only wife and lifelong companion... and who have already been married for 52 years, that's why his face looks relaxed, it reflects peace, joy but above all it reflects the heart, love, feeling singing to his wife...!!! amazing....
I am 70 and the Bee Gee’s were my all time favorite and pretty much still are! They were fabulous and be sure to listen to all their songs.😊
This song and Fanny (Be Tender With My Love) are my absolute favorite Bee Gees songs. So emotional and soulful.
Quincy Jones called FBTWML the most beautiful R&B song ever written.
There will never be another group like the Bee Gee's ❣❣❣ *(RIP Andy, Maurice, & Robin)* Forever in our hearts.....
Brothers Gibb. They had hits over 5 decades. You likely heard the song “Staying Alive” and just didn’t know it was them. So many try that one next. Thanks for opening the BeeGees deep vault!
Too Much Heaven. That video is from the Bee Gee's live performance at The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $11 Million for UNICEF thus far.
Keep in mind that in 1979, things like auto tune had not been invented yet. This is just raw talent.
Actually, the above video is not the one used for the UNICEF concert. That video has a purple light around them.

WE LOVE THE BEEGEE'S. SO SAD GOD TOOK THEM SO SOON, WHAT A GIFT
Wonderful! I couldn't ask for a better reaction, and I appreciate so much that you want to show respect to the old-time artists by allowing the full video/ track to play out before commenting. The Brothers Gibb -- Oldest Barry (middle) flanked by fraternal twins (not identical as you can see), three years younger, Robin (beardless) and Maurice (pronounced "Morris") --they've been singing /performing since they were pre- teens, with Barry age 9 writing songs until the twins were 10-12 to contribute to the composing. They are UK British-born, with 9 years as pre-teens and teens in Australia before returning to try their fortunes back home in England in 1967 to big success and international mega-stardom.
Hey Tex-Tess N. I'm excited for more ☺️
Listen to an album. You will love it! They changed their sound each decade. I love nights on Broadway
The soundtrack for Saturday night fever is the one to listen to.
Born on the Isle of Man so originally Manx. They then moved to Manchester, then Australia, returning to England in 1967 smashed a few hits out then moved to America and thats where the whole family settled. I like their music more than the Beatles and Rolling Stones. Im more a Janis Joplin, Canned Heat Jefferson Airplane, Deep Purple, Led Zepplin, Bee Gees to Nightwish kinda girl. I have every Bee Gees album. Their list of hits is stupendously huge. Not only for themselves but also for other artists such as Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion, Dion Warwick, the lists are endless. Their harmonies are simply superb everything is perfect in every song. Their music is not just one genre. You think you know them then they amaze you with something else.

R.I.P. Andy,, Maurice & Robin...Thanks For ALL You Gave Us...Gone But Definitely Not Forgotten.🙏❤
Thank for listening without pausing. Really makes your reaction beautiful and real. Good job!❤
Well said. Lot of soul there. Just beautiful. They had 100 top 10 hits back in the day. Cant get better than that. Barry , lead singer, is still going strong at 75
Wow 100 is insane!
R&B, not disco!
@@spudjohnsonn8122 In the 70's we called that time of songs "DISCO". After Saturday Night Fever. They even wrote country.
@@JeanetteFaith I know I was around at the time, they also did Folk, R&B, Rock & Gospel, probably the most versatile group in music.
Unfortunately Barry is suffering constantly with arthritis and back pain, he's finding it almost impossible to even hold a guitar. He even thinks that he's not got long to live. Saw a recent video enough to make you cry. 😎🖐🦘
In an old interview Barry (n the center), once said that the brothers could not read music, and that their harmonies just came naturally! Seriously their music just puts you in a mood! The Saturday Night Fever tracks make you wanna move!!! Great stuff!
Not just the tracks... Saturday Night Fever is an awesome movie too!
Wonderful reaction, I believe you got a bit emotional....welcome to the amazing Bee Gees. No autotune just pure talent, their live performances sound exactly like their recorded ones.
“When you’ve got brothers singing together it’s like an instrument nobody else can buy”. - from their Broken Hearts documentary. They’re simply fabulous!
So much musical history on these brothers. They defined an era in the 70’s. Yet, we’re relevant in 4 decades. NO band can brag on that fact. They have written over 1000 songs. And all of their albums are their own songs.
Bee Gees loved black music and considered themselves R&B. Barry Gordon of Motown said their song Jive Talkin was one of the best R&B songs he ever heard.
BEST GROUP EVER!!! And, they wrote songs for so many other artists!!!!!! They were an amazing family!!!
A lot of soul and a lot of love....no hate, no negativity, mediocrity, vulgarity, etc., etc., etc.
I love watching an entire new generation enjoying the music I grew up on!! Ahhh the memories!!!
The Bee Gees, The Carpenters, Neil Diamond, Linda Rodstadt, Olivia Newton John, John Denver, & Cat Stevens were some of my childhood favorites. Absolutely pure, beautiful vocals.
OMG, grew up in the late 70's with the Bee Gees. Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. A bunch of bangers on the soundtrack. Jive Talkin is another good song. They have hits for days. 😊
I thought you were in your 20s 😮
So did I
Jive Talking is a great song!!! The late 70s /early 80s were the best. We had Funk,Punk,Hard Rock, Disco, and early Rap was just the best. Run DMC :) I think Raising Hell is one of my fav albums ever. I am struggling to think of a great band that has appeared since the 90s? The 90s were awesome for music too,of course. Nirvana etc.
Same here
A perfect reaction. You get it! How Deep is your Love, One, You Win Again, Jive Talking, Fanny be tender with my love, For Whom the Bells Toll...50 years of hits in this rabbit hole! Enjoy 😉
Thanks Betty!
One of their best...EVER... Lyrically, vocally and just musically! And soulfully! This song has it all! BeeGees are legendary!
Great 👍 reaction!
My favorite group of all time❤️ Thanks for the reaction and respect.❤️
My favorite group as well and my mother's favorite also
I'm 47, and this is one of my favorite songs from them. This just melts my mind, body, and soul, delivering me into a state of pure bliss. When I was younger, my precious mother would put Bee Gees music on and hold me; sometimes she would comb my hair. I'm blessed to still have her with me, and I now play this music on my phone, and we watch videos of them while I comb her hair. Beautiful, nostalgic memories. This song gives me the feeling that everything is going to be okay in my life. That's what their music does to me. For me, this music is heaven on earth. Thank you for your honest reaction to a classic from True Legends. God bless you and all who are watching and listening. Enjoy everyone!🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼🥰
The BeeGees were exceptional; pure talent; their voices blended so well
These brothers had over a thousand songs written and sung by themselves from the 60s to 2003 when Mo passed. They also wrote for many other artists. These 3 and their younger brother Andy who passed away very young just as he was about to join the BeeGees were all phenomenal talents with craxy vocal range.
The Bee Gees first tried out the falsetto in "Nights on Broadway". It's very much worth a listen, and a great look into how they developed their sound and where they came from. Incredible track. ♪♪
I gotta check that out 💯
Yes the vocals where in the upper registers, but not falsetto. It is called 'head' voice, which is much clearer and has the power falsetto cannot deliver.
Thank you, I love that song and had no idea that their signature high pitch came from it.
Love nights on Broadway!
Thank you for that beautiful tribute.
I'm glad to hear another generation appreciates the beautiful music of the Bee Gees.😅
If you are just discovering the Bee Gees you have so much beautiful music to enjoy. They were, and are still, incredible. I can only imagine how much Barry misses his twin brothers. By the way thank you for playing the whole song before speaking.
I am so glad that I came across your channel today. It always amazes me to watch young folks play a BeeGees song for the first time and hear their reactions to their songs. Everyone responds like they just discovered gold or something. They were talented without a doubt, and perhaps they sung harmony better than any other group you can name. I started listening to them in the 1960s when I was growing up. I loved them then and I still love them today. I know that you have to be pretty young not to have heard of them, so I recommend you find a little movie called "Saturday Night Fever". The music of the BeeGees is all throughout the movie. If you like their music then you will perhaps enjoy watching the movie. Best to you my friend. ( I could recommend more of their songs to you, but I would need two pages here to do so). 💐🌹❤❤❤🤗😉😉😉
Very thoughtful reaction to this musically and vocally magic performance of a lifetime. Listen to More than a Woman and a few others of theirs.
You described the feeling perfectly. It truly is a higher frequency song. I’m not even from that generation but I lean towards this type of music ❤
Your generation should bring this beautiful music back to popularity. These were good vibes songs. They relax your mind. No bad language, no machine mixing or speaking instead of singing. 😊
Kathy here - almost 69 years old and love seeing the younger generation appreciating the music I grew up with. 3 Brother, one mic and no auto tune. Will never be duplicated ever! Thanks for not stopping the video and loved your reaction! They caught you off guard with Barry's first solo riff. LOL And yes, hearing their music does bring back so many memories, of slow dancing to this one, shaking it from some of songs from Stay Alive Album.
The BeeGees where amazing. They will forever be in history as one of the best artists ever. Dive into more of their music. You will be surprised. Thank you for reacting to them.
I'm 71 now, but I remember seeing the Bee Gees in 1968 in LA at a fantastic concert where they sang their early songs which I love to this day. Really great memories of their amazing harmonies!!
I turned 70 last month. 90% of my iTunes library is music from the 1970s. I can’t believe it was 50 years ago. There was always somebody having a party or discotheques where you could dance all night with women in dresses and men in suits. My,my, my, things have changed. And not for the better.
I'm a grandparent now. The 60s, 70s, and 80s was my time. My grandchildren are all teens now. I have been trying for years to introduce them to the greatest era in music history ever. My 15 year old granddaughter has had her eyes and ears opened. While the other rugrats are playing video games and are on social media, she spends hours every week with me listening and singing along to classic rock, soul, blues, and some jazz. We will even FaceTime each other and listen to the greats as I try to give her the history of the musicians as well as trying to tie the music in with a history lesson. I believe it's important to teach our children what was actually happening in the world when a certain song was written and recorded.
Ooooh So many Bee Gees songs to hear. "Staying Alive" gets my vote, and "Jive Talking", and "I Started a Joke", and . . . . Wait! You haven't done the Righteous Brothers yet? You have quite a musical journey to come.
The four seasons is one to check out
" who loves you baby"
You don't know the music you missed in 70's -80's!! The Bee Gees we're incredible..The most harmonic group of guys in music! Who didn't love these guys?
Paul McCartney and indeed the middle dude "Barry Gibb" the best falsetto of all time - from the Bee Gees. The most talented songwriters in music history - their songwriting is simply from a another planet - quote by Elton John 🍾🔥🪐
All three brothers wrote most of their songs, not just Barry. He always gets all the credit. Sad.
@@susieq9801 Guiness Book of Records see this otherwise, there he is marked as best songwriter of all time together with Paul McCartney
@@MischaGER - That's wonderful BUT look at the LP liner notes and see whose names are on 90% of the song credits. Everyone seems to think Barry wrote everything and his brothers were some kind of back up act which upsets me. Even songs like "Guilty" and "Woman in Love" for Streisand, ""Chain Reaction" for Diana Ross, "Islands in the Stream for Rogers, "Emotion" for Samantha Sang, "Immortality" for Celine Dion, etc. either Barry and Robin Gibb or all three brothers. Maurice was by far the best musician and did most of the arrangements. Barry wrote most of the songs when they were young because the twins were over three years younger but they soon caught up. The other brothers also wrote for other people eg, Robin and Blue Weaver wrote the big hit "Hold on to my love" for Jimmy Ruffin. Mo and Robin wrote songs for Robin's several great solo LP's.
I find Barry doesn't always make great efforts to dissuade people from thinking he wrote everything. Meanwhile he gets knighted and is "Sir". 😒 What about Robin's musical and philanthropic work? What about Mo's? All did philanthropic work. All sang and composed.
Note - Elton said "Their songwriting is simply from another planet". THEIR SONGWRITING.
Was Barry great? Sure, but so were Rob and Mo and where is there recognition?
I agree ... the best falsetto at the time and for a long time...but...a new voice has taken "Emotion" from Destiny's Child, recorded all the parts and blown many away. Gabriel Henrique of Brazil he does not speak English but is learning. Tell me what you think.
ruclips.net/video/AEdGV86XpcQ/видео.html
Paul McCartney 🤣 NO just NO I'm sorry. Best falsetto ever was Barry Gibb ....2nd place goes to Frankie Valli of the four seasons.
These Brothers Made Some Great Classics That Stuck In Your Head,,
The Brothers Johnson "I'll Be Good To You",, "Strawberry Letter #23" & "Stomp"
Wow! You really hit the nail on the head with your reaction! Fantastic. You’re 1000% correct that there just isn’t the “music” in music these days. Melodies, harmonizing, beautiful arrangements are all so rare. We were in our prime in the 70’s and the dancing and music was simply wonderful, fun and romantic. Too many today are either just talking through the songs or, women especially, are screeching instead of singing. Mariah Carey has such a gorgeous voice and ruins it with that. Anyhow, thanks for appreciating “our” music. It’s truly appreciated.
Mom and dad had them playing in the house ALL the time with : Bee Gees , Earth a wind and Fire , The Carpenters , Anita Baker , Jodi Mitchell. Flood many memories when I hear it . You see , all the 80’s movies .. it really was like that . Incredible and soo much beautiful music .
And your reaction was "beautiful and amazing." Glad you enjoyed the BeeGees. They have plenty more for you to love. 👍
Love your reaction. Don’t forget that those incredible voices were backed by full orchestra accompaniments
of talented musicians…..it makes a huge difference!❤
That natural harmony that family members sometimes have is like no other.
LEGENDS of music. Three Brothers that created some of the most iconic music. They started around the same time as The Beatles!
Personally I think the bees gees were UNDERRATED and the Beatles were OVERRATED IMO.
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Their music touches your heart and soul!! Perfection! Watch Fanny be tender with my love!
Bee Gees were so consistently successful as performers and writers with fabulous musical arrangements and those harmonies ... nothing fabricated. Sadly Maurice and Robyn have passed but Barry still performs with family members and they have left a legacy of hit after hit both for themselves and other artists. Truly phemonemal musical talents. British born but spent many years living in Australia appearing on early Australian television shows. Their first hit was Spicks and Specks, which went #1 in Australia just as they left to return to Britain for a greater chance of international success. They achieved that in spades! They do have a sister who was not part of their act and she still lives in Australia.
Beautiful harmonies!!

A real love song. Do people even sing love songs any more!? 3 brothers with absolute perfect pitch and unity. Amazing!
No autotune. The Bee Gees were playing in my college years. Guess I'm a Golden Oldie now.
The Bee Gees (among the most successful groups of all time) wrote & released Too Much Heaven in 1978. It was climbing charts world wide (already #1 in US & Canada, #3 in UK) before the Jan 1979 fundraiser, “Music for UNICEF.” They then donated, in perpetuity, ALL their royalties, not just from the UNICEF event, merch & compilation album (as the other bands did, though some just for a limited time), but also their publishing rights. So, UNICEF continues to get paid, from anyone’s version & any use (including in movies, TV, commercials, etc). As the 1st band to make such a donation to charity, they were recognized for it by UN Secretary General, Kurt Waldheim & invited to the White House by President Carter. The last official tally I saw was 2017, saying UNICEF had received more than $11 million from it, for emergency food & healthcare. I’ve seen others post it hit 20 million as of 2019, but I haven’t found a solid source for that. Barry included the song on his 2021 hit album, Greenfields, so that (duet with Alison Krauss) will bring UNICEF even more $$.
...to quote Bruce Willis, "Welcome to the party, pal!" Great reaction son. We have been enjoying the Bee Gees for over 50 years now. Their musical library is huge! Jump in fearlessly...
I know you wont see this Barry but love you. Your so humble and kind and you love your fans even today. Your my favorite and have been since 1975. So glad i got to see you live in 79. Im 63 now.
The Bee Gees are great. The harmonizing is beautiful.
Thank you for reacting to the Bee Gees! I did not appreciate them as much as I should have when they were actually singing in the 1970s but watching these reactions I have an amazing amount of new respect for them! What was I thinking?
This was one of three #1’s they wrote in 1 afternoon, and one of 3 #1 hits on the same album. Coproducers in the studio when Too Much Heaven was recorded said that Barry conceived of using latest technology to multitrack his voice with three part harmonies is natural voice and in falsetto. They said he recorded each of the tracks one time each without listening to previous tracks in earphones. They blended together perfectly. They then brought in Robin and Maurice (who are twins, 3 years younger than Barry), and recorded 3 additional tracks. Musical genius - singer, writers, performers, musicians, and producers. Tons of great material to react to!!! Please react to HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE. Thanks!
That smile when they start warms my heart. I love watching people discover the amazing Brothers Gibb. Keep going, the catalog is huge. Try Fanny Be Tender next. ❤️
Great presentation and reaction! Liked that you didn't stop the music every few seconds like your competitors do and let it play fully to the end before giving your excellent comments. You'll find the quality of the music/artists from the "old days" are more superior and unforgettable than what we have now. Welcome to our world!
Listening to a classic song without interrupting the artist is respect for them. You are a rare channel and I have subscribed because of that. I'm old school and I miss the music of my young days.
I love watching the young people listen to music from my years of growing up. I especially appreciate how respectful you are about it. The BeeGees are among the very, very greatest ever! They wrote all their music,as well as so much music for others. These brothers were real, as well as most of music of our days because there was no autotunes. It makes me very happy to watch you.
