No auto tune. This is talent. This is real music. Welcome to the 70's. See what you all have been missing.
Anybody can have soul soul doesn't have a skin shade it just is soul is what lives in the heart. ❤️❤️❤️
Well said! 🇨🇦👍
Correct. I love to listen black soul music and I also love white soul music.
Totally agree ❤
Absolutely ❤ ur comment
Perfectly said
They had over a thousand songs and never had a bad song ever. From 60s to early 2000s these brothers had hits in every decade. There was only voices and talent back then. No autotune it wasn't invented yet.
👐👐👐
I don't know what is going on with youtube... I occasionally see my comments that I make on different videos show up in weird places... like I have never seen this channel before and this is the first time I commented
And they wrote many hits for other artists like Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand and others.
💗🌸 I love your words..x
So sad that all have passed away except Barry.
Yes sir. The greatest 3 part harmony I've ever heard. No electronics, no auto-tune, just straight skills.
no electronics? sick of this comment. they used neve desks still in use! not to mention vocal harmonizers controlled by keyboards.
This is what legends are made of. Best vocal trio of all time. Nobody can touch them. Ever!
Everyone has soul, it’s expressed differently in everyone. The 70’s and 80’s were fantastic
The unique individual voices and collective harmonies are as good as they get. This song truly is the closest thing to perfection.
So nice to see a young person enjoying music I grew up on. You should do a reaction to several of their songs
Also if you love that soul sound try out some righteous Brothers you will be absolutely amazed
The Gibb Brothers had been singing since they were children. Soul has no skin color my friend. Great reaction.
Welcome in the biggest catalogue in the music industry - 1135 tunes in fifty years with 36 #1 Hits and 100 #10 Hits - the amazing Brothers Gibb, Maurice, Robin and Prince Charming "Barry Gibb" - the most famous falcetto voice in history - check their monster bangers real black soul music from white dudes - Night Fever, Fanny be Tender & and for sure best love song ever How Deep is Your Love 🍾 you will be blown away 😎🔥
Truth. ✌️
Fanny is my fav Bee Gees song! ❤️
@@sandradyer5956 mine too
From their “Broken Hearts” documentary it was said that “when you’ve got brothers singing together it’s like an instrument nobody else can buy.”
Yes, said by Noel Gallagher (who currently does not speak with his brother anymore lol)
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Their music touches your heart and soul ❤️
They harmonized so incredible they sound like one person
You’ve probably heard Stayin’ Alive and didn’t know it was the Bee Gees.
Too Much Heaven: The Bee Gees performed this song live at The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $13 Million for UNICEF thus far.
Love the Bee Gees
God blessed each brother with beautiful voices. Perfect harmonies. This songs never gets old!!!! Great reaction!
The brothers Gibb did not know they could do the fallsettos until they had been singing for years. Their talent is still unsurpassed. Cheers.
These youngsters have no idea how truly brilliant the music and musicians were in the 60s and 70s!! Amazing times to have grown up in!!
Yes, that's their voices, no autotune! Barry (middle) started using falsetto in the 70's when Disco Era music getting much played on the radio. Barry and his brothers (Robin and Maurice) started out singing when they were kids in the 50's. Their family from their home country of England to Australia because better place for them. Barry stated in a recent interview after Robin died in 2012 (Maurice died in 2003) that brothers were getting into trouble. Then brothers decided to stop getting into trouble and focusing their career in music. Now, Barry, lone Bee Gee is 75 and still active in music. Brothers also had a younger brother named Andy Gibb who was in music died back in 1988 at the age of 30. Andy had issues with addiction prior to his death.
Blue eyed soul my brother.🥰❤
3 beautiful men who can never be replaced, beautiful men beautiful voices & music forever Bee gees ♥️♥️♥️
Natural pure talent, love love them, no other group comes so close to these guys, poor Barry only one left 😢
Great reaction. 70's and 80's had the one of the best groups no auto tune. Love it
The brothers started singing at a VERY young age....amazing and love to see younger people fall in love with them too
As a former musician, singer and wanna be song writer. It all comes from deep within us in a place that many fear to tread. It's much more than just a sound, it's a passionate drive that takes us as well as others on a journey. Enjoy the ride!
The Bee Gees would have been the first group to have the cross over black demographic listening audience….their 70’s catalogue is stacked with soulful/Disco classics….you’ve probably heard “ Staying Alive”
They grew up working class and humble.
Meet the BeeGees!! They were an amazing trio with voices from heaven. This isn't even the best song to show off their vocals!! They were one of the biggest groups ever and this gen xer has loved them since childhood, when my crush was the younger brother Andy Gibb. Had his poster from Tiger Beat on my wall! check out more songs from them, you wont be disappointed!
Music from my era. I am so glad you enjoyed them! Fantastic reaction 😊
Lily white...born in England, raised in Australia.
Actually they were born on the Isle of Man which isn't part of England or the UK. People on the island have British citizenship. The Gibb brothers' parents were English and came from Manchester. Barry in fact spent most of his childhood within the British Isles. He left with his family to go to Australia in 1958, aged 11, as £10 Poms. The twins were nearly 9.
That song is absolutely beautiful this cannot be replaced this is a timeless classic will never get old I was 6 when this came out in 1978 now I'm 51 and let me tell you it's still amazing they can't make music like this anymore for sure ❤
"Tell me they don't sound like a group of brothers" 🤣🤣🤣. Ok, that made me crack up since, well, they are a group of brothers. Just not the kind you were meaning.
Pure raw talent!! Legends!! 🥰🎶
The Bee Gees/ no color barriers in music! They were the BEST! British brothers raised in Australia. Every one loved their music. They were blasted in the "hood" too. Perfection... perfect harmonies and every little Black girl in America was in love with Barry Gibbs' fine ass and perfect falsetto!
When you listen to this song for the first time it's like falling in love for the first time, you are caught by surprise and cannot possibly be prepared for it. When you listen to it again afterwards you remember how it felt like to fall in love and you relive that precious moment.
I had the great pleasure to play supporting Group - my band was called The State Property in Galashiels Scotland. We played in Selkirk Victoria Hall in 1968 with the Bee Gees - a fabulous evening!!! Will Never forget it!!!!!
Yes, they are brothers... just not the way you meant. Barry Gibb is 3 years older than the twins Robin (no beard) and Maurice (thinning hair). Top singers, musicians, songwriters, and producers over 4 decades. Looking forward to your next reaction to see what you chose.
He proved what I've been telling people. "Brother" has become a synonym for the N-word.
Barry Gibb is the lead singer. singing in Falsetto. Falsetto is the vocal register occupying the frequency range just above the modal voice register and overlapping with it by approximately one octave. It is produced by the vibration of the ligamentous edges of the vocal cords.
Thanks for that explanation!
Disco kings too. Staying Alive a massive hit.
Pure BRILLIANCE! There will NEVER be any group like them.
I am an old woman aged 67 from England..lived n loved my youth 2 Bee Gees...They are brothers who lived early lives in Australia but came bak 2 England n became famous here! They wrote amazing songs, music n lyrics, 4 great singers including Barbara Striesand!! Listen 2 all their tunes babyboy...thank u xxx
Proof that SOUL has no color. These amazingly talented brothers are from Australia.
Nope. All born withn the British Isles. None of them gave up their British citizenships. Read their biographies. Only spent 9 years in Australia.
Welcome to Blue Eyed Soul!! BeeGees were HUGE!
One of their band members said when you hear them live in a room, it's magical
Everybody that's listening to the Bee Gees this is their real voice it's a real Orchestra it's a god-given talent and their brothers read your comments
These brothers used to sing in their bedroom as very young children and their mother thought her sons were listening to the radio!! The gave their first performance when the twins were only 5!! They were performing for more than 50 years when the first one died in 2003. They write the best songs and the best harmonies! They also wrote for other artists; my favorite being Immortality performed by Celine Dion with them backing her up! It’s a beautiful piece!!
Research the songs these guys wrote. AMAZING talent.
These were 3 brothers Barry, oldest and tallest in the middle, Robin and Maurice are twins. There was also a younger brother, Andy Gibb, who unfortunately passed away in 1988 (I think it was) before he turned 30 years of age. These brothers were born in England but ended up growing up in Australia. They've been singing since they were kids!! Thank you for being so appreciative of older, our generation of music!!
Being born in the 60's I have had the pleasure to here such beautiful music by so many old and new musicians.
The Bee Gees "Saturday Night Fever" Album is what inspired Michael Jackson to make the Thriller Album.
These are BROTHERS. Blood brothers , their harmonies are Family harmonies. 👪
Thankyou so much 💓 from Australia 🇦🇺 😀 💖
They are one of the greatest groups there ever was. Wrote all their songs as well as for other artist. Only one of left now.
They Are a "group of brothers".
Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibbs!
The B G s? BeeGees!
No one did it better. Let’s just be honest. The crazy thing is that all FOUR of the brothers were immensely talented. All three of The Bee Gees and the little brother, who sadly died young had some hits as well. They were before my time, but as I get older there is simply no denying the vibe. Unreal.
love seeing these young bloods seeing how we used to do it back in the gap. pop-pop was laying it down smooth.
Soul in your heart comes out . Talking INNER SOUL .!!!! Now listen to Tom Jones .... really listen to the passion in his voice hits every word. Yeah... no recording fixes. That is pure talent it's TIMELESS !!!! Every generation enjoys it. That's music.
The Bee Gees are brothers and had loads of great songs over different genres and decades. They also wrote for other singers. One of the best groups to come from the UK.
They are actually Australian and yes, they are fabulous.
@@kmbrly101 They were born in the Isle of Man (part of the UK) moved to Manchester and then emigrated to Australia. They then returned to the UK before moving to America.
@@kmbrly101 only lived in Australia for 9 years. Never gave up their British citizenships. Emigrated to Australia as £10 poms. Brits.
@@spacefanatic Isle of man isn't technically part of the UK or England but people there are British citizens. The brothers come from an English family (Manchester).
Is 2023 where you have been this music is from '70s and 80s. The best one the best one
Back in the day, we Blacks mostly listened to Motown. It was almost criminal to listen to anything else😄 I'm 70 years old now and just started really listening to the Bee Gees about 2 or 3 years ago. Now, can't get enough! I truly love the Bee Gees (Robin is my fav.) I'm hooked on blue-eyed soul and soft rock. Check out some Ambrosia (You're the Biggest Part of Me), Kenny Loggins (This Is It), The Rascals (It's a Beautiful Morning), The Righteous Brothers (Unchained Melody), Boz Scaggs (Dirty Lowdown), Michael Bolton (When A Man Loves A Woman), The Doobie Brothers (Minute by Minute), Bobby Caldwell (What You Won't Do for Love). The list is LONG and impressive.
They sang together as little boys and just got better and better and better. That's how legends are made.
I guess you've never listened to the Bee Gees before? Love your reaction! Here's another song of theirs that will probably surprise.
1977 - Stayin' Alive - ruclips.net/video/fNFzfwLM72c/видео.html
They have been singing since they were very young boys together. Their little brother is very good too. Andy Gibbs.
They devoted time and commitment to becoming good.
I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception.
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure.
Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. He left behind his wife, Yvonne and two children. Robin left behind his wife, Dwina and 4 children. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. Andy left behind a daughter. The brothers wrote all of his songs.
Barry stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.)
On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs:
How Deep Is your Love? ruclips.net/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/видео.html
Closer Than Close ruclips.net/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/видео.html
One ruclips.net/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/видео.html
You Win Again ruclips.net/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/видео.html
Spirits (Having Flown) ruclips.net/video/ONmVEJnxysc/видео.html
Bodyguard ruclips.net/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/видео.html
Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) ruclips.net/video/b_wTZjo9azk/видео.html (Yea...Destiny Child's was a cover. Nice harmony, but crazy video. Who pours bleach on someone's clothes?) Barry said he likes it. I guess so. Can we say, "Royalties."
At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2!
Barry has since released a CD titled: The Gibb Brothers' Songbook (Vol. 1). (January 2021) It has more of a country sound. It includes other artists singing the brothers' songs. .
The Bee Gees also wrote hit songs for many other artists... They are Legends and multi-talented. They have tons of hit songs that are timeless.
they had a brother who died at 30 years old named Andy Gibb . i loved his music also , you need to listen to Shadow Dancing by him and i think you would be very surprised .
He was singing this song to his wife in the audience, Barry Gibb, my time, my music! I’m 70.
The 1st time I saw the Bee Gees was on Australian TV back in the 60s (black and white) they were still in School, doing a cover of a Beatles song & they sounded pretty much the same as To much heaven
Soul knows no color, Sweetheart. This is pure love flowing from their hearts to yours and mine. 😊 I'm 75 y o. I've heard this song literally HUNDREDS of times and they still touch my heart every time! Welcome to the 1970s
Look up “ The making of Tragedy” another great song from the brothers Gibb!
And they did this in one take...no auto tune here!!
Their parents were also in the business. Crazy talent right?? 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
That was a live performance from perfection they were brilliant
andy gibb shadow dancing
I don't care what anyone else thinks or does, if I have a few minutes away from the work on the farm, my favorite is watching all the young people discovering music I lived through and still liten to today. Especially the young black kids discovering that there are some very soulful 'whiteys' our here!! Haha! (loved the look on your face, young man!) I was lucky enough enough to sing a set with the great Cocoa Taylor years ago in western Canada. I'm as white as this page I'm typing on, many were surprized. Haha! It was one of the highlights of my life. Nothing has beat going to the Queen concert in Montreal 1981 for my B-day! Meeting Cocoa was pretty close though.
Soul didn't drop out of heaven in the year 2000s it's been around for a very long time way before you were born hun we've been listening to it from the '60s '70s and '80s you have a lot to learn welcome to our generation your generation never had it let our generation teach you something And that beautiful man in the middle that would be none other than Barry Gibb
Lily white blue eyed soul! ❤ Soul has absolutely NO color as you can see! This is real music... ❤❤❤❤
Getting that high and clean and soft of a falsetto is amazing. Now remember, his brothers are also singing falsetto, in flawless Harmony. That makes this legendary.
The Bee Gees not only performed their own work but wrote many of the songs that were highly successful and soulful in the 60's, 70"s and 80's. Look for Barry Gibb who published an album from their catalog in 2020. Barry, (the one in the middle) is the only one still alive at the age of 75, he lives in Miami with his wife. Read the article in the New York Times from 2022 where he still works to keep the music alive. They donated much of their proceeds to Unicef and were some of the greatest soulful artists of my time. Gen Xer here.. greatest musical generation in the history of the world. Pure music, no autotune, perfect harmony, no sampling, just raw talent.
You’re not trippin, they’re that good! Baby making, straight soul music! The harmonies are unreal and that falsetto is unmatched!
and they wrote all their songs. incredible
Loved your reaction brother 😀
If you take the time to go back to the music from decades before you, you’ll find great artist of all color, singing their hearts out with some beautiful music just like the Bee Gees❤
The Bee Gees are legends and they touch your soul with those voices❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Young man you are listening to the greatest vocal group in musical history they were our number one guys we were privileged to enjoy foe 4 decades. Yea I’m a boomer from the 60’s I’m 74 and I am enjoying your kids reaction to The Bee Gees the greatest ,ask your mama or daddy. Enjoy
This girl went to Georgia Tech 1971-1977 in Architecture. Yep. And the next year, this song came out. This is the music I grew up to! They sang together from the age of 3 to 4. THIS is what EVERYONE sang, harmonies. We all did, but they were masters at it!!!! You have to understand, this is the way it was, the 60s 70s and 80s were the Best in music, the radio stations in the southeast ran the songs back to back little talking between and all harmonized real music and uplifting. It needs to go back to that, not all this deconstructive mess called music you hear today, it is not music, THIS is real music! Enjoy it!!!!
The BG is originally from Great Britain and move to Australia and that's where they live at the time of this song. Born on the The Isle of Man.
Yah as a kid growing up in the 80’s in Texas .. mom / dad played Bee Gees , The Carpenters ( another powerhouse group ) , kool n the Gang ..and others all the time at the house . I love my childhood dude because didn’t matter what genre of music .. everyone had GIFTED talent .. it’s none existent now . I wish you could have experienced that time . Great reaction .
I have to believe that thinking another race doesn’t share the same skills, innate talents or abilities is just a lack of exposure, even when it comes across as something different ❤
You probably heard this at a wedding. Actually, most likely. It's one of those wedding songs.
THEY were around for 60 YEARS!! Most of the "SOUL" songs you know THEY WROTE!
That is insane!!! That's The Bee Gees!!!❤❤❤
They started when the twins *you can see* were about 6 years old, and that is how they sang! Originally from the UK, they moved to Australia. They were about as poor as possible... then their sons started singing.
The Brothers Gibb were singing when they were young boys. They wrote most of their own beautiful songs and we're about as influential as the Beatles.
I meet them on holiday in the isle of man met their mum and dad I am 70 loving family so sad only one brother alive Christine from uk x
Great reaction! ❤❤❤ More Bee Gees! They are my favorite band and have dozens and dozens of top 10 hits!!❤❤❤❤❤
They were all brothers, and the two on the outside were actually twins. you can't teach that sort of harmony, it is just instinct.
The brothers Gibb were singing from when Barry was 9 and the twins, Robin & Maurice were 6. They loved to sing as kids, Barry was writing music and songs from 10-11 years old.
They were never afraid to experiment with the sounds their voice could make. Their voices are just another instrument to them, so you can see over the years how adaptable they are, mimicking sounds is changing a note to them, but their sound is amazing.
They moved to the US in the mid 70’s, so we’re introduced to different producers, from that we have their mid - late 70’s music, some of the best, in my opinion.
Hope you enjoy more Bees Gees music 🖖
The Gibb Brothers Barry has a voice of an angel. I love seeing the reactions to songs we grew up with.
The 70's were the bomb, the music and dancing at the clubs, freakin fantastic !!
Three brothers, one microphone.
