    His dad sounds so sweet. Imagine winning a gold medal from the Olympics and not hanging it up for people to see. I like that.

    • @Nangeala
      @Nangeala 8 лет назад +4

      +Minty My grandfather won a silver medal at the 1936 olympics in coxless pair (2 man - Harry Larsen). Hughs dad was in sculls I asume since that was the only gold Britain won. My granddad was a police officer and was actually put ina sort of work camp when our country was occupied. - He never hung his diploma, and I believe the medal was kept in a chest somewhere, and never shown off.

      Hugh said his father won his medal in 1948 if I understood correctly. He just said his father was there in Berlin in 1936.

    I've watched the entire HOUSE series three or four times now. I'm in the 8th season now.
    I'm an American woman, & I've always been VERY impressed how Mr. Laurie does his american accent
    so very, very well.
    He truly seems to be a kind man, nothing like Gregory House!
    I tend to believe that Mr. Hugh Laurie is a fairly modest man, like his father was.
    I enjoy everything that he is in. Everything.
    I'm truly sorry to hear that he has been paying a 'price' for the bad leg, limping (House) as of about five years ago.
    I'm so sorry. ❤
