Thanks Dan! I am excited, I just found D & W at one of my local grocery stores and I hope to review soon. I got one pack of the 'New York Brand Uncured Beef Franks' and one pack of the 'Black Forest Wieners' - which are slightly longer and bigger looking, not sure why. Any opinion on those two?
@@michaelwilsonbarber Not sure... I get the all beef... not sure about the "uncured part"...I've not seen the Black Forest before... I have also had the pork wieners which are also good. Natural casings are the best

Hi Danny, thank you so much! I love Nathan's as my current favorite dog. I just found some today, Jumbo Nathan's and will review soon. I've also heard about the quarter pound Nathan's which I may also try to review in the future.

@@dpausa I got a pack of 5 Jumbo Nathan's 'restaurant style' for 5.99 yesterday. It's about 2.5 oz per dog and I'm excited to try them and review them. I have pics but I don't think RUclips will let me attach here.
I would do a Google search 'Sabrett's' availability in NC. I also know they can be ordered online but for a price. If you have Boar's Head products sold near you, I discovered they have a great natural casing hot dog, very good dog I recommend.
I think I had Sabrett's when I visited NYC. I am trying to find them locally but not sure yet. I think they have natural casing, so that is a different category. I DO want to review them and stay posted.......
@michaelwilsonbarber I'm in south central Pennsylvania, and my local Walmart sells them, but only the skinless version, which still have a type of skin on them.
@@Scifi4life Oooohhh, really? Are they natural casing? I saw those a couple days ago and dismissed them thinking, "It's Wal-Mart." Next time I WILL get some, TY!
@Capt083 I get them at a supermarket called Publix...but they are not in the regular hot dog section. At this supermarket, they have a Boar's Head section in the deli where BH pickles and other hot dogs are displayed.
Best ever was BEST"S brand Chicago all beef frank, extended family made, until bought by the same corporation the makes Ball Park franks, then dissolved over time!
I would certainly choose any of your top three. There are some others I enjoy that are not available nationwide; Costco, Aldi, and Safeway come to mind. Most of all, I prefer natural casing hot dogs over skinless.
Thanks Trek, the top three I had here are the best in this category, yes agreed! I have been looking for natural casing dogs but I'm having some trouble actually finding some in my area. I do have a few leads and will review if I can find some. I think natural casing dogs are a different category than those without casing.
Yeah, the beef Bar S was barely better than the turkey, chicken, and pork by Oscar Mayer. I might be able to finish the beef Bar S dogs if I grill them and have good toppings. Otherwise, I might use them for catfish bait.
that is my favorite the Oscar Mayer angus it has great taste and convenience I buy them on sale for 3 dollars a pack of 8 and freeze them. The Nathans was not as tasty to me i fry them in a pan.
Ranger, I think cooking method affects how they come out for sure. I think I still would give a slight edge to Nathan's in taste profile but the OM Angus size and texture might be better! I truly discovered the OM Angus accidentally, I meant to buy just regular beef bun length OM but grabbed these Angus ones and man, I was surprised how good they are. I don't know who's running OM but I think they have too many different hot dog products and maybe should focus on just making good quality ones at a good price and discontinue the crappy ones that make you want to avoid the brand all together.
@@michaelwilsonbarber yeah our bjs wholesale club had the angus beef and i got them on sale then when i went to buy more they stopped carrying the angus beef and had original so i got those i wouldn't feed those to a dog.
