"It’s okay, we'll take care of her. Just like the others"
So what Homelander basically learnt was that human beings are easily replaceable. No wonder he's so fucked up.
They tried to make him a hero but made him a villian.
Great point
Literally
@@blazejaw607yearsago9 😂😂 they never tried to make him a hero. They tried to make him a prduct, a sellable product. And if you try to do that to a human since the first memory, what do you expect?
yes he never got punished for bad behavior
"It's okay kid. We'll get this corpse you made cleaned up in a jiffy and replace her right away."
I fail to think of a worse message you can send an impressionable kid with powers.
reminds me of Joffrey in GoT
It would be like dealing with that boy Anthony in Twilight Zone’s “It’s a good life” episode.
would u dare to scold him? she wouldnt be the only one that needed replacing. and if he goes rogue on such a young age, the earth is doomed
@@Pentaclown84 literally what I was saying everyone's so quick to say how what thy said is bad and I'm not saying it isn't but they just ignore the fact that the doctors are scared shitless of him and try their best not to piss him off which anyone in their right mind would think of not doing and let's say he did feel bad for what he did at that young age he could have a panic attack and end up killing everyone in that facility.
@@Pentaclown84 he's not that powerfull at that age, can easily be neutralized
Great kid actor. The way his face in the last scene went from seemingly afraid to complete absence of emotion was super well done
Abraxus Hellsing do u know the kids name?
absence of emotion? I don't know, how about you, but I see a hell of emotion in the last face, you can see the satisfaction and joy from what he has done... corners of the mouth going slightly up, slightly squirming eyes

Everyone did.
No. Nobody. Just you, only you. You're the special one...the legend..the savior
No that's him losing all sense of humanity, him killing his "mother" is a breaking point, he hugged her so tightly he killed her, that's heartbreaking, then telling him it fine what he did, they'll get another, no wonder hes so messed up now, the taught him not to give a damn and that hes more important.
and now ryan...
That kid looks like he works with shark boy and lavagirl
His name must be Max...

Facts
It’s him he is a superhero he can’t grow old
She ruined his dream journal so in return he broke her back.
Wow he absolutely did it on purpose with his expression near the end showing sociopathic tendencies as a young child because of his environment in being isolated and experimented on.
@ThatOneOddLookingDog ThatBarksAtYou bro he’s not talking about kids in general he’s talking about homelander’s situation specifically. Idk y you think your smart for saying that lol
Years later, the boy finally met his real daddy, who rejected him, even trying to kill him.
"You're a fucking disappointment"
@@Cattaro It would’ve been perfect if Soldier Boy got to raise Homelander. Soldier boy said he wouldn’t mind his son taking the spotlight, he wanted to be a good father unlike his dad and to be better than himself, and homelander would have someone as strong as him to correct him since childhood.
@@mysticXyZ Homelander would've been just as evil as he is now had he been raised by Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy is a violent and abusive man. Same dude who routinely beat his teammates within an inch of their lives simply for disagreeing with them. Don't forget Soldier Boy also had an abusive father and statistics do show that a person is far more likely to be a violent abuser if they were raised in an abusive household. Had Homelander grown up with Soldier Boy he would've undoubtedly been repeatedly beaten, put down emotionally, and would still be neglected because Soldier Boy cared more about his fame than other people. Ergo, Homelander would've still been a sinister person.
@@controlman7490I get you’re point that soldier boy was ruthless but he could of possibly acted different with his son cause it’s his own blood. Unlike his members of his team who he saw as competition for the main spotlight. That’s why he was abusive but to his own son I don’t think he would, especially when he opens open to butcher a bit revealing his true emotions. He said that he wanted to do better than his father and even said that he always wanted kids with crimson countess. So him being abusive could only happened if he DIDN’T want that child which in the show it shows that he did wants kids
@@Limon-dk3xv Nah, I don't think so. An abusive person is an abusive person. The fact he felt comfortable harming his team members for disobeying him is proof he wouldn't treat Homelander well. He's a tyrannical person who hurts people when they don't listen to him and he would show this character to his son. Homelander does the exact same thing with Ryan. He gets extremely angry and intimidates his son when he doesn't do what he wants. Homelander would've only turned out well had he been raised in a loving family who teaches the value of compassion and peace. Soldier Boy is a man who clearly believes violence is the answer to solving most problems and that kind of mindset creates abusive parenting.
The kids acting skills are amazing he told a whole story by facial expressions

Not amazing, it's okay. Don't lie just because he's a kid.
Never lie to someone that can literally hear the changes in your heartbeat
How about just never lie
@@watcher805 Everyone lies in someway. There’s no way to escape it
@@disgustang1279 *laughs in total honesty*
He could have also killed her out of anger if she said no.
And heartbeat is a pretty poor indicator of lying.
But he killed her accidently. Or did I misunderstand it?
Nvm ig
Noticed how his eyes squinted after her response at 1:09 he was testing her.
@Infinite Warlock Even better acting skills from the kid. Adding the squint was very good~
That's exactly right. Kids are hardwired to receive love, and they learn to spot the difference between what's real and what's fake, especially if they're denied the real thing. They treated him like an experiment, and eventually he began to experiment back on them.
Yup when he asked her if she loved him I think he noticed she was lying since he can read heart rates and everything plus notice when he hugs her she just gives him a pat on the back lmao
Dang
I had to go back
Good catch
after s4 e4 this hits different ngl
This kid's got acting skills 👏
He killed her on purpose because he knew she was lying when she said she was his mom...Don't lie to homelander :P
I personally think he did it simply because HE COULD. You hear those stories about some kids who kill animals fun ( or simply because it doesn't bother them), and eventually, they move on to killing people. Homelander has no family, friends or any sense of love and belonging. He didn't kill out of anything that she did. He just did it...
@AgentAfro
Reminds me of the Shape (Michael Myers), he has no emotional attachment, he just kills people . Obviously Homelander & Michael aren’t the same, but I just wanted to make the analogy of killing without a purpose.
I think he looks for short term affection, disposes them, then finds new ones.
I dont think that was a lie since she said "I CAN be your mommy" implying to him that she isnt his real mom but she could act like one for him. She did seem to lie about loving him though and if you look closely at his eyes right after she said it, you can tell he knew that was a lie and it pissed him off so much that he snaped.
He didnt mean too, hes desperate for attachment so much he crushed her. They made him the way he is by raising like a lab rat instead of a child.
That eye movement on him gave it away. He knew she was lying.
*Homelander:* _Finally, a worthy opponent, our battle will be legendary._

@@maximesaindon3552 It could've just been genuine human empathy, seeing a kid in a situation like that might make a person want to help, and saying no I don't love you, you have no mommy, etc. feels like a harmful thing to say from the kids perspective..
Vought assures them they're safe and there's no reason to worry
It would’ve been perfect if Soldier Boy got to raise Homelander. Soldier boy said he wouldn’t mind his son taking the spotlight, he wanted to be a good father unlike his dad and to be better than himself, and homelander would have someone as strong as him to correct him since childhood.
I agree. At worst, SB would pass on some outdated morals to Homelander. I honestly think SB could’ve been a good father since he seemed like an honorable dude who wouldn’t tolerate nonsense.
@@s_solus3089 It might be a rare case of a kid changing him for the better. He would at least be an improvement from cold facility doctors and walls and even solider boy doing a little better than his father. We could have seen a more moderate Homelander, one closer to the ideal superhero but still down to earth hero they are emulating.
SB is a psychopath. Even though he has honor I think there is 0 chances he would be a good father. But it still would be better than be raised in a lab

They’re evidently trying to condition him to behave in a way they want him to. He’s all powerful and dangerous. If they give him a TV, or books, or stuff like that, they’re probably worried it’ll corrupt his mind in a way that’ll make it difficult for them to control him.

He supposedly stands for what Superman is but he was bred, told to think it was what he really thought instead of it being what he actually believes in. Truly a perfect deconstruction of what people perceive Heroism and good values to be.
Superman would still absolutely clobber Homelander, not just in a fist fight but as a human being altogether.
so no one is feeling sorry for butcher after his wife cheated on him with homelander
Yeah, but she did it for a good reason. She needed to save humanity.
@@KoolKeithProductions what ! , How so ?
@@RahmounRahmoun well this isn't confirmed, but I think Vought recruited her to have Homelander's kid. Why? Because they knew that he is increasingly becoming more power hungry and out of control, so their plan was to create a NEW Homelander. One that was raised with love and kindness, so that he can become everything Homelander isn't. He will be the savoir of mankind, because he's the only one who can kill Homelander.
Kool Keith Productions that’s a stupid take
@@lancebaize1136 oh yeah? Then come up with another reason why Vought would:
1) lie to Homelander about it
2) hide the mother
3) hide the child
It can't be too hard to raise a kid, even a superpowered one, proper and with passion and care so he doesn't become a psychopathic maniac.
It's not like the entire way they attempted to raise him in a lab was one big red flag leading to disaster...

OG
It's incredible how the scene became so dark in a few seconds.
You know this shows that there were some people who were aware that John needed to be around people in a fairly normal setting yet nothing was done about it because the head honcho ignored this piece of advice.
yeah...when you see homelander's childhood, you instantly understands why he's so fucked up.
I see why Homelander became psychotic.
The tutor lady was absolutely dispensable-or treated like she was. How many had he killed at that point and the Doctor's like "don't worry, we'll take care of them"?
Psychotic isn’t the right word. Perhaps you meant Psychopath? A psychotic person refers to psychosis, a mental condition where the user detached from reality while psychopathy is a lack of empathy and a disregard for human rights and social normals.
That what happen when corporation control you
Homelander didnt become Psychotic after ... seemingly accidentaly killing the tutor... Homelander was already Psychotic when he killed the Tutor on purpose...

Who is here after watching season 4 episode 4
They made him too powerful so everyone was always afraid of him and lied to him.
They also made him insane so that they can't control him forever. Scientists in shows and movies are very stupid just for plot reasons. Bad writing. I like most of the writing of the Boys, but they do get too lazy with it sometimes
How did anyone in Vought think this was a good idea?
