Homelander and his son, Crashlander
That made my day.
Butcher accepts this
Nice
Terrific.
fantastic
Homelander clearly studied how birds treat their young to fly.
Guess Mallory is gonna be birdwatching Ryan now
I forget what they're called, but there's some species of birds that nest on cliffs but have to get their young to the ground for some reason before they can even fly. So they just shove them out anyways.
@@calvin2 it appears you were never mean to be a bird then?😂😂😂
Except those birds catch their young when they'll see that they aren't able to fly yet. That's how they don't become extinct 😂. At least that's what the eagle does.
Clearly
This is actually Homelander's most humane moment until you realize that his feeling's for his son are only as a reflection of himself. 'Make Dad proud or else' kind of father. Absolutely amazing series.
I don’t think so, I think Homelander genuinely cares about his son.
@@mitchryan257 I think it's both, in a way. He does care about his son, but he can only think about it in terms of himself.
666th liker
@@mitchryan257
Yeah... nope
If his son is not perfect then his own DNA is not perfect and he is not a perfect father. He will not accept this. If he does see his son is imperfect, he will not reavaluate himself but instead blame the human mother.
To think all this hate for his father could've been avoided by just saying "it's ok, I'll go down and catch you if you can't fly". It's common sense too, this is why the show is so great, it shows very well how Homelander sees his son as a reflection of himself and nothing else.
Indeed but just shows that homelander doesn't know how to human
@@cryingsnowflake8817 Can he human?
@@omarretana4639 no yet maybe he learns next season thanks to Ryan
@Diego Palacios paiva which ex-wife exactly?
Not really
Home lander has a small human side that tries to hang to anything to not go berserk
His son is the closest thing he will feel to a family
“It’s okay, I’m not angry”
I love this line because it subtly shows how Homelander only ever considers himself. Obviously he isn’t angry but his son is. It’s like the only perspective that’s real and matters in his mind is his own. A true narcissist and sociopath
@Twincest IsWincest If its normal people its fine, but this is homecrashher dude.
Twincest IsWincest “do what makes you happy” vs “do what makes you happy at others’ expense” are two different messages
@Twincest IsWincest Because you should care about other people... You know, using your empathy and compassion?
I mean homelander is not that bad father as you think. He actually has x-ray and can even hear everyone's heart beat. So he always knows if his son is ok. For his son falling from such height equally to falling from not big fence. Also I bet he wasnt going to hit his wife. I think he just wanted his son to unlock his powers. Rage made this process faster
@Mr. Note u don’t know what a sociopath is huh 😂
The way he just hits the grounds, his scream cutting off, and homelander's reaction of just blowing a raspberry never fails to make me laugh
🤣🤣
He can hear the heart beat, I think.
@@truthseeker7548 He also has X-Ray vision he knows he's fine.
Blowing a raspberry? Never heard that expression
It's the shot of him spread out on the ground that cracks me up.
A important note here, notice how Home lander really doesn't care about his son, he just wants someone to be like him, for him not to be the only invincible superhuman, pushing all of his son's needs aside
Yes
That's pretty obvious... he just wants his legacy honored.
Yes but he does care about him
And he doesn’t want to be alone at the top anymore
Or maybe someone NOT like him, I think he wants Ryan to have the parent figure he lacked when he was growing up
Homelander: "Do you trust me son?"
Ryan: "Yeah...??"
*Ryan falls unconscious*
Homelander: " Rule no 1 son, never trust anyone !"
Hahaha~yes
Ah yes
I THOUGHT THAT TOO
I'd just like to point out the obvious: that kid is a wildly good actor for his age.
I haven’t thought about that, it’s true
Yeah, just realized that...
glad they recast.
They recasted exactly because of that. The other one wasn't experienced enough.
I thought that too
Poor Homelander he wants to play to be a dad but he is a child himself...
And the fact that he’s a psychotic narcissist with no sense of empathy

To be fair omni man was a solid father until the whole vultrimite thing happened
To be fair Invincible (Mark) just realized that he has powers. Homelander here is trying to tell his son he has it when clearly his son needs a little more time to develop it.
Looks like Homelander uses Bing, instead of google

@@panda_coffeeanimation1992 pfp says it all.
@@Aerial_Imaging yeah. No father, no mother, probably a psycho
2:28 I think homelander was actually furious at first, when he saw that Ryan can't fly like him but became content when Ryan pushed him because he saw he has powers like him.

That uncanny smile... Homelander is just unsettling all the time and even though I know it is just a tv show, he really frightens me. Like an Alien trying to imitate a human being. Antony Starr really got this so nailed down as an actor.
He enjoys people fearing him, and showing how quickly he will end you
hes also always(almost) doing a super pose or hero stance, even during intimate and personal moments.

@@lepork519 right. My thought though is if Homelander is this strong now but his son is capable of exceeding his ability to take an impact at this young of an age, that means by defult his son is capable of exceeding him before he reaches his dads age.
I'm not sure pushing Homelander is that difficult when he's not resisting. Like if he's not deliberately trying to remain in place then he should just be a regular human, since he's not any heavier despite his superhuman strength and durability.
