      I forget what they're called, but there's some species of birds that nest on cliffs but have to get their young to the ground for some reason before they can even fly. So they just shove them out anyways.

      If his son is not perfect then his own DNA is not perfect and he is not a perfect father. He will not accept this. If he does see his son is imperfect, he will not reavaluate himself but instead blame the human mother.

  • @MobTalon
    @MobTalon 2 года назад +4564

    To think all this hate for his father could've been avoided by just saying "it's ok, I'll go down and catch you if you can't fly". It's common sense too, this is why the show is so great, it shows very well how Homelander sees his son as a reflection of himself and nothing else.

    wouldn’t it be cool if his son turns out to be the “Superman” of this universe given the fact that he’s got a loving mother and potentially butcher if he does accept him as his son?
    (yes I saw episode 4 and Becca doesn’t go with butcher because of this but I think in time butcher will)

      Butcher would be a terrible role model for his son. The only person he needs in his life is his mother.

      I just don’t see Ryan surviving this show, him growing up to defeat his chaotic father seems a little too convenient and pleasing for this show.🤷🏼‍♂️

    Homelander is a conflicted character. He is violent and selfish but it's clear that deep down he is just a child that wants to be loved.
