Man, don't you love it when a plan comes together. That's a perfect fit to the road with those gates....Almost like it was meant to be! That big Texas bull is really pretty Dusty. You should name him "Blonde", the nick name for Clint Eastwood in "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly". I hope when you sell him you can sell him to a Bison ranch that will keep in contact with you and give us some updates on him. That big guy is really really pretty with that lighter colored shoulder shield.

I am glad you are not cutting corners. Great job in getting that fence so straight. It was meant for you to buy the 20 panels. Look how perfectly the gate lined up. It may be slow going at first, but the results will be a lifetime of well built things. Did this place come with a house? Can we see it. Even if it isn't perfect, we can see the before and then see the after, when you have it done. I am so proud of you and your wife. You are creating a place and family to be proud of. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

Natural grass? Does that mean you have to re-seed a pasture when the animals have grazed it down? Lots of work bringing that old cattle ranch up to the task of holding bison! Sounds like you've got to get you a tractor of your own. Oxen are useful. Has anyone ever tried to make bison oxen? Castrating a red dog might be quite a feat!

I literally love watching you take what you have and start to create the ranch you want and have dreamed of. That’s totally exciting to me. There’s a saying that I can’t totally remember about if every day you’re doing something you love then you’ve never had to work a day in your life. Something like that. I know that’s how I felt working ICU and the VA. Is there a home on this property Dusty? I hope so. If you feel it’s safe I’d love a little peek at it. I love DIY projects so if it’s one of those don’t worry you’ll get there. You have a wonderful wife who appreciates your dream and works beside you to achieve it. That’s special. I truly love the coats on the Texas herd but no you don’t need another male that’s a wild child. It will be cool to see a Texas female with that pretty coat come from Big Joe or Dunbar. My hubby got his back fusion surgery and is doing so well the doctor put him in a brace to slow his hyper butt down so he won’t ruin that cadaver graft before it can take. He not too crazy about that brace. We’re looking forward to a wonderful New Year for us and you guys and the new ranch home. Have you named it yet? Gonna keep Crossed Timbers Bison? You guys take care!

Old farmers use to measure out for this reason. If they created Pasture in the future there would be an exact measurement. My grandpa did the same when creating roads on his property. He put sticks with bright cloth to mark it and do not just drive all Willie nilly on the property without a purpose lol must use the "road" to wear it down and create it

As I watch your videos, and see the blank slate you have to work with on the new property, have you considered building a system like Copper Creek Ranch has for handling their Bison? I realize that a system like theirs took time and money to build but having watched you, Kevin and everyone else who helps you work the bison, I would think that a system like this would be a worthwhile investment.
