Dusty, as a retired teacher and counselor, I want to commend your teaching style! You've taught all your viewers so much about bison ranching. (I also love Mya's being at the ready with her stick, just in case)😃
So excited for you & your wife & Kevin on all your accomplishments. You don't jabber you just love What your are doing. I love to watch all your doing.
Hey there Dusty, I hope you're all well and good! A tip for reducing a great deal of spoilage when storing round bales outside is to only stack 2 rows of bales side by side in a row, then leave a minimum of 1 bales width, preferably 2, between the next 2 wide row. This allows the air and sun to circulate around the bales, drying them out, thus significantly reducing spoilage. 🐂👍🇺🇸
I know you must be really proud of your kids that are doing well in life. The Bison are looking good what a great job y'all are doing with the ranch building it's looking good.
At one point those bison looked like they were thinkin’ “are you gonna quit talkin’ and get us some grain”? Looking forward to watching all your improvements.👍🏻
Great things are happening!! So happy for you guys! You impacted a lot of young lives & you're the kind of teacher and coach they'll always remember!! 🙏💕🙏
Love to hear you talking about the plans you have going on. Glad you got one of your former students to come help you. Can't wait to see your projects being done and completed. Take care and stay safe out there. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
You can jabber all you want to because you can feel the Passion that you have for these animals and you have spread that Passion to all the people that are people on your Channel so God-bless you and your family and we all can hardly wait to meet Sam! P.S where is Popcorn?
Wow Dusty! You're really seeing your dreams for the Ponderosa coming true!! Welcome, Sam!! Thanks for all your help!! Love seeing the calves looking great and Mya, keep up the super work sweetheart!! Sooooo enjoy watching you share with us, Dusty!! Keep it up!!
It is so nice you have kept in touch with your students. I can remember my favorite teacher. Mr Bricco was my Junior High science teacher and I just loved him. Years later, I was at the public pool when my son was taking swimming lessons (he was about 5 years old). Mr Bricco was there with one of his little children explaining about the clouds in the sky. It sure brought back memories. Thank you for sharing this bit of your life with us. I don't think you jabber. You are so entertaining. It seems to come naturally. Also, I really appreciate your love and gentleness for your animals. Even Maya when she gets into mischief! It is so lovely to see you with Marissa and little Brooks. Please keep the videos coming.
I just know you still need a baby cinnamon bottle feeder from time to time which I’m still throwing my hat in the ring😂. Now I can add making coffee, do filing in the new office and be the ranch watcher too! Don’t to forget to add a designated baby cinnamon bottle feeding room in that barn - I’ll need to close a door to corral that little baby - as a Senior bison lover I don’t run😂. Just love watching your growth from day 1 - a great adventure🥰
Glad to see you using the brain and removing the hay.About 10 yrs age my cousin in mississippi had a trash fire going and the grass caught fire and spread to his barn.He lost everything he said he had about 100 rolls of hay stored for the winter. Even the barn melted it was so hot they couldn't put it out. Lucky everybody in the town pitched in and fed his horses all winter.
Exciting changes coming! You've got a great start having that barn. Can't wait to see the progress. Don't forget to take stick throwing breaks. 😁 Welcome Sam!
So excited for the Ponderosa. Improvements seem like they are coming daily. Love seeing one of your previous students come back to help you. Paying it forward.
This is an exciting step. I hope you can clear up that rash. Do yourself a favor and get and use a sinus rinse kit. I can't tell you how much a difference it makes for those allergies. Since I started using one my allergies don't bother me anymore. 🙂
Love seeing your enthusiasm about former students. Thinking you were a wonderful teacher! The plans in the works for an office are a plus. All of the records on the farm & Bison will be centralized do easier access for all of you. Looking fwd to the changes while watching the animals grow, the herd expand. Please keep us posted on Dunbar, Eleanore & Family. Have I missed anything on Lumpy? As was already said, never apologize about rambling. It's fun to watch your excitement. God Bless ❤️🙏🦬🇺🇸
Dusty I am excited about your new plans for your barn. That will nice to have an office to go to while your out there working. Eat lunch in there and Brooks can hang out there with you. You have good ideas. Glad the bison are doing okay. And you got your new Dakota Pure Bison yearlings. Happy for Marrisa and you. Miss seeing Dunbar & Eleanoer!! Happy birthday to Baby Brooks.
Love to heard about the future plans…but I miss your classroom excitement! Once you get the bison ranch going you should teach at least one class at the college level. Good teachers are born not made and Dusty you get so excited about your students passion. Continue to spark that passion for education in people!
So excited to see how and what your plans are for the barn and the new ranch. Nice to see the calves being more calm and getting used to you all. lol, looks like he has found a big stick. lol So nice to have the skidsteer. Work beast for you all. You have a lot of good hay. That is a big barn, will be fun to see how you re-design it. Looks cold there ... will you put down a concrete floor?
Morning Dusty. Waking up to a new video is a great way to start the day! Impressive plans for the office and can't wait to see the final results. Thanks for sharing your videos and adventures! Be safe and healthy plus your family and friends 👍
Smoothing the dirt in the new office area is fine, but don't make it a low spot so that even after you pour a concrete floor it's prone to flooding in big rains!
Have you thought about where you keep your hand on and your machinery to go ahead and concrete that area one it would protect your hay better and give you a dry area for really dry area to keep it plus if you have to work on your machinery it's a dry area to work on it it's not going to be Dusty in there when working on it plus dry area for your feed that way you have the dry area for all of your feed you're not going to have to worry about it getting wet just a thought I mean once you get all your welding done then you can come back in and concrete that way it's a good dry area for everything for all of your feed and your hay and all your equipment and and you're already going to be concreting in your office area. It's looking great can't wait to see everything you do out there. God bless yall.
Dusty, I agree that once you get close to your students, and keep in contact, you are proud of their success. I supervised students at the Library at Univ of Missouri-Columbia 40 plus years ago and I keep in contact with some of them still, even they have retired the same as I have.
Dusty, I lived in Garland for 8 years, and just moved back to Michigan 5 years ago…so you were teaching in Plano at that time. My former principal Boss from Liberal, KS I had just before that, was from Plano and tried to get me to teach there. Small world. I probably saw you at some time and never knew. 😂 Good luck with your dreams you have for the property and the bison. Sounds good. Looks good.
Dusty, you know what needs to be done in raising your Bison and I think a office is a great ideal. Also, you can see what a great teacher and the influence you had on your students through Sam. I love to see and hear the excitement you have with your Bison. Not everyone gets to have their dreams come true but I see God is blessing your family.
If you plan to have any electronics in the barn/office it would be better to seal the office from dust as much as possible - computers and printers will suck up dust into themselves like a vacuum cleaner!
That's a great idea with the office Dusty!! Makes a lot of sense. I wish I was young enough to help you but I'm glad you came up with solutions!! You have such common sense. You're an amazing person. You'll do great!! I'm so proud to have had the privilege to see you build something so wonderful.
wow that a lot of hay. I would have a office in my barn too. Great place for essentials thing and place in case someone get hurt with medical supplies.
Hello... Having an office will be nice and to have a former student doing the welding is awesome. I had ONE teacher that I loved, she was amazing with her students, I loved going to school to learn because of my teacher. I enjoy watching you and learned a lot from you about bison, you're a great teacher Dusty. Thank you for the video, take care and God bless you and the family..
I hope there is room in the office to set up a bed so you and your family can take a nap there as well as do your computer work. The Ponderosa is coming along! You mentioned putting up a fence along the road. Today my husband and I took a drive where I noticed people put up a wood rail fence along the road. They either stained it or painted it white. It was so pretty. I know that wood is so expensive now, but that sure would make the Ponderosa one fine place!
I think the barn is the perfect place for an office! I used to work on a horse farm and the office was right in barn. Made it so much easier. I didn't realize how big that barn is! Can't wait to see everything you have planned for it!
I had to look up Plano. So basically, it's suburban area of Dallas. Good on Sam for pursuing the trades! All those doctors and lawyers will still need plumbers and electricians and carpenters and thr rest of the trades
Great video. I'm so happy for you and your family. I pray for God to enrich and immensely bless you and your existing and new farms. May He overflow you in ways you can't contain. Can't wait to see the finished barn. It's looking beautiful already ☮️🌺💖.
I understand TOTALLY what you are saying. I myself taught children for over 10 years. They were preschool age but the impact you make is the same. My husband and I are getting up there in age. Looking for someone to cut our grass, who showed up! One of my students from preschool!! Told me he thought I was a something because I could read a book upside down!! A n d that's why he ❤️ to read to this day!!
This was about the most inspiring jabber I've heard in a long time. Can't wait to meet Sam! the changes in the barn sound exciting and worthwhile, an office is a sound idea, keeps the business end of things out in the barn {maybe}.
I am also of ur old student. This world is hard to get a good life going. Also proud of u for keeping in touch with some of ur students. Best of luck, on ur new project. God Bless you and your family
hi Dusty.. first time commenting. Had my shop catch fire last march. in rebuilding I have done something you might consider. I have installed a complete bathroom and laundry room. one other thing I have spent many years as an electrician. sometimes it was required that I unroll coils of wire. this also works on hoses. count the turns of the coil that you have undone. turn the coil around so the next coils will be just the opposite direction. now count the same number of coils as you did the first few coils. each coil will cancel the other coil and your wires or hoses will lay straight. try it. Airflow in the barn may be why the top of the center wall is open. You might want to consider hinging the metal you install so it can be opened to move air around during the summer heat.
Great, glad you are getting some help there. Yes, that barn could be developed into temporary quarters n office. You are fortunate to have found the land you wanted and have a nice barn like that one there too. And with ponds, grass. Things will start moving on the Ponderosa Ranch, TX..
Dusty your jabbering is because you are so excited. Never apologize!! Love that you kept connections with students. He going to learn so much about your Bison🙂. Mya will have someone else to play with😂
Don’t apologize for jabbering, I love hearing your passion for teaching and seeing your excitement for your ranch.
Absolutely
Dusty, as a retired teacher and counselor, I want to commend your teaching style! You've taught all your viewers so much about bison ranching. (I also love Mya's being at the ready with her stick, just in case)😃

So excited for you & your wife & Kevin on all your accomplishments. You don't jabber you just love What your are doing. I love to watch all your doing.
The Dakota babies are getting pretty each day.
Hey there Dusty, I hope you're all well and good!

Glad to see this comment, I was coming here to say he needed to add space between the round side of the bales. But your explanation is much better.

Thanks. 👍
I know you must be really proud of your kids that are doing well in life. The Bison are looking good what a great job y'all are doing with the ranch building it's looking good.
I bet Sam is going to also be excited to be around your activities with the bison
And enjoying putting welding to good use in the rural life-style
At one point those bison looked like they were thinkin’ “are you gonna quit talkin’ and get us some grain”?
Looking forward to watching all your improvements.👍🏻

Are you ever going to lay concrete in the barn like Daniel Arms did?
No apologies needed Dusty. Love it that you are taking us on this journey with you.
You can jabber all you want to because you can feel the Passion that you have for these animals and you have spread that Passion to all the people that are people on your Channel so God-bless you and your family and we all can hardly wait to meet Sam!

Your new property is so big ! Thank you for sharing all your great ideas 👍 the feeding area is so spacious and comfy for the Bison to eat.
Dusty, I agree that once you get close to your students, and keep in contact, you are proud of their success. I supervised students at the Library at Univ of Missouri-Columbia 40 plus years ago and I keep in contact with some of them still, even they have retired the same as I have.
I have no doubt that you were a great teacher and mentor, I am very excited for all your new projects. Stay safe 🦬🦬😊

Change is necessary for progress to happen. Sounds like your family thinks things through before changing things. Good luck!

You jabber all you want to, we are listening! With Mya Supervising you got it done! When do we see a "Hoss" cup in your merch line?
Love all the attention and care for all your animals you give and the wonderful things happening at the Ponderosa Bison ranch. Love your videos.
LOOKING GOOD DUSTY. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE.
Exciting things going on at the ranch, wonderful!
always loved the steam out of bisons and how well they deal with cold
Great work.
Welcome Sam.
If you plan to have any electronics in the barn/office it would be better to seal the office from dust as much as possible - computers and printers will suck up dust into themselves like a vacuum cleaner!

Dusty, thanks for showing us everything...God Bless you and your Family. Oh just order that jerky, so can't wait...
Dusty I love the idea of the office. You do in one for all of your herd. Plus time to relax and enjoy alittle bit too.
wow that a lot of hay. I would have a office in my barn too. Great place for essentials thing and place in case someone get hurt with medical supplies.
I’m a retired teacher. Thank you for your teacher attitude. Loved this video!
Love new projects! Thank you for bringing us along ! Office a good idea since your family is so hands on with the bisons!
you are a great teacher! I relly enjoy listening to you.

I had to look up Plano. So basically, it's suburban area of Dallas. Good on Sam for pursuing the trades! All those doctors and lawyers will still need plumbers and electricians and carpenters and thr rest of the trades
Need to space between rows outside, air movement keeps hay from getting moldy if it rains. Otherwise you reck your hay and get lots of mold on hay.
Great video. I'm so happy for you and your family. I pray for God to enrich and immensely bless you and your existing and new farms. May He overflow you in ways you can't contain. Can't wait to see the finished barn. It's looking beautiful already ☮️🌺💖.
Beautiful sky
LOVE WHEN YOU END THE SHOW WITH THE BISON running off to wear
Ever😊❤
Looking good! Looking good! You are a farmer! So happy for ask your progress so far 🙂 thanks for sharing the bison with the world.

Handy little machine, looks like you made short work of the inside of that barn. The Ponderosa is really coming together, love to see it Dusty!
Love your excitement with the new farm!! Thank You for sharing your journey!! 🤗♥️🙏🏼
This was about the most inspiring jabber I've heard in a long time. Can't wait to meet Sam! the changes in the barn sound exciting and worthwhile, an office is a sound idea, keeps the business end of things out in the barn {maybe}.
Dusty you don’t jabber. We want to know all about your projects. You have a great love for teaching. God bless you and your family.
Is that hay made of prairie grass or is it of grass that has been specially planted?
The view from the office will be incredible…not much getting done in there! 😂
it will be nice Dusty
Integrity ! Welcome to the country
I am also of ur old student. This world is hard to get a good life going. Also proud of u for keeping in touch with some of ur students. Best of luck, on ur new project. God Bless you and your family
Great video. God bless your family Wife and Brooks. Give that sweet baby a kiss from me. Happy birthday to her ❤.
I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
hi Dusty.. first time commenting. Had my shop catch fire last march. in rebuilding I have done something you might consider. I have installed a complete bathroom and laundry room. one other thing I have spent many years as an electrician. sometimes it was required that I unroll coils of wire. this also works on hoses. count the turns of the coil that you have undone. turn the coil around so the next coils will be just the opposite direction. now count the same number of coils as you did the first few coils. each coil will cancel the other coil and your wires or hoses will lay straight. try it.
Mya will have someone else to play with😂
Dog is proud of her stick, keeping herself busy.
You've come a long way in a few years!
