Wow! Thanks for the demo. Man, you come a long way. Was watching you 9 year retrospective last night and was very inspired by your progress. I’m just at the start of my musical. Have been a bit of challenge for me. I’m more of a visual person, but I’m always up for a challenge. Thanks again for sharing 👍🙏🙏🙏
I've been wanting to produce a song for a long time and now that I found this, I think that the song I wrote few years ago will have it's spot now. thanks!
I watched other tutorials on how to use GarageBand but I was still confused but this video helped me perfectly! Hoping to make dope beats and music soon:)
ha glad it was helpful... and don't know :P it is hard to get videos to "explode", it seems like mine are more slow and steady and pick up the pace a few months in :)
Hey there! I am a new subscriber. First, I want to thank you for all your content. You made mixing music sound so easy and intuitive. I have been making a few tracks for fun and might upload on youtube as free DMCA music (since for me it is a hobby right now). Second, I wanted to ask you if you could make a video about how to make binaureal beats. There aren’t many videos about it on youtube and I was unable to find one for garageband. That type of sound is used a lot for meditation and sleepcasts. Thanks again!! 💖
I’ve been messing with GarageBand for about a week now. I got the AKAI lpk 25 midi controller to make some of the playing easier as the phone screen can get a little clunky. I have started the master class for garage band and probably need to keep going but thought I’d ask directly. How can I make the beginning of the track rise in volume? There’s an option to fade out but I’m struggling to figure out how to make each bar and instrument to be layered.
Hey there! If you asking about fading in the volume of the entire track then you would use a tool called "automation" which I have a video on here! ruclips.net/video/A8R5o0cjbx8/видео.html
Also i had a section on auto play and began to jam out on the keys but i used glissando and sustains and the sound i recorded was different than what I was hearing.
garageband is really underrated ngl i've been making beats on it for a while and everyday i learn something new, i have uploaded two beats i made in garageband on my phone on my channel,it would mean a lot if yall checked it out and told me what yall think.
Dean, you're my go-to guy now! Can you please make a video about the BEST MIDI keyboard/beatmaker gear for GarageBand? I don't want to buy without hearing from you first! :)
ha it's an honor Cee Gee! :P I always recommend the M Audio Keystaion 49 as my go to MIDI controller as it automatically syncs with GB (just plug it in!), it's affordable (about $100 new, cheaper used), has room to spread out if you're a piano player like me who needs to use two hands at times, and has everything I need to produce instrument and drum parts (the basic version doesn't have drum pads but I NEVER use drum pads, I always use the keys on the keyboard, I feel like I have a lot more control that way, but some people want drum pads so if you're looking for drum pads then you might look at the Akai models)... hope that helps! -Dean
I'm a hands on person, what you showed is what I've been really needing. Thank you. All I really wanna do is show what I'm capable of. Quantization is the key it seems. Again thank you.
I want to be friends with this man 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. You just changed my impression with this application. Been watching your videos lately and learning a lot man. Thankful to find this amazing channel 👊🏼. Still learning to make music here.
Depends on what you want the rhythm to be like for example: Quarter Notes (1 beat each): Great for a strong, straightforward rhythm. Example: 1, 2, 3, 4. 2. Eighth Notes (½ beat each): Adds more movement. Example: 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and. 3. Sixteenth Notes (¼ beat each): Creates a faster, more dynamic feel. Example: 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a.
Dude this is exactly the type of tutorial I needed. I APPRECIATE YOU!!!
