micah: pointing gun at arthur*
arthur: spits in his face and start’s laughing
micah: what’s so funny
arthur: nothing blacklung
I wish this was a secret ending like if you had max honour during the end Micah would try to kill Arthur by punching him mirroring the way Arthur beat up Thomas downes only for Arthur to cough on him
@@nobody-yk2hu It would be not max but the lowest honor
This would actually be so cool woah
You say that like Micah wouldn't _immediately_ think Arthur was only laughing because he just spat in Micah's face. That's a sign of disrespect regardless if he's sick
@@nobody-yk2huno that’s real low honor
From what I recall TB can stay dormant for years, I believe only reason it really started acting up for Arthur was due to the gun shot and minor infection Arthur got in chapter 3 and the moment at sea and being out in the heat in Guarma
Tbh I think so too, being an outlaw and wielding in the wild is bound to give you a stronger immune system, but it only really gets Arthur after chapter 5, it was too much stress on him in a short amount of time
It believed tb killed abigail marston to
@@Grenade825was it? I don't remember there being a stated cause of death for Abigail.
@@Grenade825Abigail most likely died to stress and depression
John is canonically broke in the story so Abigail and Jack would’ve had to work hard to maintain the ranch This stress and having to mourn John and Uncle could’ve caused her to die early
There is no stated reason why she died so early though
Humidity is a huge issue with TB, like you pointed out being at sea & on Guarma likely aggravated his symptoms significantly.

If Micah got TB, we wouldn't have the final Epilogue mission
And they wouldn't have found John
and john would still be alive
Why wouldn't we? You saw how long it took arthur to die. Ultimately, it doesn't matter if he was infected or not
Of micha was infected he could have just layed low so it wouldn’t get worse
@@ccompson2the whole story before the episode is like 1 year it got him weak pretty quick the epilogue is like 8 years later Micah would def be dead
Actually, it's probably better Arthur didn't give Micah tuberculosis. I could see Micah being the kind of guy that would try to infect as many people as possible before passing. He would be thinking "I gotta suffer so everybody needs to suffer!"
That's a very good point. Micah actively goes around being malicious and pretty much causing as much suffering as he can to as many people as he can and is naturally rather spiteful, and that's without him having a deadly, contagious illness. Micah Bell would likely try going to a big city like St. Denis to try to maximize his death toll, he might even take it as a challenge. Not only that, but unlike Arthur he wouldn't just die alone in some remote place, chances are once Micah gets really ill and has more difficulty spreading the tuberculosis he probably would go on one last big shooting spree like in Strawberry and try to kill as many people as he can before going out in a hail of bullets by lawmen or something.
@@JediMasterZimMicah is an infectious disease in the flesh already
@@JediMasterZim but he's a coward
They didn't really know how to spread TB back then
I'm surprised the whole gang didn't catch it.
Agreed and the gang should've been wearing their masks & bandannas to stop the spread of TB.
Seriously, all those spoons shared an close contact they'd all be sick as hell
Omfggggg I thought I was the only one to think this 😭😭😭
It's possible once they realized Arthur had TB, they gave him his own plates, utensils, and cups. Granted I'm surprised none of them told him to keep his distance if he gets too close to them.
They all did probably, a TB infection is asymptomatic in most cases
Arthur got active TB after the mission "Blessed are the peacemakers".
Coughing on micah would be the ultimate low honor ending... like the lowest low
"Hello scarface. B-cough cough cough"
That would be ultimate high honor tfym
I think that it would be a perfect neutral honour ending tbh as it had that evil of coughing on him but also having the intention of saving everyone else from Micah. Like a last ditch effort to protect those he cares about.
They didn’t have clear knowledge on how specific diseases spread back then. All they knew is if they were around the sick you risked getting sick yourself. But this would still be a sick ending!
spreading tb is too low of a deed for Arthur no matter his honor
Micah, being an O'driscal, is a stretch. However. The idea that he somehow got anonymous information to Colm in order to plan these things to go his way is a Micah thing to do. Wouldn't be too hard for him to get drunk with someone who would get the information to Colm.
I don't think He was working for O'Driscal at all. I think He was with the Feds the from the beginning (after blackwater) . And was using third partys to fulfil his objectives. Or he was just a Dutch fanboy and just wanted to get rid of Arthur and become Dutch's right hand man. Every mission Arthur has with him ends up being a ambush somehow. Like the Stagecoach job . Or when the O'driscals conveniently knew where Arthur was and kidnapped him . And I also think that the Grays ambush was a set up to kill Arthur .
@@kazikhalid6197
I always like the theory that he had Joe or cleet infiltrate O'Driscolls; so he could play both sides.
I figure if he was an odriscoll he was a partner and working to take down the gang, but if that were true colm would have just attacked their first camp in mass and gotten it over with
I don't really understand this theory, especially since Micahs scarf is blue, like am I color blind??
@@floofydeergirl I wouldve pointed out that they O'Driscals wear black trench coats like Micah does, before the green color scheme
Arthur didn’t spit in Micah’s face, because he didn’t want anyone to experience the hell he has gone true, not even Micah
Because that is definitely in character for Arthur.
Agreed. Arthur may have hated Micah, but I too don't believe that Arthur would want to see even someone like Micah catch such a debilitating disease.
@dbdvdvbhddbdbb Arthur ain't the kinda guy to he like "ik you're a terrible human being but no TB for you". Just the highest honor Arthur maaaaaybe.
I'm fairly certain he would. This is Arthur we're talking about. Someone like Micah? Yeah, he would give a fuck if he makes the man sick.
Still should’ve been optional like low honor or something since most of the game can be like that only you chose what you want Arthur to be
Just a thought. what if Micah was a former O'Driscoll. The man is a viper, He will snap/shoot/Strangle anyone from behind if it means he gets a fatter wallet or removes an opponent. Hear me out. He isn't happy with the way Dutch keeps hangers on and the voices of Arthur and Hosiah preaching temperance and calmer solutions. He offers to help Colm get rid of Arthur as a peace offering, removing Arthur from dutch's ear and some of the protection for the weaker members and possible having an in with Colm and his gang if Dutch doesn't pan out.
He woulda been outed on multiple occasions if so
He coughed right in the fucker’s face when they were fighting so the only reason Micah didn’t get sick was plot armor.
Or also he may have had it in its latent form and he just wasn’t showing signs yet/got killed by John before it showed symptoms. People could live a decade or so with TB like Abagail did(you could make a case that Arthur gave it to Abagail). Micah lived a hard life but maybe he didn’t get himself into the situations Arthur did which exasperated the tb.
@@dbdvdvbhddbdbb And his capture by Colm O'Driscoll. The man spent the whole game fighting, running, which is *exactly* what the doctor told him not to do.
My theory is that Micah was going for Dutch's bounty of his own volition, and joined the gang for this very reason.
Atleast until he fell in too far deep with the Van Der Linde Gang.
The Blackwater Massacre and the subsequent events of the game meant he was stuck with the gang. His own actions like the shootout in strawberry meant his only way out was on the end of a rope.
He probably knew the gang was already going to fall apart one way or another with the expansion of civilization. So he influences Dutch to make moves that draw more heat onto him and the rest of the gang, making his escape when the time was right. Diverting attention from himself. This is might have been where Micah saw a deal from the Pinkertons as an opportunity.
Imagine you were controlling Micah and Arthur coughs on you and then you get the slow motion death scene with that dramatic song lol
the story’s good as is; Micah dying so early would’ve made the epilogue boring.
Why does that remind me of Arkham Knight? Where you play as the Joker in Batmans mind before Batman locks him out forever

Im glad the content is good. Hopefully it makes the food taste better
During the fight with Micah I thought Arthur should've spit blood into Micah's mouth just like Thomas did
I like the thought of maybe Arthur was misdiagnosed with TB and was actually sick from an infection when he patched his own gunshot wound but idk
TB is caused by a bacterial infection that targets your lung. An infection that causes bloody coughing is probably TB.
I don't think I'll ever stop thinking about the endless possibilities of how different things could've turned out. I think because the Red Dead Redemption series is so tragic, we love to think of how different things could've been.
4:18 i think he wasnt with the o'driscolls early game. Earlier on he was alongside dutch seeing how he could use the gang or find cracks in the armour to eventually turn dutch in or somehow get the black water money and run.
He had a wanted dutch poster at his camp, he probably had his eyes on dutch for a long time, micah wanted to turn dutch in for the bounty. Micah at the end of the game was so inraged " COME ON DUTCH ... RRRAGH " He finally broke the gang and he could take dutch in, but dutch saw he was the rat and walked off. Thats why micah was so enraged everything worked out but again... his biggest threat ruined it and thats why arthur said he won.
By the end of the epilogue, micah was going to turn dutch in but acted like he wanted to be buddy buddy, why did micah need dutch, he had a big gang and said he gathered most of the black water money. But dutch knew micah was going to turn him in and thats why he said to john that hes here for the same reason as him and shot micah.
Back to early game, he " saved his life " because he wanted to bring dutch in himself insted of allowing anyone else to take the cash, all micah cares for is suriving and cash, all game he begged to get the black water money. So yes micah killed off the threats to dutch he wanted him for himself.
Some of the gang could have been in the same town when dutch was going to be killed. Dutch is not usually traveling or out alone, they probably regrouped not long after the incidinet which probably halted micah from bringing him in, so insted of being hostile he ended up befriending the gang.
Little did he know how strong and big his gang was so micah could not turn dutch in easily. But in the mean time he used them for as long as he could.
Over time he learned arthur was the biggest threat, micah end game couldnt even kill him when he was dying... hes that weak. Micah knew he couldnt turn ditch in or make the gang fall apart with arthur and even hosea around.
THAT... is when micah had the idea of working with the o'dricsolls to eliminate the biggest threat to him and also get dutch emotional to control him. How else did colm know with that meet up he had a 100% chance to capture arthur in the moment?... it makes no sense unless someone set it up and who else would have set it up?
Now I thought Michael was allied with either the pinkerton's or was an independent bounty hunter reasons for citing this that bounty scrap he carries and his white hat signaling to other agents that he's in deep cover.
Micah
I’m actually surprised Micah or anyone else in Arthur’s proximity managed NOT to contract TB. Especially Micah who by the end of the game is in an all out fist fight with him.
It's not that contagious
@@iamwhoiam7887well, it is pretty contagious, but it stays dormant for a long time in most cases. Some folks have latent tb for their entire lives, and die of completely different causes.
@@iamwhoiam7887 if you expose to someone who got TB there's a chance that you get away with it but if you are exposed to it for a few days, breathing the same air, sitting and living in the same environment you will probably get it eventually.
Let’s go new video just when I need it
15:32 TB?
Well i was at the beach the other day and the air actually helped me cough less. Almost not at all. So no i dont think its tb🤔
Here is something interesting about the final mission after arthur got Abigail and jack. He could've easily just left the gang behind. But he made one last attempt in saving Dutch and the gang. Which means he might have had hope that he coyld save everyone.
I think the issue with beaver hollow is...The only dry climates are filled with pinkertons such as up in Lemoyne. They can't go to New Austin because of blackwater being in the way, and beaver hollow is a good and secluded place and one of the only places they can find. I don't think dutch had a choice there.
I remember my very 1st playthrough, I asked myself why Arthur didn't cough on Micah.
True. Guarma would be very humid, especially the cave in beaver hollow plus the cave in guarma. This may have well could’ve worsened it
I get so excited when these drop! Thanks for working through a cough. Hope it subsides soon friend
Working? Not at all. Love making these and nerding out. Its the furthest thing from work. I just hope it wasn’t noticeable or tolerable distracting.
I meant “pushing” through, apologies

this guy just makes the weirdest content, and im here for it
Yes he definitely did in the last scene if you help John to safety option and the fight with Micah on the mountain.
I enjoy the videos you make
Thank you❤
It’s honestly incredible that none of the other gang members ended up getting TB, especially ones that were fairly consistently around Arthur like John, Sadie, Lenny, and Charles. I suppose since they were always outside that you could say that the germs weren’t able to properly make their way to others, but Arthur has also had some pretty close contact with a lot of them, so I really don’t see how no one else got it.
Lenny died before Arthur started showing symptoms anyways, he wouldn't have lived long enough to get active TB. And it's entirely possible Sadie or Charles or John could have gotten it, but it just stayed dormant and never activated. Arthur was never in any "real" close contact with anyone, not even Mary. Had Arthur kissed somebody and got his spit in their mouth, they probably would have gotten it and even then, no guarantees.
Also Abigail most likely died from an illness, and it's not canon but it's my own headcanon Arthur infected her in 1899 and the death of Uncle and John and running the farm gave it to her and killed her in 1914
It isn't highly contagious.
*spoiler*
Abigail died mysteriously in 1914... just saying it could have later dormant.
I came up with the same conclusion. I believe the idea for maker would be to get rid of Arthur and Jan Marsden are through would be the first guy maker would want to get rid of because he is so much closer to Dutch than anyone else when Dutch sent her through to free maker out of strawberry I believe in Michael was setting up a deal with the old Driscolls and what better way to cover up with all Driscoll to shoot one of them for any suspicion then when they’re Driscolls gang ended that’s when Micah started working with the Pinkertons
Guys, TB can spread without coughing. They both had fought physically and it can be transferred through speaking just normally. My first thought was the fact that most of the people who were close enough to Arthur when it was becoming active could’ve very much been affected all it takes is the air, not just specifically coughing. Micah and Dutch could very much likely have TB along with John. But Rockstar didn’t think of it fully, it’s just plot armor really.
I think you should look into other games. Mafia has a fantastic story and a great protagonist.
Now as for the topic at hand, I don't think Arthur tried to give him TB, I just don't think he cared if he caught it
Ohhhhh i am trust me. Im just not fully done with RDR. Ghost of Tsushima has a few videos coming out, a few more Arkham ones. And funny enough i JUST finished Mafia remake. I love the stories of the mafia games but i wanted to beat each one at least one more time before i started cranking videos on them. But they will be talked about soon!
you can live for decades with tuberculosis
I've always thought that micah was maybe hired by the pinkertons to end the ganga but it didn't seem very realistic with the amount of lawmen he killed. I think the theory that he's an O'Driscoll is a lot more realistic
if only he did i always said he shoulda just coughed on micah
Yes he missed a golden opportunity on the mountain.
I don’t think they realized at that point that it was spread with bacteria from coughing
@@dylanolson6077 arthur knew, he said he got it beating a man for a few dollars
which means he knew he got it from the coughing guy
@@dylanolson6077They did know. They aren’t stupid. This isn’t medieval era.
That would’ve been revenge on Micah and Arthur was always against revenge
Maybe not a current o’driscoll but maybe he used to be and he left in good terms with colm. It’s makes sense how he’s always getting leads by drinking with the o’driscolls
Micah is definitely not an O'Driscoll. His handkerchief is blue, not green, and Micah didn't want to fight the O'Driscolls because he wanted to get rid of Arthur, a persistent annoyance in his side to earning less money. As to why he wasn't fighting in Shady Belle, why wasn't Lenny bill or Javier? They just didn't have a role in that mission.
Remember when Arthur rescued Micah from that jail cell? That was the biggest mistake of his life
In camp i walk up to micah and smoke so arthur would cough on him
I don’t think so, because then, John wouldn’t be a rodent exterminator.
"Said he needed some help *spit* with vermin"
“I got a little bit of a cough” says that as he talks about Arthur’s tb😭
15:35 HES CONTRACTING TUBERCULOSIS
If Arthur gave Micah tuberculosis and he died after he killed Arthur it would’ve been like killing someone with a frag after you die in cod 😂
14:08 exactly what I said. Guarma definitely must’ve boosted Arthur’s TB
I think micah was ratting to the o’Driscals before ratting to the pinkertons cause we see a lot less appearances of o’Driscals after guarma
Micah on the mountain: hello Scarface
John: hello black lung
Doesn't replaying the mission in which Arthur breaks Micah out of the Strawberry jail sort of cause you to suspect that he killed the member of the O'Driscoll gang (who seemed to have no qualms about following right behind him) to keep him from talking?
I def don’t think Micah a Odriscolls. I don’t think he way ratting from the beginning but I def think he thought about turning Dutch in once shit started declining. But it wouldn’t surprise me if he was Trying to get Arthur merced
I think Arthur still technically got his revenge on Micah, since his last mission before his death was to help John and his family survive. And since John later killed Micah for what he did to Arthur, Arthur ultimately still won
That’s crazy how I was thinking about this last night what if Arthur tried to infect Micah
Is it just me more Micah deadass reminds of of Krauser from RE4. Idk if I spelled his name right or not but the whole scene with him trynna stab Arthur looks similar to the RE4 scene with the knife fight at the end when he does the same thing but that might be an animation they always use
Nah Micah isn’t loyal to anyone or anything, he’ll make deals with whoever
Ngl I’ve always thought about how Arthur spat on Micah, and how NO ONE even mentioned that Arthur did it on purpose, just that “oh Micah got lucky” yea but did Arthur mean to infect him???
Wait so am I misremembering that one of the honor fights with Micah would have him spit on Micah? Damn :(
He was showing signs of tb well before guarma
Arthur with tb almost killed Micah in the end, if he didn't have tb, it would be like killing a rat
Any cutscene you see with Arthur and Micah fighting with words or physical actions he never coughs directly at Micah's face always does it in a way not directly in his direction and it's interesting because even as a low honor Arthur he won't cough on him directly Arthur wouldn't do that
is it possible that Micah was an O'Driscoll or an ex-O'Driscoll? what do you guys think?
Not at all a stretch, to be honest a lot of blood was spread around when they fought . I have thought about Micah getting infected. I have also thought that the turning point in Arthur’s sickness was that boat going down. All that water, then the continued stress. A shame Doc Holliday lived 14 years with TB and he lived a hard night life. Drinking and gambling.
Did anyone else notice that while everyone else is dressed in black during the bank robbery in Saint Denis - Micah is wearing white
At their fight at the end Micah is face to face with Arthur and when he coughs he does it to the side not at Micah’s face. Arthur wouldn’t want anyone to have on what he’s dealing with
it's possible, mainly due to arthur biting micah during the high honor return for the money scene.
In my humble opinion, Arthur’s revenge was getting John, Abigail, Jack, Mary-Beth, Sadie, Charles and Tilly out of the gang. He was Loyal to the gang members who didn’t get fully brainwashed by Dutch. Even though John, Arthur and arguably Sadie were under the heavy influence of the Dutch from C1-3, they saw how Dutch went bat shit insane. Their values stuck with them and they didn’t evolve to what Dutch turned into.
Micah is part of the Pinkerton agency
Micha aint no odriscol, hes a rat, albeit there aint much of a difference. In my opinion, he had some deal cooking with the Pinkertons that they would clean his slate if he brought them Dutch. Hell, the Pinkertons made the same deal to Arthur when he was fishing with Jack and later when Edger Ross was a federal agent he would go on to make the same deal with John Marston in the first game, offering a clean slate in exchange for Javier, Williamson and Dutch. A deal they never intended on keeping.
Do a video about Rain Falls!!
Honestly it seems like both Arthur and Hosea caught it in Colter, with the preacher farmer maybe introducing another strain to catalyze the viral infection. Plus getting swimmers lung on Guarma probably didn’t help either.
I figured that Arthur, knowing how much suffering he endured, wouldn't desire such a fate upon his worst enemy, too. He tried to be a better person, for better or worse. Also, about the Arthur giving Micah tuberculosis and how it woud effect him, Micah did appear to have aged considerably in 8 years, even more than Dutch, likely due to the stress of leading a gang with a high price on his head. Judging by Micah's actions, he appeared to have become even more unhinged as time went by, so if he contracted tuberculosis through Arthur, I think his body would've shown. Sure, he still appeared to be level-headed ironically whilst confronting John which contradicts my point, but at the same time, he laughs after being mortally shot by Dutch, hinting that his state of mind has diminshed as well, because for Micah, surviving is all that matters. I'd like to think that, perhaps Micah in his own messed-up way, was too affected by Dutch's decline which resulted in him also becoming more erratic, similar to Bill, Javier and possibly Arthur if his honor is low. Additionally, I don't think Micah's an O'Driscoll, too. He certainly had his eye on Dutch for a while. As for Miicah being eager for the meeting, I don't think he had intentions of screwing Arthur over back then. I think he recognized that Colm is not the type of enemy to go away, even moreso than the government backed fronts against them (Cornwall, the Pinkertons, the overall law forces) and says so himself. He's not stupid. He knows that the gang is leaving too many loose ends and are making enemies very rapidly. A crime boss who'd likely see them dead as long as he's got the power to will it so and is free would be their biggest obstacle, and if Colm wasn't arrested, he would've proven so. Dutch could've escaped Cornwall and the Pinkertons, but Colm would never let Dutch go. As for the Beaver Hollow/Dutch purposely getting Arthur sick, i don't know. I don't think Dutch wanted him dead by that point. He still does enlist Arthur's help, and even has him personally in on the Indian war, showing that to an extent, Dutch still trusted Arthur, that is untli he saw that Arthur was no longer useful and that he started to question him more often.
I think if Micah was involved with the summit ruse, Colm would have taunted Arthur about it when he was strung up
well no because back then people weren't aware of the concept of spreading illnesses from close contact
I wonder how it could have went if Hosea wouldn’t have died. Micah wouldn’t have been able to squeeze in his place. Did Micah sell out the bank robbery and tell the Pinkertons to kill hoses so Micah could take over. 🧐
i thought it was obvious arthur said he could move to california as a joke lmao that's why he said "no" afterwards
Everybody in the camp should have gotten TB some more than others. Especially around and after chapter 4.
It wasn't gwarma that ruined Aurthers hearth, it was his kidnapping at the hands of the o'driscol. He was shot beaten dragged and starved, oh and damn near given septic via said bullet wounds.
It's after that point that Aurthers health begins to decline, that's when his tb because terminal and his fate was sealed, gwarma just accelerated it even further

Micah is a cool guy change my mind
So, by 1882, humans finally figured out TB was contagious. If arthur wanted to give him TB, he couldve easily waited till he was asleep in camp and spit in his face, or snoring mouth at least or spit into his non alcoholic canteen. I like your videos but this is a bit of a reach and I've played to much RDR2.
My theory on Micah’s true allegiance is truly to himself.
See I think that what Micah’s goal is/was, was to join/infiltrate a gang, make as much money and noise as possible and then sic the law onto them. I reckon that was his original plan with Dutch, but halfway through he realised just how much money he could make with Dutch and how he and Dutch could be gang leaders side by side robbing, murdering and making a whole lotta money.
I don't necessarily agree with the second theory only because Dutch did save Arthur from the river. However, I'm not certain of why because he turned on him just as quick.
I doubt it. Arthur may have hated Micah with all of his being, but I don't think he intentionally tried to infect Micah, though it's amazing Arthur didn't infect anyone with it, given how contagious the disease is, and his being in close contact with others, like Mary for example.

@Mellik47 indeed. But it would remove a threat. As Arthur's loyalty to the gang is all that matters, loyalty means everything to the gang. To Arthur it would be a means of removing a threat.
