I think you forgot to include the example of Krayt driving his fingers into Abeloth's stomach, something similar to Plagueis' punching through a Maladian assassin. In spite of her futile attempt to Force blast him off, and despite the two of them and Luke rolling across the Lake of Apparitions' surface, Krayt didn't even let go. Well, I'm an admitted Bane fan...but your final argument was pretty convincing. I do think that by all rights, Bane is a more naturally gifted master of the Force as Krayt had to literally die in order to attain his trump card. I also do still consider Bane to be the better duelist. But Krayt is also a master martial artist, has greater combined years of experience and the dark transfer ability is impossible to ignore and definitely could change the game completely. Overall, while Bane represents the true way of the Sith in my book, Krayt is definitely fair competition and I could see this going either way.
kallen kivela After this I kind of want to see Krayt vs Exar Kun. Both are highly radical masters of Niman, with Krayt using more "restrained" radicalism backed by some level of conventional fighting, while Kun jumps off the deep end and goes 100% towards radicalism and shock value.
kallen kivela I would certainly agree that Bane, Kun and Krayt form the three most powerful Sith Lords in Galactic history behind Darth Sidious. Though with Bane losing out to Krayt here (albeit by the absolute skin of Krayt's teeth), I think I'd favor Krayt for that one. One I'm still rather interested in is Kyle Katarn vs Darth Revan, as they are the only two Jedi that aren't Skywalkers that are capable of using the Light and Dark Side to high levels of power.

Being the fact it's taking two exceptionally powerful Sith Lords who each founded their own orders and were the most the most powerful Sith of their each age. In a way, it's like comparing old works of art and newer works of art to see which is superior. Truly an impressive examination.

Darth Krayt can also bring himself back to life, effectively being the only sith to obtain true immortality so even if Bane could beat him it wouldn't have been for long (only reason he died in Legacy was because they threw him into a sun, their was nothing to bring back to life). Kind of hard to kill someone who can keep getting back up presumably stronger each time. Coming back as a force ghost is not true immortality. Your body still died. Physically raising your self completely healed from the dead is true immortality.
This is an interesting duel they’re both quite evenly matched but I think you were right as far as Darth Krayt’s experience and other unorthodox force abilities.

"Krayt is a fucking beast"-Jensarrai1. This is the only council versus match with Darth Krayt in it, this quotation needs to be said. Also Darth Krayt vs Jaina Solo Fel or Darth Krayt vs Exar Kun (I think Krayt wins off of Force abilities, but I am always go back in forth between how Krayt can deal with Advanced Trakata tactics and logistics of dual blades vs archaic saber-staff).

Alright, I am a massive supporter of Darth Bane, and have a hard time imagining him losing to anyone. That being said, the shatterpoint ability does make their battle very one sided in terms of outcome. I love your videos and appreciate the point of doing fair and accurate comparisons as opposed to letting your opinion lead you to a path of "I say so, so it has to be true." Keep up the good work, and i look forward to seeing what you offer in the future.

Some of you are saying that Bane is a better duelist, and that could potentially be true but Krayt is on the same tier of dueling skill with TWO sabers, being powerful enough with two sabers to kill Bane in a flat out fight.

Most excellent explanation! I concur and understand most all of it. There are two unspoken for contributes that play a vital role in the outcome. References beyond count state that environmental advantages have a say in how their battle will play out and who utilizes them usually has the upper hand. The other contribution is that evil empowers evil doing, such as good empowers good doing. Any bond that would be considered a wild card for someone friend or foe who stands behind Bane or Krayt in their paths could ultimately help in a final result. I still agree with a one on one battle stage where no interruptions were possible the outcome would be Krayt but no one can account for an ever changing environment or hidden ambitions.
Last thing, you said Bane's physical advantage would not play a deciding role, though I do disagree in a sense. If Krayt DID manage to hit him with either one of his lightsabers, I doubt Bane would drop dead instantly, as he is just far too tough to let pain get the better of him, or even kill him for that matter. Krayt would have to land at least 3 hits on him to kill him, and you even stated that Bane was stronger and more agile than Krayt, which would definitely play some kind of decisive factor against him. But again, Krayt's Dark Transfer might enable him to win. So, in the end, good comparison!
Great video but I was wondering about Banes saber the curved hilt made him change the way he held the saber and made the angles of his attack change by a fraction making it difficult for opponents not familiar with the subtle changes it creates. That doesn't really change anything I agree with your theories its just something worth mentioning. Thanks for the video.
I honestly don't know why people don't like emperor krayt is it because he abolished the rule of two if so it's not like bane actually followed his own rule. Also bane was wrong about the rule of two. He said the sith would turn on each other which they never did instead when krayt died they followed Darth nihl to the unknown regions I kind of wish they make a story about that
Krayt was powerful enough to command the respect of the Sith. However, as we saw when he was betrayed by Wyrlock, his Order had the same fatal flaw that caused Bane to create the Rule of Two-- if the leading Sith is left vulnerable, even for a moment, a less worthy Sith can take the title of Dark Lord of the Sith from him.
That's what I'm saying because there are questions that need to be answered did the one sith turn on each other? What happened to the rebel alliance? Was cade the last skywalker?

Darth Bane would probably win if he were wearing his orbalisk armor, but assuming he was not, Darth Krayt just has too much experience and tricks up his sleeve. After all, Bane was technically one of the Sith he learned from, plus all of his various other training.
Bane didn't teach him, Bane considered him a heretic (as did Anddeadu and Nhilus which is ironic since Anddeadu didn't think much of Bane when Bane used his holocron to learn essence transfer)
Awesome vid Evan! Here's an interesting suggestion: Mother Talzin vs (any powerful Sith sorcerer) perhaps Naga Sadow? Sure, Talzin isn't or a Jedi or a Sith, but she is a force user (though not naturally), and very skilled in sorcery. Just something to consider.
Actually, Bane got around his weakness against dual blades. During the battle on Tython he was able defend himself from three different Jedi, one of whom had dual blades. Each jedi attacked Bane from different angles to, knowing where his weak point was, and he still kept his guard up.
He did fair well against the Jedi I'm not arguing that. However, as I said in the Video he was equipped with his Obelisk Armor at the time and was able to just take the lightsaber blows dealt to him. Also being able to deal with a weakness is not quit the same overcoming one. Also lets remember that known of the Jedi on Tython were as strong in the force as Krayt.
EvanNova95 While the orbalisks provided him advantages of surviving any blow they landed, he also put his guard up once he was fighting three Jedi. The only reason the Raskta was able to land a few blows on him was because he allowed her to waste her energy on something she couldn't penetrate. I do think that after his fight with Kas'im he would have researched how to counter dual blade styles so he did not encounter that problem again.
There is no evidence for that claim. He had his orbalisk armor deflect Raskt'as blows, and she was effectively the only person that could fight him as Farfalla's only job was to protect her from getting killed by amped Bane's force abilities. Bane never got over his weakness against Jar kai, he simply had armor to protect him. Had he ever faced an opponent like Kun or Krayt, he would lose.
Rustysharkfin I agree with you without that orbalisk armor bane would have lose to the jedi on Tython Darth Krayt could have easily beat him without that armor.

Darth Krayt may taste victory now, but what about piting him against either of the last sith lords of the Rule of Two? Darth's Sidious and Vader. That would be awesome.
Doubt he would be able to defeat Vader as easily as you seem to think. I severely doubt Krayt could ever come close to besting Sidious in a duel, let alone in the Force.
Vader was easily the greatest Jedi killer in existence, even exceeding the kills of the Sith Triumvirate single handedly. His lightsaber style and command of the Force brough him to various victories against a variety of foes, arguably on a higher level than even Darth Krayt before his timely death. Krayt was felled by Cade Skywalker, though admittedly powerful, was far from the expertise of several of Vader's kills, namely The Dark Woman, Roan Shryne, Bol Chatak, and many other seasoned Jedi masters and knights, all of whom lived in an era of war. Also according to Jensaarai, Vader may even be able to defeat both Grand master Yoda and Darth Malgus, I for one, agree with him. As for Sidious, as stated by EvanNova95 in his Sidious vs Vitiate video, 'only six Jedi ever faced Sidious, only three of them lasted longer than a minute, only two of the them came out of the fight with their lives, and only one of them was able to best him." The last part being in reference to Jedi Grand master Luke Skywalker. That's why :)

OK what does being a grandmaster have to do with anything. That doesn't mean she is stronger then dooku. And the only. Time dooku actually retreated was when he had the death star plans. I never said she retreated I said she was saved twice two different things if her master haven't saved she would've died and again if the republic soldier didn't save her she would've died. Dooku was equal with Mace windu and Yoda when it came to lightsaber and force abilities.

ONLY problem with that is that it's hard to put somebody against sidious since he's portrayed as such a powerhouse in the force. Physically there are those that can stand toe to toe with em. Quite a few to be exact.

Leia was never anywhere near as accomplished of a Jedi as her brother, or any of her children, or her nephew. I don't know how this idea for a match up has 5 likes. It's already decided: Meetra Surik would easily win.
Darth Vader Whoops. For whatever reason, I wasn't considering later, LATER Leia, around the time of Caedus and all that. I definitely think it would be closer than what I was originally thinking, but I still think Meetra Surik's superior. The most notable characters Leia defeated were Alema Rar, Beldorion, and Tahirir Veila. Meetra Surik faced the Sith Triumvirate, was almost as powerful as Revan, had far more combat experience than Leia, and had a much broader knowledge of the Force than Leia. "Leia>Meetra. Until you bring feats it will be just your opinion." - This statement is wonderfully hypocritical. While I don't think there are FEATS that put Meetra Surik above Leia, there are conversely no feats putting Leia above Meetra.
Darth Vader I could see that a being a good fight. With Meetra only being conquerable by Darth Scourge and Leia having the same force potential as Luke. Meetra has far more combat experience than Leia, but with Leia's high force sensitivity (and the big adrenaline rush the fight would provide) I could see her coming to excide Kreia and Nihilus in a real life combat situation. It could wind up a close match but in the end I think Meetra would still win, if only barely, then the exile would absorb whatever power she could from Leia.
I think Krayt's enhanced speed and physical augmentation would play a role in this. Enhancing his speed and unpredictability against Bane and, in turn, making him a stronger duelist. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos, and I'd like to see Malak in one of them. Subscribed.
Hey Evan Nova, I have an interesting idea for your versus series. Instead of only do light saber duellists vs light saber duellists, do a shooter vs shooter. For example, have Jango Fett vs Boba Fett, father vs son deal. Or take a clone/bounty hunter such as Commander Cody vs Bossk or IG-88. Or have a Jedi/Sith with a shooter, like your group versus, that would be awesome. Well you get the idea. I think this idea would be very interesting and a good change of pace and well I'm just curious on who would win in a shootout.

If Skywalker did not interrupt the duel, I can guarantee you that Mace Windu would have won the fight
Windu acknowledged in the book that Sidious had no appreciable limits. Mace had his vapaad martial art to fight him. Had the fight been on even ground, or had the dark lord not put himself in a compromising position to set the scene for Skywalker, their fight would have lasted forever. Sidious took a dive.
ryanbelcher25rb Malak was empowered by the Star Forge and amped over and over hes normal limits, but he lost against Revan. Take the Star Forge and he is..... well I can't describe how featless.
@@leecason9468 With orbalisk armor, he was way less technical and much more aggressive. And don't forget Lightning is something that can kill Orbalisks. Which is a skill Krayt definitely helps.

I feel like experience in battle is sometimes undermined, I'm happy to see that battle experience would end up playing such an important part.

Also Darth Krayt vs Jaina Solo Fel or Darth Krayt vs Exar Kun (I think Krayt wins off of Force abilities, but I am always go back in forth between how Krayt can deal with Advanced Trakata tactics and logistics of dual blades vs archaic saber-staff).

Alright, I am a massive supporter of Darth Bane, and have a hard time imagining him losing to anyone. That being said, the shatterpoint ability does make their battle very one sided in terms of outcome. I love your videos and appreciate the point of doing fair and accurate comparisons as opposed to letting your opinion lead you to a path of "I say so, so it has to be true." Keep up the good work, and i look forward to seeing what you offer in the future.

Some of you are saying that Bane is a better duelist, and that could potentially be true but Krayt is on the same tier of dueling skill with TWO sabers, being powerful enough with two sabers to kill Bane in a flat out fight.

Most excellent explanation! I concur and understand most all of it. There are two unspoken for contributes that play a vital role in the outcome. References beyond count state that environmental advantages have a say in how their battle will play out and who utilizes them usually has the upper hand. The other contribution is that evil empowers evil doing, such as good empowers good doing. Any bond that would be considered a wild card for someone friend or foe who stands behind Bane or Krayt in their paths could ultimately help in a final result. I still agree with a one on one battle stage where no interruptions were possible the outcome would be Krayt but no one can account for an ever changing environment or hidden ambitions.
Last thing, you said Bane's physical advantage would not play a deciding role, though I do disagree in a sense. If Krayt DID manage to hit him with either one of his lightsabers, I doubt Bane would drop dead instantly, as he is just far too tough to let pain get the better of him, or even kill him for that matter. Krayt would have to land at least 3 hits on him to kill him, and you even stated that Bane was stronger and more agile than Krayt, which would definitely play some kind of decisive factor against him. But again, Krayt's Dark Transfer might enable him to win. So, in the end, good comparison!
Great video but I was wondering about Banes saber the curved hilt made him change the way he held the saber and made the angles of his attack change by a fraction making it difficult for opponents not familiar with the subtle changes it creates. That doesn't really change anything I agree with your theories its just something worth mentioning. Thanks for the video.

I honestly don't know why people don't like emperor krayt is it because he abolished the rule of two if so it's not like bane actually followed his own rule. Also bane was wrong about the rule of two. He said the sith would turn on each other which they never did instead when krayt died they followed Darth nihl to the unknown regions I kind of wish they make a story about that
Krayt was powerful enough to command the respect of the Sith. However, as we saw when he was betrayed by Wyrlock, his Order had the same fatal flaw that caused Bane to create the Rule of Two-- if the leading Sith is left vulnerable, even for a moment, a less worthy Sith can take the title of Dark Lord of the Sith from him.
That's what I'm saying because there are questions that need to be answered did the one sith turn on each other? What happened to the rebel alliance? Was cade the last skywalker?

Darth Bane would probably win if he were wearing his orbalisk armor, but assuming he was not, Darth Krayt just has too much experience and tricks up his sleeve. After all, Bane was technically one of the Sith he learned from, plus all of his various other training.

Actually, Bane got around his weakness against dual blades. During the battle on Tython he was able defend himself from three different Jedi, one of whom had dual blades. Each jedi attacked Bane from different angles to, knowing where his weak point was, and he still kept his guard up.
He did fair well against the Jedi I'm not arguing that. However, as I said in the Video he was equipped with his Obelisk Armor at the time and was able to just take the lightsaber blows dealt to him. Also being able to deal with a weakness is not quit the same overcoming one. Also lets remember that known of the Jedi on Tython were as strong in the force as Krayt.
EvanNova95 While the orbalisks provided him advantages of surviving any blow they landed, he also put his guard up once he was fighting three Jedi. The only reason the Raskta was able to land a few blows on him was because he allowed her to waste her energy on something she couldn't penetrate. I do think that after his fight with Kas'im he would have researched how to counter dual blade styles so he did not encounter that problem again.
With the bane's orbalisk armor.
There is no evidence for that claim. He had his orbalisk armor deflect Raskt'as blows, and she was effectively the only person that could fight him as Farfalla's only job was to protect her from getting killed by amped Bane's force abilities. Bane never got over his weakness against Jar kai, he simply had armor to protect him. Had he ever faced an opponent like Kun or Krayt, he would lose.

Darth Krayt may taste victory now, but what about piting him against either of the last sith lords of the Rule of Two? Darth's Sidious and Vader. That would be awesome.
He can beat vader easy. Sidious will struggle and lose in a one on one light saber battle but will win do to knowledge of the force
Doubt he would be able to defeat Vader as easily as you seem to think. I severely doubt Krayt could ever come close to besting Sidious in a duel, let alone in the Force.

Krayt was felled by Cade Skywalker, though admittedly powerful, was far from the expertise of several of Vader's kills, namely The Dark Woman, Roan Shryne, Bol Chatak, and many other seasoned Jedi masters and knights, all of whom lived in an era of war. Also according to Jensaarai, Vader may even be able to defeat both Grand master Yoda and Darth Malgus, I for one, agree with him.
As for Sidious, as stated by EvanNova95 in his Sidious vs Vitiate video, 'only six Jedi ever faced Sidious, only three of them lasted longer than a minute, only two of the them came out of the fight with their lives, and only one of them was able to best him." The last part being in reference to Jedi Grand master Luke Skywalker.

Whoops. For whatever reason, I wasn't considering later, LATER Leia, around the time of Caedus and all that. I definitely think it would be closer than what I was originally thinking, but I still think Meetra Surik's superior.
The most notable characters Leia defeated were Alema Rar, Beldorion, and Tahirir Veila. Meetra Surik faced the Sith Triumvirate, was almost as powerful as Revan, had far more combat experience than Leia, and had a much broader knowledge of the Force than Leia.

- This statement is wonderfully hypocritical. While I don't think there are FEATS that put Meetra Surik above Leia, there are conversely no feats putting Leia above Meetra.
Darth Vader I could see that a being a good fight. With Meetra only being conquerable by Darth Scourge and Leia having the same force potential as Luke. Meetra has far more combat experience than Leia, but with Leia's high force sensitivity (and the big adrenaline rush the fight would provide) I could see her coming to excide Kreia and Nihilus in a real life combat situation. It could wind up a close match but in the end I think Meetra would still win, if only barely, then the exile would absorb whatever power she could from Leia.

I think Krayt's enhanced speed and physical augmentation would play a role in this. Enhancing his speed and unpredictability against Bane and, in turn, making him a stronger duelist. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos, and I'd like to see Malak in one of them. Subscribed.

I have an interesting idea for your versus series. Instead of only do light saber duellists vs light saber duellists, do a shooter vs shooter. For example, have Jango Fett vs Boba Fett, father vs son deal. Or take a clone/bounty hunter such as Commander Cody vs Bossk or IG-88. Or have a Jedi/Sith with a shooter, like your group versus, that would be awesome. Well you get the idea. I think this idea would be very interesting and a good change of pace and well I'm just curious on who would win in a shootout.

Windu acknowledged in the book that Sidious had no appreciable limits. Mace had his vapaad martial art to fight him. Had the fight been on even ground, or had the dark lord not put himself in a compromising position to set the scene for Skywalker, their fight would have lasted forever. Sidious took a dive.
