H001 YT are you excited for the genysys sequel with return of Edward furlong Michael bien and Linda Hamilton and of cause Arnold swarchzenegger is this guy ever gonna quit he's like 74
How about the 2003 announced Batman v Superman which had Christian Bale cast as Batman and Josh Hartnett cast as Superman because Wolfgang Petersen dipped out to direct Troy. I guess from that mistake came the silver lining.. Nolan came in and picked up Bale and delivered the best Batman Trilogy to date.
@@5t3v3n12343211 he has been part of the DCEU since its very first begining, buddy. He is the executive producer and co-writer of M.O.S and executive producer of BvS and Justice League along Zack Snyder, Geoff Jones...
Really Now You're right. It wasn't their fault. There were no parts in the movie that actually allowed them to showcase their talents. It is just awful movie. Well actually Jesse Eisenburg was totally miscast. I like him in other films but he doesn't belong as Lex Luthor and that is the worst depiction of the character I have ever seen. You what? I am going to go ahead and blame the screen play writers as well. Because the story was crap. At least it lowered my expectations for future DC movies. So I will not be so disappointed in the near future.
1400IntruderVS Thing is, people panned it and I still went to see it anyway with the lowest of expectations and I was still extremely disappointed. Screen play writers only cater to Snyder's vision. Eisenberg is a great actor, perhaps Snyder had him do it. Or maybe he'd be a better Enigma. I don't know, from the moment I heard that Snyder was gonna do Man of Steel I started to get really worried. Lo and behold.
Really Now Enigma may have been better for Eisenburg. I saw the movie with low expectation but I was hoping the critiques I had read were bullshit as they often are. I walked away feeling the critics were gentle and I found that a lot worse could have been said. Happily I didn't pay to see it :) I think when it comes to these DC comic based movies they may be trying too hard. Which may be a reaction to the success of the Marvel movies. Which have found a formula that works.

The Stanley Kubrick Napoleon movie. That’s one I wish was made that should have been on this list. Just like the Star Trek film, it was cancelled because a similar epic was being made at the same time. Lame. Waterloo was good, but not Kubrick good. Bad decision robbed us of a shoo-in classic.

Stormer248 No need to watch it. Arnold was the only thing a little funny in that movie. Otherwise it was just a stupid plot, bad casting, and cheesy CGI.
agreed. a trilogy devoted to showing how John became the legendary resistance leader had so much promise. Salvation had its issues, but it was loads better than that hackjob rehash Genisys
razorfett147 just admit it that genisys is the worst lol, and the trailer actually gave the big twist. and in my opinion john connor in salvation delivered :/ he was the legendary leader but being 'legendary' was never enough to be above the government so he also got issues. salvation could be my second favorite after terminator 2
I'm with you. Salvation was wonderful and I would have loved two sequels in that gritty post-apocalyptical world with gnarly T-600s and starved out resistance and stuff. T3 was a travesty and Genisys bearable at best.
Same here. i loved Terminator: Salvation. It was a worthy sequel. The whole vibe and outlook of the future was perfect. Genesys was trying to be too smart and it turned out to be crap.
falsE apparently in the show "agents of idiots and were wasting resources and were more of a TV trope than Small ville" has already introduced inhumans so we don't need one. I wanted to see Crystal and Blaclbolt but we're not getting it anymore.
Actually, the Inhumans getting scrapped has to do with an ongoing feud between producers Ike Perlmutter and Kevin Feige. Ike was the one pushing for The Inhumans because since Marvel Studios doesn't own the rights to X-Men, he wanted to replace them with The Inhumans (something they've been trying to do for years in the comics). Ike's also largely in charge of the TV side of Marvel, which is why you see them in Agents of SHIELD. Now that Ike's been largely pushed out of the movie side, The Inhumans project has gone on hiatus, possibly never to be made. EDIT: And I just reached the point in the video discussing this.
Well, there's "It's Pat." They even made the trailer for the movie. However, the showings in front of test audiences bombed so much that the studio just caned the entire movie.
***** I personally think Idris would do well as Green Lantern John Stuart, also. However, I think Common is a pretty good actor, too. Besides that, GL John Stuart has a darker skin tone than Common (at least that's how he's drawn in the comics and the animated shows).
I hate the stupid feud between Fox and Marvel Studios. The really big fuck up is that they haven't been able to negotiate more sharing/merging of the intellectual property. Also Marvel Studios is damaging their TV shows, particularly Agents of Shield by making them follow the films without giving any input to them. While Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage can stand on their own, the fact that SHIELD is front and center in the films, and yet has absolutely no crossover with the characters or story of the show is just fucking idiotic.
They should have made a Freddie Mercury film then and not try and make a Queen movie. I mean Queen's still going, the band didn't die with Freddie 25 years ago. And I say that as a Queen fan.
No, that's not how it works. You heard it pronounced correctly for someone with a British accent. If you can't deal with the difference, perhaps another planet would be a better choice for you.
Lee Keels I think you should know that proper names follow the pronunciation of the owner, not something predetermined. Before using the name, maybe the speaker should have researched the correct pronunciation.
i don't think the star trek one is all that stupid. Before starwars the only popular (and profitable) sci-fi movie had been 2001. Star Wars was an unexpected hit and we got Star Trek two years later, only in hien sight was this decision stupid
plaguelock Kentuckian here :P i don't have much of an accent, but i do notice little things like that, and instead of "Our" or "Hour" i'll say "R". "oh that'll be an r or so", "hey dude, thats r's"
It’s pronounced em-or-ee, but you’re right. It was as snob move. They similarly would not lend their name to their medical school in the Robin Williams “Patch Adams” for fear of bad press.
Here are some few movies that they were planned, but a dumb mistake. - "Batman Triumphant" Since "Batman & Robin" didn't received very well for negative reactions, the studio wanted to make another fifth "Batman" film. Along with casting Howard Stern as Scarecrow. But unfortunately, it got canceled because "Batman & Robin" didn't get enough intention for most audiences and decided to stop franchise. So now, Nolan had re-made his own version of "Batman Begins" in 2005 as well as two greatest "Dark Knight" sequels and sure casting Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow. Sorry Stern, go back of being Fartman. - "Spider-Man 4" After time to time, Raimi wanted to make another fourth film, but it didn't last long after Sony to scrape off the original "Spider-Man" franchise and decided to cool off after "Spider-Man 3" became very weak because of the audience and critics alike. Raimi left out the franchise and Maguire stated few words that it was pretty fun and move on something else. Until now, they reboot "The Amazing Spider-Man and of course the shifty ass sequel that Sony ruined the concept. Yay the go you Sony-ass numb nuts. Let's hope "Spider-Man: Homecoming" won't last long. "Venom" and "Sinister Six" Yup another Sony failure mistake that they decided to make a two "Spider-Man" spinoffs. One is "Venom" which will be an easy idea to make and another one is "Sinister Six" which will be the follow up from the shitty sequel of "The Amazing Spider-Man." Unfortunately, they canceled and it was a mistake they're going to make these two films. Since Drew Goddard wants to make "Sinister Six," but left out the project and stays making written scripts and staying touch on Netflix's "Daredevil." Let's hope that thank god no third movie, no "Spider-Woman," and no "Aunt May" spinoff. Any questions?
Spider-Man 3 Gross > Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor - Pretty much all of the Marvel films accept the Avengers 1 & 2, and Iron Man 3. S3 did a little over $1 billion if you count inflation, so it was kind of strange that Sony decided to reboot it. Spider-Man 3 wasn't that good, neither was ASM2, but I didn't think rebooting the franchise was necessary.
***** It's the worst of that series, but it's still better than Iron Man 2 or Daredevil. They put in to many villains, the same that killed the original Batman franchise ( B&R) , and later killed the second Spider-Man franchise ( ASM2)
***** I liked Spider-Man 3 better than Iron Man 2, but I suppose it was little harsh to put it With Daredevil. What I meant was Iron Man 2 was considered the weakest of the trilogy, but didn't kill the franchise in spite of being around the same quality as Spider-Man 3.
+Felipe Rico actually there were many planned Batman sequels, That one you said is called Batman Unchained, and more planned sequels were Robin spin-off, Batman Year One, Batman: DarKnight, and even Batman vs Superman with Cage as Supes. Which I think is wrong. Cage is good as Ghost Rider, not Superman. But what I think they should have done is Batman vs Superman movie in early 1990s with Reeve and Keaton as Supes and Bats in main role, or instead in 1990s, in 2010 with Routh and Bale as two DC heroes. But first they should have release Superman Returns sequel in 2009. BvsS in 1990s would be a major box office success. For SM series, I personally think that they should have made SM4 instead of TASM, with no Venom spin-offs.
yea, the only version of Connor that ever time-traveled was in Genisys when he was basically killed and replaced with a T-3000 perfect copy, and THEN time-traveled. He never time travels in Salvation, for damn sure.
It's gonna be a TV series now. But Jeph Loeb's name wasn't in the press release so now I'm worried that it's just Perlmutter trying to stick it to Feige...
FYI, Newt is still happening. They didn't cancel it entirely at all! It's just being drastically reworked. Inhumans is also no longer going to be a MOVIE. It's going to be a Netflix short series or movie now. They still want to do it.
And a WW that actually appears to have the right face for the part. She's the first one I have seen that I might actually have really liked for it... Dunno anything about how she can act, but the look is DEAD on... More on point than any of the potentials I had ever seen talked about by producers and fans alike. Gadot is not completely horrible, but that picture fits like a glove... would've really liked to see how that would have gone...
To me, Bohemian Rhapsody was the Queen movie we needed and deserved. Rami Malek was fantastic as Freddie Mercury. The cast was wonderful, and the storyline was awesome. I don't even want to imagine what Sacha Baron Cohen had in mind. Probably something more along the lines of a tawdry movie.
Howard Stern said that the "Fartman" movie fell though because he wanted a bigger percentage of character royalties than New Line was willing to fork over.
Dream Works started production on 'Ants' after 'A Bugs Life'. There was a worker who was laid off from Pixar and was hired quickly by DW. 'Newt' would probably be seen as retaliation.
Here's another one: The Good Life (1997). Here's what the Wikipedia article has to say: "The film was never released on any format due to legal action instigated by Sylvester Stallone, who did a cameo in the film as a favor to his brother. He claims that a promotional reel of the film used his scene excessively, therefore was promoting him as the star, instead of the cameo that he had agreed upon. He sued for $20 million; his average salary at the time. The producers countersued, and in 1999 the case was settled out of court." If that's not a stupid reason to stop a movie from being released, then I don't know what is.
Patriots Legend a British accent, yes. like mine. we don't pronounce Halcyon with an extra syllable or talk about emoroy boards in any part of the UK, and those are both words we've had for a very long time. It's error, not accent here.
Actually, a bugs life was planned before antz, but when one of the Disney Pixar employee was not promoted, he left the studio and started producing a story his friends at Disney told him all about.
In a parallel universe, this video mentions the Ghostbusters reboot being shelved, and they repeatedly use the phrases "Thank God" and "we dodged a bullet on that one!"
Stern has talked about this many times. He wasn’t crazy about the script, and had gotten such a bad reaction at the MTV awards that he wasn’t really that interested in going forward with it. He’s sort of referred to Fart Man as a silly phase of his career at this point.
You ever look back at the nineties with things like Fart Man and cringe because you can't say that you weren't born yet, no you saw that and now you're scarred for life.
I think you need to understand the difference between canceled and delayed...
So what movies were delayed then?

Dammit Toby!
NO !! NO !! GODDD NOOOOO !!!
Yeah
That Star Trek had a dumb premise. They made the right decision.
Sad that the Terminator movies didn't happen. I liked Salvation a lot. T5 was awful
Sebastian Pessi salvation is very underrated, imo its the second best of the terminator series behind T2. entertaining from start to finish.
Stormer248 No need to watch it. Arnold was the only thing a little funny in that movie. Otherwise it was just a stupid plot, bad casting, and cheesy CGI.
Agreed. Genysis was garbage!
At least Bohemian Rhapsody did come out in 2018, with (in my oppinion) a better actor for the role, Rami Malek!
Emory University is pronounced "Emoree", not "Emoroy".
Unless you're British, and then it sounds like it did in the video. Calm down.
Lee Keels no, cause it's a name and it doesn't change based on dialect.
Vivek Rajeevan Do you realize that what you just said makes absolutely no sense? The very nature of a dialect is that pronunciations change.
Not for a proper noun.
Vivek Rajeevan For ANY word.
Luckily Kevin Smith never made the Fletch sequel. It would have been awful
he was a one off
i might be that rare guy who actually like terminator salvation. 2 more sequel would've been awesome
agreed. a trilogy devoted to showing how John became the legendary resistance leader had so much promise.
I thought it was more than good. Way better than the 3rd movie and the terminators looked way better than they did in that new 1.
But we got Dumb And Dumber Too, a sequel to Dumb and Dumber
Scraped Inhumans because of Captain Marvel. Such a shame.
falsE
apparently in the show "agents of idiots and were wasting resources and were more of a TV trope than Small ville" has already introduced inhumans so we don't need one.
I know about that, I am just implying that Inhumans could have been good. On the other hand, when did we get a good fantastic four movie?
falsE We did get a good Fantastic Four movie. Actually, it was great. Superb, even.
They called it The Incredibles. =p
***** lol good one
And here we are in 2018, gearing up for the Queen movie. Funny how things change, and thank Zeus that Cohen isn't in it!
Ummm, that would be Emory pronounced "em-or-EE" not "em-or-oy"
From the State of Jawja, thank you,+LivingAsLynn!
... EM ER ROY.... EM ER ROY..... AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
Worse is the fact that he correctly pronounces "Halcyon" twice, but also pronounces it "Hal-iss-see-on" once.
No the worst is how he pronounces biopic as "bio-pic"
Snootz82 - That's just how us British pronounce that word. And the Narrator is English.
Well, there's "It's Pat." They even made the trailer for the movie. However, the showings in front of test audiences bombed so much that the studio just caned the entire movie.
That's what the get for using weirdo Hollywood PC triggered wackos for test subjects. The whole rest of the country would have loved it.
It's pat went straight to video in the 90s. Execs. ,and test screening audiences were right. Awful. ..
What!?!?! Common could have been Green Lantern and there was no movie? Why, why, why?
Kimberly Allen cause idiots
I was hoping he would mention The Mask 2 with ''Jim Carrey''.
I remember that.
Deric James I member
Dominic Raynes member chewbacca again?
Lmao!
VELK0N what there was gonna be a mask 2,:( ill be sad for days lol
6:12 "when executives GOT WIND of what Lawton was planning..." Bwhahahaha.
is the narrator Dexter Manning???
Sounds like it
MrJoekinggiant74 Now that you mention it.
It's I Hate Everything
Nah, It's Dex.
IT WAS FUCKING KILLING ME NOT BEING ABLE TO REMEMBER IT WAS DEX! XD
"You know karate?"......LMAO!
Way to screw us all surviving members of Queen!
Jonathan Alexander Yup. And without Freddie, Queen no longer exists, no matter what has-been they try to replace him with.
They should have made a Freddie Mercury film then and not try and make a Queen movie. I mean Queen's still going, the band didn't die with Freddie 25 years ago. And I say that as a Queen fan.
they also want that the movie didn't all the gay and drug stuff
Jonathan Alexander Dave grohl would have made an amazing Freddie mercury
I'm REALLY glad that we didn't get a Revenge of the Nerds reboot!
It's pronounced Emory "emeree", and they are one of the great medical schools in the country, so a stupid movie there was already a mistake.
THANK YOU! It pained me to hear that Limey butcher the pronunciation!
No, that's not how it works. You heard it pronounced correctly for someone with a British accent. If you can't deal with the difference, perhaps another planet would be a better choice for you.
Lee Keels
I think you should know that proper names follow the pronunciation of the owner, not something predetermined. Before using the name, maybe the speaker should have researched the correct pronunciation.
The guy can't pronounce "Halcyon" either. What's with this "halicion" stuff?
D. Paul Riderman That's not how it works, never has been.
I'm confused, they did make Dumb and Dumber 2.
They explained it lol just re-watch the video!
I'm really confused
too.
i don't think the star trek one is all that stupid. Before starwars the only popular (and profitable) sci-fi movie had been 2001. Star Wars was an unexpected hit and we got Star Trek two years later, only in hien sight was this decision stupid
"hind sight" not "hien sight"
senovar
thank you, im an awful speller
plaguelock
Kentuckian here :P
i don't have much of an accent, but i do notice little things like that, and instead of "Our" or "Hour" i'll say "R". "oh that'll be an r or so", "hey dude, thats r's"
plaguelock Well. im american and we do tend to drop ts and ds from the end of our worda american english is very lax about pronunciation
WhoAteEarth You are dead on. Plus, if Trek had been released the same year, it may well have tanked due to market saturation.
Spider-Man 3 wasn't that good, neither was ASM2, but I didn't think rebooting the franchise was necessary.
cool story bro!
6:11 "when executives got wind..." - pun intended? :D
1:35 yo its toby
ikr i just noticed that
samantha esther Thanks for confirming my thought. I'd recognize those sleepy eyes anywhere. LOL
yay
lifeforce nes
"I hate so much about the things that you choose to be."
Why did they want Armie Hammer to play Batman when they already had Christian Bale to play the part at the time?
That was late 2000s right?
I'm pretty sure John Connor doesn't do time travel. Unless you were thinking about Genisys.
yea, the only version of Connor that ever time-traveled was in Genisys when he was basically killed and replaced with a T-3000 perfect copy, and THEN time-traveled. He never time travels in Salvation, for damn sure.
Anyone else feel a sad little shock seeing Anton Yelchin's appearance at 5:05? RIP Buddy
SO SAD
Wouldn't it be an "idiotic mistake"? Or am I wrong?
Tom Buchanan yep, you are right
Tom Buchanan: Correct
The "Writers Guild of America" guy is from The Office. And he seems just as awkward in real life as in the show! AMAZING!
Inhumans didn't get cancelled it got moved back to 2019
It's gonna be a TV series now. But Jeph Loeb's name wasn't in the press release so now I'm worried that it's just Perlmutter trying to stick it to Feige...
Justin Ramroop no it's been pushed back it's not gonna be a series
JR SmileyFace You're simply incorrect dude. Look it up, they greenlit an Inhumans series
AAAND its bad.
The trailer for the QUEEN movie has just been released and it looked pretty awesome to me.
timing of this video is perfect, Inhumans TV miniseries announced today/last night
thank God they never made Fartman
Emoroy...Halicyon...I'm more distracted by the weird pronunciation than by any of the factoids
FYI, Newt is still happening. They didn't cancel it entirely at all! It's just being drastically reworked.
Inhumans is also no longer going to be a MOVIE. It's going to be a Netflix short series or movie now. They still want to do it.
*sigh* dammit writers guild strike you cheated us out of a jon stewart green lantern
And nothing of value was lost
Howard Stern said that the "Fartman" movie fell though because he wanted a bigger percentage of character royalties than New Line was willing to fork over.
Stern didn't originate Fartman, the concept was from the National Lampoon Radio Hour.
Hearing that we didnt get plasmarifles in the 30 watt range because of a company that couldnt pay off 10% of their revenue is pissing me off.
I wish the terminator salvation sequels happened.
Terminator Salvation was the last good Terminator film. It is a shame
Connor McCartney Mee too, with Bale!
Dream Works started production on 'Ants' after 'A Bugs Life'. There was a worker who was laid off from Pixar and was hired quickly by DW. 'Newt' would probably be seen as retaliation.
Uhh I'm pretty sure that was a smart move by Star Trek so they didn't have to compete with Star Wars.
Here's another one: The Good Life (1997). Here's what the Wikipedia article has to say:
"The film was never released on any format due to legal action instigated by Sylvester Stallone, who did a cameo in the film as a favor to his brother. He claims that a promotional reel of the film used his scene excessively, therefore was promoting him as the star, instead of the cameo that he had agreed upon. He sued for $20 million; his average salary at the time. The producers countersued, and in 1999 the case was settled out of court."
If that's not a stupid reason to stop a movie from being released, then I don't know what is.
It's not EMIROY, it's EMORY. Emry.
hehehe I'm from Atlanta and I was dying with that shit. EMAHROY
Also, pretty sure Halcyon is not pronounced Halycion. Narrator seems to have vowel problems with words he doesn't know.
"Emory", not "emoroy"
"Hal-see-on", not "ha-li-see-on".
The Gothic Two-Step DIFFERENT ACCENT
Patriots Legend a British accent, yes. like mine. we don't pronounce Halcyon with an extra syllable or talk about emoroy boards in any part of the UK, and those are both words we've had for a very long time. It's error, not accent here.
thank god justice League mortal was cancelled 😅
1:35 is that Toby from The Office?!
Sushi Uchiha said the same thing lmao
If I had a gun with two bullets and I was in a room with Hitler, Bin
Laden, and Toby, I would shoot Toby twice.
dude the terminator salvation sequals would have made my life. i really loved that movie
"Oops. Forgot to take the lense cap off" - Patrick Star
Toby is seen in the writers strike clip
>:-X Toby!
Daniel Martinez you mean the Devil?
Rowan Atkinson
played the devil "Toby" in a comedy clip.
Am I the only one who thinks Looper is MCU fanatics?
im pretty sure the speaker was dexter manning?!!
It is
Yeah I was like what the fuck
I know him from sanity not included (qucik vine-like videgame based comedy)
Actually, a bugs life was planned before antz, but when one of the Disney Pixar employee was not promoted, he left the studio and started producing a story his friends at Disney told him all about.
Woah DEXTER MANNING IS ON THIS CHANNEL
I was thinking just that voice sounded familiar.
lurp lyrpes ant Newts impersonation complex balling God lording pest parasite star kill lame non yell of be being human?..
How is cancelling having the same plot as Rio for Newt "an idiot mistake"? Thats a good move.
"when executives got wind..." - narrator speaking of film whose main character is called "Fartman"... Pun intended?
"When executives got wind of Fartman..."
Very amusing.
newts are not lizards! they are amphibious, like frogs.
burning newt salamanders then?
Ummm...Star Trek would have DIED if it tried to compete against Star Wars.
He read it right.
"Emeroy?" Really?
In a parallel universe, this video mentions the Ghostbusters reboot being shelved, and they repeatedly use the phrases "Thank God" and "we dodged a bullet on that one!"
"Emoroy." "Halicyon."
Stern has talked about this many times. He wasn’t crazy about the script, and had gotten such a bad reaction at the MTV awards that he wasn’t really that interested in going forward with it. He’s sort of referred to Fart Man as a silly phase of his career at this point.
is the voice determanning ?
Yep!
Ezekiel Herrera did he ever say he was part of looper?
Jesse True
You ever look back at the nineties with things like Fart Man and cringe because you can't say that you weren't born yet, no you saw that and now you're scarred for life.
