Kinda saw the whole ev depreciation coming. Once it wears, there’s not much u can do about it. Not like u can head to napa and spend the day changing the battery
Plus, there’s zero soul. Enthusiast interest or all out reliability and usefulness are what keeps used car prices up. Ev’s have neither.
I remember seeing these electronic “auto pilot” devices back in 2003 with beginner RC aircraft. It was a system that “detected” the aircraft diving too much, and would correct itself. The device also thought the same during turns, and would almost deliberately crash the plane. It’s only gotten slightly better over the years, but is definitely not ready for human driven vehicles
Anybody with half a functional brain saw this coming. Only idiots with no understanding of technology or cars with too much disposable income and/or a good credit rating actually bought into these sub 10 year lifespan scams. There are some cool ones on the market, like the Porsche Taycan and the Hyundai Ioniq 5, especially the N version, but I'd still NEVER buy one.

I can tell an idiot on autopilot..looks like a drunk driving extra careful thinking he's fooling police, lots of brake lights, weaving but never actually crossing the lines, slow take offs at greens, hesitations at stop signs etc.

Don't get your hopes up yet. Alternative fuels are highly unlikely to even be practical and become mainstream.
@@WilliamHD2 Hydrogen is easier to produce than petrol and can be transported with a tank. I can see the future with a mix of fuel cell and conventional powertrain powered by hydrogen.

@@WilliamHD2 Everything needs time to adapt. The rise of EV is largely due to law makers around the world who decided to promote EV's supposedly "Zero Emission" benefit and offer Tax discount, subsidies, etc. Not to mention the cult of Tesla helps the growth of EV a lot.
Besides, If anything EV is just as impractical as Hydrogen cars ,if not more, due to the battery and motor being extremely unreliable with respect to temperature (ie, great shut down of EV in China due to cold waves) and the danger of fire(can last at least 2 days even with fire fighters continuously trying to put them out) and the added stress to the power grid.
If the same happened to the Hydrogen vehicle, it would 100% go mainstream.

When I researched EV's last year, they were depreciating 5x faster than ICE cars. Nice to know they depreciate 10x faster than ICE cars!

It looks like the timeline is finally starting to correct itself also that dealership ain't getting those other cars back especially the demon 170 that thing is probably in somebody's Private collection in a country that has no diplomatic ties to the us.

I loved top gear America more than top gear uk because there was more action and as you said you can tell Tanner, Rut, and Adam put in their all towards the show and it was much more enter and relatable.
Found the bronco and the Waggoner two cars not worth stripping down but that 170 yeah she's stripped and dumped some where like the Vegas one

Ok, who can even think about automatically taking control over breaking or steering is good idea? Its stupid from begining, just like humans, and even more like computers in human situation. We need to stop buying new cars, last good cars was like before 2018
I think half of the problem is Used car buyers and typical people don't have the home infastructure for EVs. It makes some sense if you can spend 60k on a car you have a home and power grid that can charge the car but for most people buying used who live in apartments etc EVs aren't practical. I'd have no way to charge one, I bought a used accord for more than it would have cost me to get a same year model 3 because even though my work has a charger next door it would be inconvienient for me to really on the few super chargers in my city otherwise
Some people just make driving look way more difficult than it really is. It's easy, just don't fucking get distracted. If non enthusiasts paid a little more effort and attention to the act of driving we probably wouldn't have to pay for superfluous extra safety gizmos in cars...
The automatic brake rule is so dumb. Going to make cars unessessarily more expensive

Once those batteries die, no one wants to spend upwards of what half the car costs to replace them 😂 Not to mention the technology and software aging as well.
The tech doesnt age besides maybe wires breaking from wrecks or animals but the software should be fine for as long as tesla supports it
