Hmmm some reason my game doesn't look that blurry at all on PS4 pro. I use a 55 inch 4k Samsung TV from 2019 and it looks clear like ps5s here.. But how far did you zoom on the test?
The first one is without zoom, second 2x i would really like to take a photo or video if it's possible to compare with my footage. :)
@@ZeroBenchmarks that is interesting to see because the PS4 pro can definitely last a couple more years, a lot of people have actually been saying this too. Like on a video of the game cyberpunk, the PS4 pro Vs PS5 the detail isn't the biggest difference, the render distance is better on 5. Maybe it's the developers of this game thinking "we'll make the PS4 pro game a bit more less sharp because it's old now" yes it's old but the specs aren't that badly obsolete and can definitely easily play new games in today's world. I'm getting PS5 near Christmas only because I want to try out 120hz but if I didn't care I'd keep the pro for a while more. I'm giving the pro to my brother for Christmas because unfortunately the base PS4 he has is struggling on the crew 2 game where as the pro is optimised well for that game

I have a base PS4 myself but thankfully it didn't seem to "struggle" up until now. I played games like Elden Ring on it and some newer ones and it seemed just fine. When playing Elden Ring there were problems in largely popullated areas with frame rates and your average jet engine sound coming with it but besides that aspect it was fine.
Its ur TV doing the upscaling, not the console. 4K TVs does a very impressive job in upscaling if u manually increase the sharpness level. When my sharpness level was at default, my game used to look pretty blurry on 1080p. Literally after I increased it, my game looks like its running on 4K & I literally own a PS4 Slim.
Trust me, it even looks better than the 1080p on my PC.
That pixelated digital zoom really helps sell the point.

Actually, it’s not always about the money. I have many different consoles, Xbox one x, ps4 pro and a few vintage consoles and I got a ps3 last month because I wanted to play games that were exclusive to ps3 and I think the ps3 has the better native blu ray/dvd player. It as has features like A-B loop which neither my ps4 pro, one x or the newer consoles have. The reason I held out on getting the ps5, besides the fact my pro still holds up was that I’m waiting for games to stop being cross gen. Only when true ps5 exclusives come out that won’t be on ps4 pro will ps5 games be true current gen. I also want to get a 2.1 hdmi supporting oled first and my current TVs still work very well. I’ll probably wait till GTA6 to get a ps5. Nothing to do with the money you can get a ps5 from Very and not pay a Penny up front and pay small monthly payments that even the lowest income families can afford without interest fees. At present the graphics jump from ps4 pro to ps5 is not big enough to justify the upgrade, especially as the best games on the ps5 are still cross gen. Games will only be truly current gen when they can’t run on last gen hardware. The difference from ps4 pro checkerboard 4K to ps5 native 4K is harder to spot than the difference between ps4 1080p and ps4 pro checkerboard 4K. I skipped ps4 and got the ps4 pro to compliment my 2018 4K Q9FN qled. By the time true current gen titles come out I probably would of upgraded one of my TVs to oled with hdmi 2.1. People that ran out and got the ps5 are no different to those who ran out and got the ps4 at launch. I waited and by the time I got my Ps4 pro most of the best games were out, some where on the way and the older games people blew their wads on that were small upgrades on the previous console version were very cheap.
Its about what makes you fun. I bought used ps2 1 year ago and old TV just to enjoy, remember and live some child moments. And i was enjoying, didnt think of graphics for a second... we are just being spoiled and robbed with our own wishes.

I have a 144hz 1080p monitor and the performance is really good but the graphics are still good just not 4k
To run PS4 pro in 4k, you must have a large TV to enable this function, not a small monitor with good quality, because on a smaller monitor you will not see such a difference as on a 4k TV

If you really want beautiful gameplay id go for the series s/x and no not for console wars its genuinely awesome and the series s goes up to 120fps at 1440p and the series x does 4k at 120fps
