- Imagine paying $2.50 for a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich every day on your way to work for years and then suddenly being told the price is now $4.50. Bodega owners say inflation has driven up their costs so they've had no choice but to raise the price on the classic sandwich from the griddle.

That’s why I’m going to get eggs and some rolls from the supermarket tomorrow. Way too expensive
Prices always go up and several months after minimum wages go up . People plan to retire at ages 60 to 65 and most will have to still work since retirement pay won't cover their bills and that's if the person even lives to retirement. What's really strange is you never hear about the family of someone whom worked many years getting the money of a family member that died before retirement so where does the money go.... Should go to the spouse or eldest of the children but it just disappears somehow. Question everything.....

Make your own food! Simple that way you know it’s being prepared properly! We’re NY’ers we don’t need anyone to do shit for us!
I just bought a dozen eggs for over $5 they used to be like $2
Bet my big homemade breakfast burrito is twice the food & twice as good using 3 jumbo eggs, 3 strips of thick lean bacon & lots of Cabot Extra Sharp Yellow Cheddar Cheese & for the same price or less. Start making your own.
The media really upped up the symbolism behind a bacon egg and cheese.
Eggs have not doubled in price. Most of these stores use a few cent raises to raise you a few dollars for every sandwich.
In Smalltown USA I pulled up in MCD's drive thru and the 2 people in front of me ordered and got their order in one bag. As I pulled behind them to pay at window 1 the lady said " $30.02 " ??

The price of bacon is ridiculous.
As someone from Texas I’ve always loved NYC culture and have had HUGE respect for it! Can any New Yorker shortly explain the culture behind Bodegas and what some of the standard orders are? I know baconeggandcheese is one but are there others? Much love from the south!
