*I'm deaf in my right ear which is why I'm not wearing headphones. I know, it's a bummer not to get the panning sounds. It's also been a bummer to only have one ear my whole life for lots of other reasons, like, playing telephone growing up, I was terrible at it. But, I'll be ok, and I'm getting both channels in the earbud, thanks for your concern :)

Keep reacting to Radiohead. They have so many classic songs that will stir your soul.
This. Radiohead is one of the best alt rock bands of all time, to be honest.
Can you advice me some great songs please

Side note: I guarantee the more you listen to Radiohead, the more you will find yourself saying, "What is that noise?" (in the best possible way).
It's Ed, always Ed
@@vxorg8702 This song: it's definitely Jonny. Other songs (that "is that keys?" moment from his review of 15 Step), it's often Ed.
"There's such a chill, such a chill...." "And now, we are one, in everlasting peace..." Romeo and Juliet killed themselves to be together. They could have run away, but their end was so much more tragic.
Exit Music was written for the final credits of Romeo + Juliet. Although it was not included in the soundtrack at the request of Thom Yorke, the song appears on OK Computer.
Radiohead is such a special band, their first albums are based on garage and grunge music with a really angsty vibe, Creep came out from Pablo Honey their first album. Then they start playing with electronics and synths, and their current music is a lot more experimental and almost ambient at some points. Tho in most of their albums the themes are kind of similar: melancholy, disappointment, existentialism, critiques to capitalism.
The song is on alot of film's and series the most recent one being the umbrella academy
Amazing band.
Radiohead songs you could react to:
Paranoid Android, Fake Plastic Trees, Nude, Reckoner, Jigsaw falling into place, Daydreaming, Street spirit, No surprises.
Cool. Now we all know Thom Yorke’s favorite songs. Beautiful vocal melody on Reckoner by the way.
And talk show host peepoPog
Weird fishes and how t o disappear completely also
you forgot sail to the moon
Fitter happier
"Now we are one in everlasting peace" refers to Romeo and Juliet's suicide pact. Thom himself stated that he couldn't understand why they didn't just run away together, but that's not what happened in the story.
Radiohead - Street Spirit
The music video is amazing. One of my favs.
Radiohead is amazing bro. A whole atmosphere.
Song was originally written for the Baz Luhrmann adaptation of Romeo + Juliet, the other song they have on the soundtrack is titled “Talk Show Host.” The film was released in ‘96, the year after Radiohead’s sophomore release “The Bends” and the year before their critically acclaimed “Ok Computer,” (also my favorite Radiohead album, checkout “Electioneering,” “The Tourist,” & “Climbing Up Walls”.) “Exit Music” is also one of a handful of songs I was getting pretty good at just before my acoustic guitar was stolen. 1997 was a huge year for music.
Hmmm...hard to pick my favorite song from this great, great album, but "Let Down" has stood the test of time for me. Sure, "Paranoid Android" and "Karma Police" are great, but "Let Down" just has the best crescendo. Regardless, Radiohead, as a band, have progressed their music in all kinds of interesting directions, but you should definitely check more of it out. They're great.
I agree. Let down is amazing
The noise always sounded like the sound of seagulls to me, so I always pictured a young couple walking near water with seagulls nearby. And I totally interpreted the song a similar way; someone rescuing someone else from an abusive father.
Most will likely say something similar, but this was actually the "exit music" for the film Romeo and Juliette with LEO. In that regard, it is probably one of the MOST straight forward songs Radiohead has ever done (not as ambiguous). Glad you liked it Jersh. Thanks. Absolutely one of my favorites.
There's no one like Radiohead except the Beatles their constant changing of their style and sound makes for a great musical journey.
Thom Yorke's fragile singing, the desolate, subtle, acoustic guitar and let's not forget the Mellotron make this a very intense and haunting song that catches Romeo & Juliets core so well.
Since I see a lot of great but mostly obvious suggestions in the comment section, I'll put down a few tracks I consider quintessential Radiohead; one per album: Blow Out, Bulletproof (I Wish I Was), Climbing Up The Walls, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Life In A Glass House, A Wolf At The Door, Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Give Up The Ghost and Present Tense.
Every Radiohead song is so different from the next. One of my favorites is 15 steps
The use of this in black mirror gave me so many chills
There There and Paranoid Android are two of my top favorite Radiohead songs. Would love to see your take on them.
Radiohead was one of my favorite groups in high school. Pablo Honey and Ok Computer were some of the first albums I ever owned.
You should definitely do more Radiohead, they have some amazing chord progressions
Radiohead yessssssssssssssssss,
This album is always on my playlists. It’s absolutely one of the best albums ever.
I love how his voice stretches out over the music and builds without being flashy. Just beautiful.
And the Romeo and Juliet sound track is all together melancholy. It introduced a few artists to me growing up. Garbage being one of them.
I love that soundtrack. I think it was the first soundtrack I actually bought and its because I loved the movie so much and the music used in it.
This song always just makes me feel. One of the best emotional climbs and resolutions.
Best reaction ive ever seen to a song!
OK Computer was one of my favourite albums of the 90s together with The Bends. Both so beautiful in their own way. OK Computer was an epic intense journey like nothing I'd listened to before. Climbing Up The Walls is another highlight for me.
Jersh you really can't go wrong with that album. Karma Police, Let Down, paranoid android, climbing up the walls etc ....
Okay - recommendation:
"2+2=5" by Radiohead. I'll be watchin'!

There's obviously some overlap and this is only a small sample of the vast catalog of great music, but I hope this might help if you or anyone chooses to listen to more.
@SuperJersh Your Forrest Gump thumbnail in the bus reminded me of an episode of an Irish Sitcom called Father Ted about a bunch of priests living together. Anyways on one episode a priest visits because he's depressed, inconsolable and suicidal and they go to great lengths to cheer him up before he finally comes around. At the end of the episode he leaves on a bus. The driver turns the radio on and this song comes up. His mood quickly plummets and he returns to his previous suicidal state. The fact you said the song is soul crushing just brought this back into my memory and it's a hilarious coincidence.
Other Radiohead songs you should react to:
Stop whispering
Thinking about you
High and dry
Fake plastic trees
(Nice dream )
Just
Karma police
No surprises
Everything in its right place
How to disappear completely
Pyramid song
True love waits ( the live version off of I might be wrong )

Not trying to challenge your interpretation, I think it’s valid. But... I mean... it’s Romeo and Juliet. Um... they don’t get away. Or they do, but... yeah. I think the nature of their “escape” is why the song is built to be so haunting. Also, get the pun in the title... “Exit Music.” Like... a love song to die by. :)
More Radiohead! Climbing Up the Walls, Subterranean Homesick Alien, Idioteque... you could make this a whole rabbit hole series and I'd watch every one of them.
You should definately do more Radiohead, great band! A song from another band with lots of feeling and an air of depression is Round Here from Counting Crows.
You should react to the In Rainbows album. Such a masterpiece.
The full spectrum of Radiohead is deep and wide. Enjoy the ride. Always an interesting sonic palette.
Love me some radiohead
More Radiohead please!
This is an amazing song! Radiohead has an incredible catalogue of beautiful and interesting music as they have many different sounds. Any song from the album's Ok Computer, Amnesiac, In Rainbows, or Hail To The Thief would be great listening if not very familiar with their music.
It's been my experience to with regards to this band like with people that say love hip hop/rap music especially back in the 90s, that those hated this band at least at first, then we go apart but a few I've seen later in the years, and comment to me that say, "I'm sorry about what I said about what I know is your fav band, and admit that it had grown on them and that they liked them now." Considering how versatile they are and still around. Guess that's what made them respect them more. I personally knew they would last and grow from their original stuff in the beginning.
Love your interpretation of the lyrics! Before I knew it was the music to the end of Romeo and Juliet this is exactly how I felt about it and I’m a huge fan. I imagined it was about a family escaping the abuse of their father and have a very hard time listening to this because it reminds me of a time when as a kid I had to “pack and get dressed” before my step father heard us. He was a diagnosed sociopath and he was very abusive. We got away but he found us and tried to choke and drown me and spent time in jail for my attempted murder. This is the only Radiohead song I have to do skip on the album and avoid listening to because, although I think it’s brilliant, it takes me right back to when I was 13 year old teenage girl with his hands around my neck. I’m 56 now but I guess the scars from abuse stick with you and I just wanted to listen to a few reactions to it, to see if anyone had the same reaction as myself.
one of my favorite Radiohead songs
Love this 👌
I believe that sound in the song was in fact a recording of people at a park. I don't know where I heard it but I remember something about one of the members Jonny Greenwood taking the recording while staying at a hotel somewhere.
Not sure if anyone else confirmed the noises you heard but it actually is recorded voices in the streets of a place somewhere in Europe, can’t remember where from. They were touring and someone had the idea of using the audio for a song.
I wish they would of used this not only in the credits for Romeo + Juliet but in the soundtrack as well because it's one of my favorite movies and soundtracks.. but Talk Show Host is amazing in its own right and when it shows up in the film its perfect. Anyways the world is in chaos, everyone just needs to chill out and listen to Radiohead, it will soon be over.
my fav track from Radiohead of all time..
This is literally about the Romeo and Juliette story. It was part of the soundtrack for the movie.
Shivers. Every time.
You need to react to The short film/music video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson featuring Thom's solo music. The film is called Anima and is on Netflix.
Your interpretation was mostly correct! Also, please more Radiohead! You should check out Street Spirit
Love the shit out of this song. However, if you want to hear haunting, you need to hear "Climbing Up the Walls" off of the OK Computer album. That is the creepiest, most haunting song I've ever heard. It's fucking terrifying how claustrophobic it sounds.
I’m reading all the comments and had no idea that this was writing purposely for Romeo and Juliet. I interpreted that it was a mother telling her kids to pack while their father is asleep. As far as that loop it would be their memories playing over and over on that chilly night asking mother to sing to them to sooth them.
Radiohead is one of my favorite bands of all time!!!
Nice reaction. Btw, I like your background, did you make it yourself?
"Kenny you've been looking at kids"
i would suggest 2+2=5, lotus flower and myxomatosis.
I love the dirty bass tone on this track, nice choice. I'd love to see you react to the official video for Kaitangata by Alien Weaponry.
Ahh I slept late and find youve returned to one of my fav bands. This song is a very sad one from OK computer and probably the saddest from that album. There are no really happy songs.. its either completely out there, soul crushing, or hauntingly beautiful with few exceptions. If I could give a 1000 views to convince you to take the dive I would.. They go in so many different directions its hard to point you in the direction that will appeal to you. I can give you a few highlights because the ones you've hit are probably not the best starting point.
Street Spirit (music video)
Just (music video)
Talk Show Host
Pyramid Song
Sail to the moon
Weird Fishes/Arpeggi (From the Basement live)
All I Need
Daydreaming
Sonically it’s depressing, but lyrically, I feel it’s one of the most hopeful songs in their discography. It’s one of their only songs that ends with victory for the narrator.
My favorite band
This song is used often in tv series and movies, perfect song for that
Yep, I remember it from Black Mirror and Westworld
Radiohead demands the full album experience.
Top songs from them you need to hear in my opinion:
Bodysnatchers
Just
Nude
Planet telex
The national anthem
Subterranean homesick alien
Optimistic
Apologies if you’ve already reacted to any of these, I’m new to your channel but enjoying it!
Would definitely enjoy more Radiohead reactions. Also, I would suggest the band Muse - could start with the song madness
Hyper Music !
I’m not sure if you watch Black Mirror but you should. It’s phenomenal and is an anthology so every episode has a different storyline. This song was used perfectly in the last few minutes of the episode “Shut up and dance”. Definitely check out the show. It’s wild!
Just wait until this guy finds out the entire album is a story about the nightmare future.
Let Down is must listen song. It cames next after this in the album
Fella,.... It's a song about Suicide. Specifically Romeo and Juliet's suicide.
Youre way too underrated-
Check out 'Everything in it's right place' or 'Nice Dream'
While each Radiohead song from the OK computer album stands alone listening to the album is an entirely different and worthwhile experience. Its frequently on top or at least top 5 albums of all time here in the UK. I remember listening to it in the late 90s and it just encapsulated that feeling it we hurtling towards something far too fast and having no control. That something being the millennium, the lightening pace of modern life, computers and technology developing faster and faster with no study or scrutiny on possible long term consequences. It was eerily accurate capturing that. It would be interesting to know how you feel about it as a whole album being of the generation that hasn't ever known a world without that technology at your finger tips.
Radiohead - Reckoner would be a good next song.
I cannot wait till you get to the lyrics for Fake Plastic Trees.
It’s suicide bro. Romeo and Juliet. It’s the ultimate Exit.
More radiohead 👍🏽
PLEASEEEE react to more Radiohead.
If you ever hear this song in a movie or TV show you know some bad s**t is going down.
Hail to the Thief/The Bends are their best albums imo. Fake Plastic Trees and 2 + 2 = 5 are my favorites.
Also the mention of Romeo & Juliet reminded me of a song by The Butthole Surfers called Whatever; highly reccomend.
Hearing Damage by Thom Yorke used in The Twilight Movie, amazing & the base is phenomenal!
Radiohead like spinning plates from amnesiac.
Radiohead - A Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Now i want you to react to bjork’s discography especially vespertine
Hey! I know you’ve already heard “Rooster” by Alice In Chains, but for someone who loves movies so much, if you haven’t seen the music video for that song, you ABSOLUTELY have check it out, picture something along the lines of “Platoon” or “Apocalypse Now”
will def stay for some radiohead (but I’d truly love for you to react to the new album by The 1975)
it's a deep pool those Radiohead boys, be careful there Jersh.
Exit Music is not a song for the vulnerable, it will destroy the toughest of hearts!
I can give some Radiohead suggestions and they have videos:
Pyramid Song, Street Spirit, Nude, Daydreaming, No Surprises.
Fantastic choices
Man of war, daydreaming, pyramid song, knives out, paranoid android
When you talked about a light hearted romantic lovesong made by Radiohead, my thoughts went to Shiny Happy People by R.E.M. So now I'm trying to imagine what a Shiny Happy People type song by Radiohead would sound like.
More Radiohead! You should check out Pyramid Song!
I think it's two children with the same father. He says before your father wakes up because the narrator can no longer call this person his father. Either that or I had a bad childhood lol
Radiohead - Street Spirit has got to be reacted to
Radiohead had lots of criticism & were labelled by many as writing depressing or suicidal music but it’s simply deep & genius!
Reckoner or Fake Plastic Trees!
Dude! In all seriousness!!! Look at any of their "live from the basement" series. Preferably "weird fishes"! Amazing stuff!
Favorite performance of my favorite Radiohead song 😁
React to more Radiohead songs. A few suggestions: Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Reckoner, Nude, Daydreaming and everything in its right place.
Next Radiohead song please listen to Idioteque, it's my favourite song of theirs personally. :)
I think that you need to read 'Romeo and Juliet' by William Shakespeare and then you might understand the lyrics to this song.
My favorite song from OK Computer, an album full of great songs !
any radiohead fans reading this: i absolutely adore this song and Creep but i haven’t found any other song from them that resonates with me as much; any suggestions?
If you like the vibes of this song I would recommend "Street Spirit", "Pyramid Song", "Reckoner"
And their whole discography basically!
I'd recommend Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Daydreaming, and All I Need if you're into that beautiful gloom..if you want more I posted a big list of songs and what style the songs fit into in the comments if that helps you at all. Fantastic band to dive into.
Gotta do The Reckoner by Radiohead .. whole In Rainbows album is great..
You should react to their Fake Plastic Trees concert in Glastonbury 2003
