David Hardison ordering my Phantom 4 next week super excited i hade originally bought the Phantom 2 and planned using my GoPro Hero 4 for 4k but i unfortunately had to return it and get my money back one week later because of one battery almost made it crash and one barely gave it flight time so im ordering a Phantom 4 next week unboxing/first flight will be coming soon i can't wait 😭😭😭😭

Great Video, helped a ton on general set up and connecting to an apple device. Appreciate the time you took to make it! Now I need a video to find out how to correctly use all of these buttons! The quick start guide is decent, the manual goes into a ton more detail but almost overwhelming to make sense of.

handy to note... with the Phjantom Pro 4, you need to push the start buttons twice... just get the lights on, and then push the button again for 2 seconds. Otherwise, it doesn't do anything... took me 15 minutes to figure that out, ... not mentioned anywhere silly enough...

* windy... I hate auto correct! ha. .. I'm glad it does well in windy conditions, as I live where it can blow. Your video is great because I would never have known how to do those software updates. Plus, seeing someone like you make and correct minor imperfections is helpful and cool.

good stuff. I'm thinking there's hope. too many of these videos are too fast to follow, use too much technical language for us hangers on and just are not good stuff, but this is pretty good stuff.

Great video...unfortunately I am lost at the "software update- add your device" part of the installation process... I think that it will be required to hire someone to help me, as this is an android tablet display...a P-4 is about as far away from "plug and play" as electronic equipment could be !

I would give yourself an hour to set up the P4. You have to update the app before you can fly.

( 13G36 ) Does anyone know ? I see a lot of people using the smaller or newer usb connection cable, My ipad uses the wide that connects to the ipad itself, then has the standard usb connection plug...

Depends on what drone you have. DJI GO 4 is for the Phantom 4 Pro, Mavic and Inspire 2. I think that DJI GO will work with all older drones. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

How would it work if you wanted to take one of these on a plane with you? any special things that need to be done due to the lipo?
There are a ton of videos about traveling on airlines with LiPos, so please look for those. But the basics are - don't take too many batteries - most airlines won't let you have more than 3 - 4 batteries in a single bag. Second, buy some fire proof bags for LiPos on Amazon.com - the batteries should be stored in those for travel. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Hi, you're mentioning the 110V charger - will it work on 220V too (with an adaptor for the plug)?
I think it will because it has a built in transformer. I wold double check that, but I"m pretty sure it will work just fine.

Where do you get the FAA number to put on the side of the Drone? I heard they just passed a law to where you got to have a license to fly it.

+Godless Glen you buy this drone with the assumed pre-requisite that you aren't someone just buying it to fuck around with, the main demographic is cinematographers/drone enthusiasts who usually don't fly like a douche, flying in controlled areas. The forward obstacle avoidance is so that the craft can detect objects it's flying towards and accommodate for them. No where in advertising did DJI promote they had a fully autonomous drone. I thought the same thing at first, but then when you think about it, it keep costs in the consumer realm and also keeps battery life normal. Imagine if there were 4 more sensors working to figure out if it's going to bump into something, that'd kill some battery.

It will work with an iPad. You just need the adapter to hold the iPad.

I "ASSUME" These batteries are charged fully.. Never Assume!! Confirm. I am sure you never ment this, But this should have been worded differently from an "Airmanship" point of view. Set to educate. Many viewers watching this video will take that as Compacency perhaps. Also, Would be a good idea to advise that having the props off whilst indoors is a safer option every time when setting up.. I did notice you took them off later though :)
You also turned the aircraft on before the drone.. No compass calibration. But the really big issue here for me... Is it really necessary to fly so close to your lads head/face in this video??? Really important factor!!.
