Fantastic Rick. I have been viewing Phantom 4 (beginner) videos on RUclips for the past 2 weeks (anticipating buying one shortly) and to be honest, all of the videos were certainly no where as comprehensive, succinct, informative and professionally done as yours. You have chosen a very logical way to move through beginner instruction and you seem not to waste any time on non necessary chatter. With your one video I have learned more than all the previous videos combined. This is the information I have been looking for. As a retired instructor myself, my sincere thanks for offering something so well produced.
I will subscribe here shortly. Thanks again.
Thanks for the feedback. I try to show that not all sellers are the same and that I'm just as much about my product knowledge than I am about selling it. There are many sellers who are in it to make a buck now and don't care about the product.
I agree.. bought a phantom 4 on Saturday but i failed to fly it.. this is really infomative
Great video! Thank you! Bob Lewin was spot on with his comment.

Thank you for your kind words. id like to keep the videos coming but the drone market is very tight at the moment and smaller dealers like myself are going under and its difficult to get the time and money to make these videos. www.patreon.com/marionvillemultirotors

love your work! great stuff! my phantom 4 is old now, i think it's time to get a new one! looks like it's all about the phantom 4 pro! i will be posting some more stuff soon! hopefully it will be as good as expected
Sorry for my bad English :
First of all great video.Great job.Great information.Thank you sir.Just a note.Something for the "Video output" at 9:52 .
For the most of the people here is always better to choose NTSC format wherever there Country is because contains more frames per second.
We use digital signals today (HDMI) so it doesn't matter which format you choose. We dont really use old connection cables any more (RCA) so there's no problem to always choose NTSC standard to get those extra frames. This apply not just to Phantom 4 but to all of the modern video devices.
Great video Rick. Thank you for a very well done and easily explained intro to the Phantom 4.
Glad it helped.
Very informative for a noobie like myself. But a question ... at about the 18-minute mark you talk about calibrating the IMU. Okay ... so what is that?
sweet job getting ready wanna know how to get to more videos from you
Question : will a Phantom 4 charger from the USA work in the Philippines on 220 volts. Thanks in advance.
Fantastic video! Hoping to pick a P4 up next week :)
Can u get me one please
+Matt Cross Make sure you buy from a proper drone dealer as they need your support.
this video made everything so easy, thank you!
Glad it was helpful.
Excellent video
Excellent, thanks!
Tank you very much , John from St. Maarten .
Glad you like it.
Very informative video. I have a question. How do you set reset the camera gimbals to level? I can't remember which program it's in.
Although you say the controller is pretty much the same, the phone/tablet holder is a huge improvement over the 3. Much more sturdy and stable.
It's the same as the Inspire but can be fitted to the P3 controller.
great explanation thanks
Really great lesson!!! Tops!!!
Nice, i have learn't a lot, i have ordered a dji phantom 4 that is coming in like a week
Are you supporting your local dealer.
Marionville Multirotors ?
Marionville Multirotors if amazon is a local dealer then.....hell yeah. I would rather pay 799 then 1000
You'll get no help or support from Amazon.
Marionville Multirotors got help twice and DJI care. besides, our local dealers are Apple ans bestbuy and they told me to purchase DJi care.
Thank you Rick excellent video.
No problem.
Excellent video mate. I just got my phantom 4 yesterday and for some reason I can't charge the new batteries. Do you have any idea what I should do. The lights do not scroll across like your video. Any help would be highly appreciated
Make sure the connector is fully pushed into the controller as it can be a tight fit.
Great VIDEO Thank You!
Thank you for a very informative video. Good Job!
Thanks.
Just got my new Phantom 4. Can't figure out how to charge the controller. Hope this video helps. Then I need to figure out how to connect everything with the DJI Go app. Wow.
excellent vid thanks
Great video, good info. Those of you who disliked this video, go take up bungy jumping with extra long rope ..!!!!
Unfortunately there will always be someone who dislikes a video, for reasons unknown.
great information!! thanks so much!
Good luck with your flying.
Thank you so much, this was awesome!!
And lets not just rely on the DJI GO App for updates, You can also Download the "DJI Assistant 2" for your PC and just connect your phantom via USB and use that program for updating as well.
Thank You Very Much, Brilliant 👌
Marionville Multirotors how's you? sir i am using phantom 4 advanced, i just want your help that how i can mount a night vision device with my drone to get a night view. I will be really thankful to you for your guidance.
Nice video bro
this has helped me so much thank you 👍👍
Thanks, great video!
hi I need some advice please. I recently purchased a Phantom 4.. and typical of me.. I panicked and crashed it.. no serious damage per say BUT two of the propellers have a scuff on them.. now is it safe to fly with those two scuffed propellers? or do I need to replace them? thanks awaiting your reply.
awesome advice
Great vid. Thanks so much for making it. Just got my 4 pro but I'm not sure if I've done damage to it already or not. :/
Through my own stupidity I accidentally turned the unit on without removing the gimble clamp! It was probably on for ten minutes. How bad is this?
Also when I updated controller firmware through the micro SD card I got an 800 error. I tried twice more.. same error. Then I reformatted the card and tried again and it worked.. Should I be concerned those failed attempts will cause any issues??
DrLemur it will be fine. If you kept doing it you would burn out the gimbal motors.
Does it need to be calibrated everytime you use it in different location?
I have to re comment, I just paid $1200 for the DJI phantom 4 from Best Buy I like it!!! It's almost plug and play but these videos makes it complicated
I loved the camera it's so stable like a rock !!! Cenma experience and nice pic!!
The easy to fly and return home are nice I couldn't find subjects tracking !!
But the only problem is the signal ( it's so week and can't fly more than 1/2 mile without cutting and clutching in signal
But it's nice flying bird!!
Now I thank to make same on RC heli will be so much fun!!!
Ozy Ozy I'm glad you like my video. One thing though, stores like Best Buy are killing the small retailers and soon they will disappear and videos like mine will no longer exist. If it wasn't for my supporting customers I wouldn't have the time and new to make them.
Thanks for the great video. If the controller battery is not fully charged does it reduce the range or create any issues controlling the P4?
It would have to be very low until it was an issue. You would get ample warning first.
Best video. Thanks.
you you have a video on weigh point flying, or how you can download maps? I have pretty poor coverage in my area and some of the place I want to fly that my tablet doesn't work. So I wanted to figure that out.
I haven't gone into detail on that yet. For maps, just go to where you want to fly on the app and it will cache the maps.
my phantom 4 will be here tomorrow!
I hope you bought it from a proper drone dealer. They need your support.
+Marionville Multirotors naa sorry, i got it from SLR HUT, got an awesome bundle deal
+Lloyd Vlogs that's a real shame. SLRHut are killing the independent dealers like me. And they don't pay taxes in the uk as they stock is grey imported.
Marionville Multirotors I'll remember that in the future dude, thank you for the information
+Marionville Multirotors do you do deals on a battery bundle of any sort ? Just checked out your website 129 for a battery is still quite reasonable though
Nothing fun like flying scale helicopter!!
Great Rick thanks
Nice information. Just a thought but to perhaps help durability for the foam. It might not be a bad idea to apply a harding liquid Styrofoam compliant too help and then upgrade to a more reliable hardshell. Just a thought. Got one on pre-order. Stay fly thanks!
It's the same as there back pack so it's quite durable. Have you ordered from a dealer?
Great tutorial, thanks for sharing ;)
