- Bungie just announced they're getting rid of sunsetting, old weapons will be restored. And thank God I didn't delete these old weapons from Destiny 2's storied past that were once incredible in PVP! Which sunset weapons are you glad you kept?

There is no hopefully, they've outright stated that the plan is to reissue most if not all sunset weapons with updated perks for the modern sandbox

As someone who for some reason held onto a Galliard with 21 zoom, ricochet rounds, tap the trigger, kill clip, and a stability masterwork because it looked cool... it overjoys me to hear TV describe my exact (aside from the masterwork) roll with such reverence. Honorable mention to my Ringing Nail with 22 zoom, tap the trigger, and zen moment.
I could never delete my Galliard, because I just worked too hard for it - 1000 forges... Mine is a 4/5 god roll; SPO 57 (20 zoom), ricochet, dynamic sway and high end reserves. It's like having rampage at the end of every magazine. The range used to be close to 40 m, now it still + 30 m. On that journey I had many good Kindleds, Tataras and Ringing Nails - only kept a few.

The only sunset weapon I kept was the curated roll of kindled orchid with kill clip, rampage, and drop mag. Wish I kept my quickdraw kill clip tatara gaze. Ooof
I kept that, and 2 play of the games with the wrong elements. I wish I had kept more, but I do constantly run out of space for all my ass tier rolls lmao

I'm sad to say that most of my sunset weapons haven't survived the purges because of vault space, and all I've got left now are some cool trophies that people can now buy from the Monument to Lost Lights. I never played FPS PVP before Destiny 2, and was so proud to earn Not Forgotten during Season of Arrivals. That, my first Trials Flawless, and eventual acquisition of Igneous Hammer are my proudest PVP achievements.
On to the subject, but I'll say what I wish I kept;
Perfect Paradox - super cool lore weapon. Saint 14 was inspired by a fellow Guardian to keep fighting when times were tough and he lost his way, that tales inspired us, and then we found out in Season of Dawn that we were his inspiration and we got it as a random roll.
Ringing Nail - I think that would hang really well during with how ARs are performing now.
Kindle Orchid - the Rampage / Kill Clip Void monster. One hell of a handcannon
The Galliard mention sent me into a PTSD forge grind flashback. Eventually landed a god roll right before it got sunset and felt so burned by that that I got rid of it. Thanks for the bad memories TV 💔

Never got the god roll but did get weird Stockholm syndrome flashbacks for Black armoury, strange how the mind works

I pulled Traveller's Judgement from collections yesterday and boy, the memories. Fit like a glove. The only sunset weapon I ended up keeping was the Long goodbye for some damn reason....

Glad you’re still sniping TV! Snipers used to be my main specials but after the special changes i took a break from using them and now i’ve fallen to the dark side of fusions and slugs and i dont know if im turning back

A few of the weapons I had kept were mainly my Ringing Nail w/ QuickDraw kill clip, Steelfeather Repeater w/ ambitious assassin multi kill clip, and a parcel of stardust.

My favorite pre-sunset loadout was patron of lost causes and traveler's judgement 5. Those, a curated kindled orchid, and a max stability duke mk. 44 are the only guns I kept.

Kept a handful of tangled shore kill clip rolls and a dust rock. Got a moving target kill clip anonymous autumn too. My rangefinder/kill clip horrors least fell off a bit after the nerf. I took a big break after forsaken. Would love to get some black armory and sundial weapons.
Thought i still had my galliard but just checked n it was a swift ride pulse 😢 . 18 kelvins was one of my favorite ever. Called it the "pap pap" gun, loved its sound. Deleted a lot but still got some treasures in my vault for sure. Dad bygones, kindled, etc. Doesnt really matter since theyll eventually bring most back but better but still nice to have.
I have a Breachlight with Demo and Osmosis for a Verity's Brow build in PvE. There's only 1 primary in the current sandbox that can roll Demo and Osmosis but it's a crappy Scout Rifle; there used to be an Auto Rifle until they removed it from Prophecy (which I kept one of those too). I have a Void Ikelos SMG for PvE as well so I can make it shoot volatile rounds. And I kept the Drop Mag, Kill Clip, and Rampage Kindled Orchid. I have some other stuff too but these are probably the things I'm most interested in breaking out again.
Kept 3 eyasluna's..took my main one out for some pvp yesterday. Still slays!
I’ve got a galliard with moving target and tap the trigger. Also my bygones and travelers judgment. And a kindled orchid with rampage and kill clip.
I just kept the old bit of the fox (still probs my fav snipe tbh) with moving and snap (i like that moving is active every shot, as well as the move speed) and all handling perks. I also kept the good ol kindled orchid with rampage kill clip.
The only one I kept was the curated Kindled Orchid.
Was definitely thinking about the grape flavored 18 Kelvins that you had though.
Something kind of underground about the un-sunsetting is there are actually a decent bit of sunset 600 rpm auto rifles that have similar base range to gnawing hunger which we don't have any of post sunsetting (it has 48, and is only beat by an adept summoner w range spec). Maybe the mags or scopes limit them but I'm curious if that'll get anyone's attention.
I kept several sidearms with TTT including smugglers word, travelers judge, and translation theory. But Ether Doctor is probably my fav sunset gaat that never left my rotation
I kept a few of my pvp stuff. Duke mk 44 with opening shot and kill clip. Tap the trigger moving target smugglers word
What about that dust rock blues? The only gun i couldn't get rid of was the kindled orchid with rampage and kill clip
I went back and was able to re aquire some of my most favorite weapons
Deleted the last of my sunset gear last year. There's a few I kinda wish I kept but I'm more excited for what those guns will feel like when they return fully
i kept my curated kindled orchid and breakneck but there are some great pinnacles like 21 % delirium u can pull from collections. also vestian dynasty with kc dragonfly is a classic
I miss my breachlight for PvE and my anonymous autumn and kindled orchid for PvP, but I am very happy to have kept my Bygones with KC and Headseeker. It’s the only oke of the sunset weapons I kept. The orchid roll was mid with rangefinder and I think threat detector, but it was the first HC with which I ever hit something in the Cruicible. AA still hurts, but it’s replaced with the new solar sidearm (heliocentric something) - and the pairing with bygones is still on the menu.
My travelers judegement is replaced the Last Dance, so at least that is fine with me. That TJ felt wired to shot for me back in the day anyways, despite me farming for it like a crazy person.

Only weapons I have left from sunsetting are Kindled Orchid and No Feelings - glad I have both, but definitely miss my old traveler’s judgment with rapid hit.

I've got my traveler's judgment with farpoint, ricochet, rapid hit, ttt, and range mw ready to dust off.
Also rampage/headseeker bygones, under pressure/rangefinder erentil, kill clip/rampage kindled orchid, and rangefinder/ttt last hope.
So many other vault space casualties...
I still have my Duke Mk.44 and Bygones, and a Quickdraw Tatara's Gaze as well. I also have my ove PvE Marty's that i used religiously back then. cant wait to bring them back :D

- Under Pressure/KC Antiope (sporting a range of 87)
- best of all my Zen Moment/KC Ringing Nail
I had a few I broke down over the years but I kept ones with higher kill trackers!
TV! You forgot about a few that could be great! Anonymous autumn w/kill clip, bygones (I have seen a ton more out in the wild) and my breachlight has Threat Detector and elemental cap, helps compete with the Forgiveness.

I got a quick draw/kill clip ringing nail, my headseeker / kill clip bygones, and an old mind benders that I might bust out. Sadly, I deleted a ton of sunset stuff 😭
I’m so glad I kept my Galliard with dynamic sway and kill clip. I loved that gun and was never gonna shard it.
I kept my Travellers Judgement with autoloading hoster and Tap The trigger. So happy it's coming back
I kept my Perfect Paradox shotgun with Demolitionist + One Two Punch/Swashbuckler, along with some Black Armory Weapons and Mindbenders. I always had a feeling their glory days would come again, and it did happen.
Kept an under pressure moving target galliard, a headseeker kill clip bygones, but my threat detector kill clip smugglers word interests me the most.
I kept my Breachlight, Demo/vorpal which I used to use a lot in mayhem. 3x Galliard. Trackless Waste SMG, which after zoom nerf really lost a lot of its potential because the 17 zoom was what granted it a lot of range. Ringing nail zen/kc I pulled out in the last IB to go for solar kill bounties and it was a little short on range compared to Positive Outlook, but still performed pretty well. JQK, 3x Kindled Orchid including the Rampage/KC curated roll. Max range Bad Reputation zen/KC 600 smg which before Shayura's, was one of the longest range SMGs out (with 17 zoom).
A lot of the sunset weapons havent aged well, and one that I am disappointed that I deleted was the Travelers Judgement. Mine was Auto loading/Tap the Trigger, and was used during the season that sidearms were the only AP champ option. I used it in a few PvP games, but at the time I wasnt using burst sidearms (mostly lightweight) and needed vault space. Thats the one that I am kicking myself most for. Although now that we have holster mods, the auto-loading is much less important. I mostly liked that I could backpack it and never need to worry about reloading and just pull it out when needed...
Breachlight with polygonal, flared magwell, threat detector, and vorpal. Might not have the best range, but when I heard an enemy super I ran towards them. Can't wait to use it again
I have a QuickDraw kill clip Galliard. Honestly I’ve used it more post sunsetting than pre. It’s a beast.
The Duke with zen moment + kill clip
I kept so many sunset weapons purely bc I put so much into getting them or just loved to use them. Used to heat rising around pvp with my 99 range, high impact reserves + air assault blast furnace cause it would melt people at scout rifle ranges. still got it to this day
I've still got my curated ringing nail and my tempered dynamo. Looking forward to using them again
Hey TV, when are you going to review the new breachlight. I’m in love with my vorpal threat detector roll (I’ve killed way more supers with it than I should’ve ever been able to but people don’t pay attention). Is there a better role out there?
I kept a very similar roll of Travelers Judgment, I still remember how it felt before the rapid hit changes. It’s still good, but back then the gun was just crazy. Could not delete it.
One I kept which you might have enjoyed is the Smugglers Word aggressive sidearm with max range and tap the trigger which procs at every shot

I kept literally one sunset gun (other than my recluse for its kill count) and it's a Kindled Orchid with drop mag + rampage + kill clip.
This is making me feel like a dad who’s finally able to use one of his 2x4 blocks that he’s had for decades.
my all time favorite smg is still on my character for patrol and pvp vibes, Trackless Waste with 17 zoom, ricochet rounds, zen moment, Kill clip. It's adaptive so not the most lethal, but it's got stacked range AND stability so it's easy mode for pretty much everything
I have max range and max stability claws of the wolf with slideshot and kill clip. 540 pulse :)

But my dark horse is the Trophy Hunter with pulse monitor and disruption break. I’d use it with rat king and getaway artist. Fit the Predator theme I was going for. If your shields went down you would get max handling on the snipe and a full reload and then If you got a body shot with the snipe you could clean up with rat king at 30m and go invis at full recovery. A real get it then hit them and run build. So much fun

For me my ds + kill clip chroma rush is one of the only sunset guns I still have and I love it.

I got my Galliard (QuickDraw/killclip/stability) and have used it regularly since it was sunset. I’m STOKED that this is about to be returned to full strength.
Honestly, TV: I’m floored you didn’t mention the sidearm I MOST attribute to you. That’s the anonymous autumn. You talked about it a ton and saw you use it on stream more than any other sidearm for a time, that it forced me to get good with it (I wasn’t a huge fan of sidearms at the time). I pulled it back out for nostalgia about a month ago and haven’t taken it off in 6s since. Since the AA days, I’m a sidearm main and have used and abused every sidearm I can find and I still can’t find anything that works better than anonymous autumn. And now that I can take it into Trials…
The Breechlight has to be one of the few 2 shot burst pistols I ever liked. Admittedly, it's mostly due to the fact it was the closest thing (aesthetically) to the Halo Magnum before Forerunner came out. Also, I miss the old Black Armory forge missions. Those were really cool and fun.
Are the pinnacle weapons coming back as well? I'm not looking forward to revoker
The only weapons I didn't delete were the season of dawn one's and oh boy I'm thankful I didn't. Now I get to enjoy again my two breachlights (one for pve and another for pvp)
erentil was a menace, i still remember getting killed from 40 meters away (I AM NOT JOKING, i was running a blast furnace and the drop off on mine was 40m, and it was experiencing damage falloff) and instantly hitting the power button on my ps4 and going to sleep

its really cool sunset weapons are coming back, but I started playing 2 years ago so I need to earn them and see how they are. I like scopes, I think they are free rangefinder perk essentially as it is now after the range decoupling from zoom. My question is that if the scopes add stats as well other than zoom?

Hey TV...can you do another vid regarding strategy for 6v6? Everytime I turn a corner I am being shot by 3 guardians. It's extremely frustrating and I don't know how to combat it. I take different routes...3 dudes...I try to play passively, rushed by 3 dudes. It makes me not want to play sometimes. Any advice would be great.
