The player in question apologized though, so Cammy unblocked them

Using thorn on this build allows the perched threadlings after using weavewalk to chase enemies after hitting one shot because of the tick damage. Most other weapons require two hits. Synergizes well with this setup and forces your opponent to always be on the lookout for them
As a hunter main one change they could make is that the clone can trigger kill perks if it gets destroyed by the enemy team. That way the user has to be smart about when and where to use it.
Also make the mobility penalty on the smoke a bit less harsh (pvp only).
For swarms i think they should reduce the aggressiveness of the tracking and the scorch effect. Maybe reduce its damage by a bit (pvp only).
Remove aim assist pull.
If it's killed by an enemy threadlings don't spawn.
Reduce duration to 5s.
Nerf HP to 50.
That's just the beginning, Strand clone is a disgrace to gaming whoever made it needs to be blacklisted from the gaming industry.

I've wanted it to trigger kill perks too. You can get kill clip from stasis turrets but not clones? That doesn't make sense.

Weavewalk did get better with the missing fragment slot getting addressed finally recently.
But it was a pretty poor value proposition. Get moderate "invincibility" but no actionability and you move slowly that costs *1 aspect slot, 1 fragment slot, and at least 1 melee charge.* All to just delay getting killed if they follow you or instantly be killed if they've got The Shotgun or any other stasis.
@@BarderBetterFasterStronger You know... Weavewalk can sprint and slide. If you use burst glide with it, it can almost act as an Icarus dash if you pop in and out with it.

As a hunter main...yeah it's abit strong
Swarm need to last less and to less scorch.
Smoke needs to dissipate abit sooner.
Clones health need to have less health or just make it that it's whole body is a crit.
Smoke and swarm nades just zone too well and swarm especially just fully locks down something for a set time(you can't shoot all of them)
I don't think the spam is horrendous, it's the potency of the items that's detrimental and the only way to counter the wombo is with hunter clone
You can look up my stats, I'm not an S tier player(don't look at my life time KD I started out rough and play comp more than anything) but my point being is I've been a hunter 1 trick so I feel I know what should be done. AKN_123
dont forget a very good super only a tier below well and bubble, as well as slow dodge which also gives hunters DR ontop of potentionally having either wormhusk, double dodge, with either ophidians or dragons shadow on the class item, its a culmination of a class that just has a very strong neutral game alongside strong passive or aggressive play.

Smoke literally does everything, this shit debuffs you, blinds, manipulates radar, damage, and slow your movement for a bit. Like bruh, i'm a titan, the best thing we got is stasis melee and 90% of the time its a ghost melee
2:52 Needle storm is essentially blade barrage with better tracking and range, if you spent time spamming galanor’s because of their buff before the final shape then needle storm will feel a lot more comfortable to you if your a hunter main planning on switching to warlock
I would argue while the tracking is more severe, the randomness of the projectiles is a lot higher as they aren’t nearly as concentrated on one target, allowing more whiffs on targets you feel like you’re aiming DIRECTLY at
@@isaiahpowell interesting, it seems like the problem isn’t the fact that the projectiles are somewhat random. It’s the fact that there’s substantially less compared to blade barrage so that randomness shows itself greatly when aiming because both supers are very “random”
Tell me you've never used Needlestorm in PvP. The tracking is incredibly inconsistent. I've had many instances of landing the full volley on people and they walk away undamaged. Or they just whiff and then anyone can put any damage on the threadlings to instantly pop them because despite doing more damage than regular threadlings, they have no added health.
Thing is with Blade Barrage is you get two volleys and are able to spread them in two different directions making it a lot more versatile than Needle Storm.
Actually crazy how fast those melee abilities are recharging with 100 Strength + Eye of Another World. I need to farm out some Strength gear.

This setup went so hard on multiplex trials a few weeks ago, when you have competent teammates who can contribute to a fight that is. Plus being able to play obj. in weavewalk is crazy and definitely tilted some people

I just run strand titan. Shuts down the mindless aping with conditional shotty. Forces them to play strategically. Or they just keep getting caught suspended over and over. Only 1 percent run this class for some reason. 🤷♀️
Because you only gonna die to it once per match then it's useless.
Your class is reactionary their class is proactively used and has more ways to be used.
I get it it's not bad not saying it but it only works vs one dimensional player..granted alla strand clone spammers are trash but even trash will not die to it more then 2-3 times.
Depends on the skill bracket your playing, the higher the tier the worse the class begins to look since movement and Ariel play are more prominent

if you're on an open map and have heavy and super you can wellskate with the strand super (it uses the super)

Agreed. The main issue with prismatic hunter rn is the zoning capabilities. With a meta that favors shotguns and typically closer range fights, hunters that run prismatic can practically control these fights with little effort. Best nerf from what I can see is to try and get rid of the potency of these zone control tools by either increasing the cooldown of these abilities, or making them less oppressive by maybe making clone or smoke last less. Or decreasing the tracking of swarm grenades or just getting rid of the aim pull from the clone. I personally run Arthyr's Embrace to try and stay longer range or out of sightlines. I also run double primary (symmetry and sidearm) along with fusions if I feel like it.
@@oakenshieldgaming107 My job requires heavy lifting and lots of hand usage(stiff sore hands), I easily get stomped on by shotguns, SMGs and lunging melees at close range. So I already naturally keep my distance in a fight and have had very few issues with the new Prismatic Hunter meta, feels no worse than any of the many other meta load outs and weapons. I personally rather the abilities have longer cooldowns including the new arc super on Prismatic. I don’t want to see the abilities nerfed because the other Hunter sub classes could really use them, I worry that Bungie can’t precisely target Prism Hunter without hurting the other sub classes.

I'll tag up a hunter with 1 shot and then boom random BS they dodge making a clone throw swarm and smoke and I'm just sitting there like: "dude I only hit you once and you never once baited me into following you into that mess......wtf?" Hunters are dumb.

Threadlings deal a lot less damage while you're in weavewalk, so it's not worth the cooldown.

I don't get why weavewalk is so slept on. Seems like the strongest ability to me.
I've been thinking that since weavewalk got introduced. I reckon it'll one day get nerfed when it inevitably becomes meta for sure. Reminds me of how long it took Chaos Reach to become the meta and for bungie to nerf it.
If you ever encounter another warlock running this, run Shadebinder with stats focusing on Recov, Strength, Discipline. Punishing those weavewalks with a penumbral blast or a frostpulse is heavenly.

Let them nerf Spectre and Smoke, my main draw to Prismatic Hunter is the amazing feeling of _speed_ from Blink, Grapple, and Bakris. The Spectre is very nice as a get out of jail free card in close quarters 😅

My solution is to team up. take advantage of the Ember of Benevolence and the new healing gun. pick an ez gun to poke(I don't even ask for killing, just need some damage to charge my healing gun, for example, the osteo striga). In 3s, 400% skill cooldown recovery, 800% class ability cooldown recovery. I don't need to aim.
So we can spam more ability and healing. Titan with Alpa Lupi + Swarm grenade(scorching recharge class ability), Warlock with Speaker. Yep, we were standing in the smoke and shot back. Shotgun rush? no problem, here is my 15s cooldown healing barricade, and my bro warlock is back on me with tons of healing.
Bungie should make a mode that doubles the player's health and sets some objects to make it become Overwatch.
And the insane class ability recovery makes Citan's Ramparts once again available. Tank, Healer, Damage dealer, here we go.

There's nothing wrong with hunter, titan needs a buff and honestly most warlocks are just upset that they can't do good DPS on the healer class but also refuse to use the healing abilities. I'm a hunter main, and I've been really enjoying the prismo warlock. Warlock is arguably just as powerful as hunter, just a different play style. The only thing I've died to recently is unstoppable ogres hammering me into the ground and that's cause I wasn't creating orbs because I changed a mod like a dummy. And my build isn't reliant on my weapons so I can use whatever guns I choose and it still allows me to spam my abilities. The build is healing rift, arcane needle, storm grenade, feed the void and bleak walker(hellion also works), and the facets are hope dawn courage protection and purpose, and getaway artist exotic gauntlets. I have a 100 resilience stat but 70 for discipline and everything else is a 40 or 50 so honestly I don't think anything other than the resilience is necessary, I tried it with 12 recovery and it was still working fine. I wouldn't say it has the same ability spam as the hunter melee dodge loop but you should have 100% up time on your grenade abilities which with a few mods for orb generation and ability regen should make a comfortable loop of consuming your grenade and dropping rifts and throwing needles
This is regarding PvP only. Prismatic Hunters are a problem there.

What confuses me is how an evasive maneuver such as dodge got turned into something so offensive with many hunters purposely destroying their own clones or pushing rather than fleeing with one in their back pocket and then peekshotting around their clones
