It's the OLD way to do it. Used to be the only way. People have called to my attention that this is not necessary anymore. I have tried both and the old way definitely has a different feel that I have gotten used to.

The way I did it in the video is the way I learned a couple years ago on my Taranis. I did some testing both on the TX16s and the Taranis (setting it up like you said), and they both work fine on both radios. I fly better using the old method because I am so used to it, but thank you for calling this to my attention. I would be interested in getting your feedback on trying it the other way and see which one you like better.
@@ckhayeet so you were able to connect RadioMaster tx16s to Mac, don't you? I'm currently thinking about buying one, but I'm worrying if it will work with Liftoff.
I'm repeatedly calibrating and fine-tuning in lift off each time I calibrate the throttle keeps moving the yaw or pitch with it and then when pitch it only pitches up and goes up all of the sudden when I push it all the way up, anyone knows why?
If I connect TX16S to my HP laptop with USB C port, it doesn't work. however, If I use the same USB C cable but with C to A adapter and connect it to the laptop's USB A port, it works. I'm not sure what the problem is. It's not the cable, or the TX16S or the Laptop's problem. Happens to another laptop with both USB C and USB A ports. only works if it's connected to USB A.
hello everyone! I'm having as bit of a problem even after watching this video. it feels like when I'm flying the controller has two very different sensitivities in lift off. yaw right is pretty smooth but yaw left is vicious. this goes the same for roll. throttle up is very unresponsive then suddenly I'm taking off to the stars. anyone know what could be wrong? I don't think i need to set the driver up as it recognized my controller as "RM tx16s joystick" I followed the directions in this video.
They must have changed something in the radio or I just got lucky. I didn't have to do anything in this video. I just pugged in the USB C cord went to lift of and in the control part it showed the radio picture as it usually does and it said RM TX16S. I clicked it and then calibrated it and it worked perfectly? Also I dont know if anyone knows but the 8 in 1, 20 in 1 sims you can get off eBay work perfect with the radio also by just plugging it into the DSC port on the top of the radio. I noticed the the (mono TS) cord that comes with those type sims dont work. I had to use a (stereo TRS) cord and it works fine.
@@TahoeSteve I dont know if you know or not but you can use the little cheap eBay 4 in 1 , 20 in 1 sims with the radio also. Most those sims come with a mono TR cable. It wont work. I had to use a TSR stereo cable and you just plug in the DSC port and it works like a charm. If it doesnt find the radio you have to go into the trainer settings and make sure its set to Slave/Jack.. I updated my firmware and it changed the setting on me and I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work any longer and finally figured it out as it needs to be set Slave/Jack. Hope this might help someone.

It's the OLD way to do it. Used to be the only way. People have called to my attention that this is not necessary anymore. I have tried both and the old way definitely has a different feel that I have gotten used to.
@@TahoeSteve thanks for clarification
@@TahoeSteve Will it make the simulator feel different from flying real quads?
thanks thats kool job you have im getting a
thanks
8:27 at this point, I couldn't find the ''RadioMas TX16S joystick', the only one that I can see is the 'RadioMas TX16S Mass Storage', could you pls help, what can I do? thanks
@@patrickscott8364 Hello, I did fix this by doing what you did say and following the steps on this video, thank you anyway! :)
with all do respect sir , You are a fucking bad ass for putting together all this info! thank you man!
So how do you do this for MAC’s??
I don't
Is there any reason to change the input settings on the controller? Mine are at 100% and it works great.. would it be loosing precision?
The way I did it in the video is the way I learned a couple years ago on my Taranis. I did some testing both on the TX16s and the Taranis (setting it up like you said), and they both work fine on both radios. I fly better using the old method because I am so used to it, but thank you for calling this to my attention. I would be interested in getting your feedback on trying it the other way and see which one you like better.
Will it be the same for DRL sim ?
I have not used DRL, hopefully someone will chime in.
Hi, does the T16s have M4 or M3 sticks ?
M4
@@xarisrig7561 Thanks
It will be the same with TX16se right?
I have not tested it personally, but I don't see why not.
My zorro was working. Today it sees is inside of game but nothing works. Liftoff. But in velocidrone its still working. WTF!
Thanks bro!!!!!!!
No problem
Any idea for macbook?
Get a PC. KIDDING! Actually I do not know a thing about Macs, however, I thought macs were famous for not having to add additional drivers
@@TahoeSteve=) thank u, i solved the issue my data cable was not working i guess
@@ckhayeet so you were able to connect RadioMaster tx16s to Mac, don't you? I'm currently thinking about buying one, but I'm worrying if it will work with Liftoff.
@@viktormaksymenko2506 yes yes no worries works fine, no need do anything just plug in
@@ckhayeet Awesome, thanks!
Do you know if it will work on Chromebook?
dont see why not.
I'm repeatedly calibrating and fine-tuning in lift off each time I calibrate the throttle keeps moving the yaw or pitch with it and then when pitch it only pitches up and goes up all of the sudden when I push it all the way up, anyone knows why?
how do i set up my tx16s with my macbook pro
Never used a Mac, hopefully someone else will chime in.
you saved my sanity
I'm glad!
YEEEs Thanks a lot!!!
Yep
Yes, much easier now then when I learned how to do it.
Ok, you're a compiler, an aggregator. Someone misplaced (me? Maybe....) my dongle lol. Ok let's go! Please. haha, I need to fly. Thanks. ;) Pretty convincing commercial, but I wasn't shopping. Just wanna fly, but subbing now. Ty.
(
Oh c'mon, "It's all gonna be here, and it's all coming up next .... political ad haha)
No I'm not gonna set my aileron expo to 20% on the radio. You do that in the sim betaflight(!!!!) What am I even watching?? Lol
I guess you are as confused by my video as as I am by your comment
I bought a second hand today. Looking for a simulation method. Thank you for your method.
👍
You could have skipped all the Steam stuff and included all relevant stuff to get this set up properly with button assignments...
Please elaborate???
Nah, it was cool because for many liftoff will be the first time they deal with steam and are clueless. You can always just forward that part if it doesn't pertain to you. Take less than two seconds.
5 commercials 8 min in.
