This is excellent information, I’m currently 4 centimeters dilated and contracting now on my second day but nothing more. Will be trying this with the hopes of having this baby soon 😊 wishing you a speedy recovery.
That’s so exciting congratulations! Labor with my first was 26 hours and my second was three days of intense labor pains until she was finally born, felt like I was walking around with a bowling ball between my legs because her head was so low😂hoping for a fast labor and delivery for you!
He’s adorable. I love his name. Daniel is a good example to follow for sure. Congratulations, and get a good rest. I think you are amazing! God bless you and your precious family. Sheri
You are amazing! I'm so happy for all of you with Daniel's arrival. My last child is named Daniel Patrick but he is an adult now. He was a Marine and is now a Captain with the Police Dept. He has been such a blessing in my life and I wish the same for all of you. Blessings from N. Ga
What’s great story! Moms to be need to hears stories like yours, but I love that you emphasize that this is your story and that every story is your own. I’m way past my “baby days” and natural childbirth and birthing rooms were still fairly new. I planned a home birth but had some other medical problems so I gave birth at the hospital. While in labor all of the staff were great and because they knew I was to have a home birth they bent a lot of the rules for me and back up doctor was awesome. I gave birth to a big boy weighing in at 11.55, with no pain meds and only 4 hours of labor. Everyone has their own story and those stories can and do change from one baby to the next. Expecting moms try to relax and make your birth story your own!
My little girl was born in June, my second baby. I arrived to the hospital at 8am, a check at 8.45am showed I was barely a 1cm. I was a little disheartened having had contractions for 24 hours before, but I stood and relaxed through my contractions. At 9.20am I felt the urge to push! My midwife checked me and there was my daughters head 😬 she was born at 9.29am, 44 minutes after being barely a 1cm. Baby was perfect, I went through transition and delivery very easily and with only a little trauma. I watched Micah’s birth story before my daughter was due and couldn’t believe that you had completely unmedicated birth experience. I had epidural for my first baby and couldn’t imagine being unmedicated. Turns out my body just did it’s thing and I held on tight for the ride!! Huge congratulations on your gorgeous baby boy, his name is beautiful and you look so relaxed and happy :)
love it! I keep thinking about how this birth would have looked in a hospital and I'm sure happy you had midwives there that could help you realize it was a position thing. Thank you for sharing!!
As someone who is hoping to have a large family in God's time I really appreciate hearing birth stories, parenting advice etc. from mothers who already have more children than the average western mom. Thank you for your positive and interesting videos! I have no practical application for this information yet (no kids, not pregnant, but hoping!) but it's still good to know because at some point some of this probably will come in handy :)
The miles circuit is what helped my first baby’s labor, also a Homebirth. I had prodromal labor for 3 days with ZERO sleep because they were coming 10-15 mins. I finally realized she was crooked and couldn’t descend in my pelvis anymore and midwife suggested miles circuit. Halfway through the circuit they picked up to 5 mins and baby girl was born 12 hours later at home. :) I also didn’t want to call my midwife to have it be a false alarm again until I absolutely needed her womanly support at 2 am. She was born at 9:49 am. :) now I’m pregnant with Homebirth baby #3! Congrats, he is beautiful!
My home birth was very similar! I had prodromal labor for 4 days, very little sleep, very frustrating! I decided to do 2 inversions (very similar to Miles Circuit, basically stood on my head, haha) because I suspected that the baby was not aligned properly. And BAM! Within 10 minutes I was in full hard labor, hardly any breaks in between. Baby was born 3 hours later, easily in the water. I love depth of knowledge that midwives have. They know these instinctual things, rather than turning to medical interventions. It's an absolutely amazing and wonderful way to give birth. Congrats!
This is so interesting, Lisa. I never post any comments, but you are the first one who helped me to understand my birth story! My baby girl took 7 days and I ended up having c-section, completely exhausted by pain and lack of sleep. The doctors were unable to explain the stalled birth. I was laboring at home for the most part and did the positions described in the Miles Circuit intuitively, as it brought me the most comfort, but it was certainly not intentional. When I arrived in the hospital, I was at 6 cms (after 7 days), but from then on the birth did not progress, not even after two doses of pitocin. Anyways, this is very helpful, as I always thought is was indeed a matter of positioning. Thank you!
Congrats on your new baby. I’m happy you have a good birth story. My grandma had thirteen babies all at home. I personally only had two. Two boys now 19 and 17. That’s all God intended for me to have. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety now, and I did when they were small I just didn’t know what it was. I feel I couldn’t have handled any more. Your a good mother, I wish I could have been more like you.
Yay yay yay! I'm so happy for all of you! I thought about you several times last week and over the weekend thinking that something had to be happening with your delivery! This is the sweetest! Thank you so much for sharing this time of your life with us all! We are so blessed to get to be a part of it!
Daniel is such a good solid name. The TEDDY PAUL part fills me with bunches of joy! You just can't go wrong with a name like that. Who wouldn't want to be named Daniel Teddy Paul?!?!
Congrats! Wow, what an interesting birth story! It's so true though, this is how women end up exhausted and with c-sections, because they're not given any support in trying to reposition the baby! You should do a video demonstrating the miles circuit when you are healed up. I actually tried looking it up on RUclips in my last labour and couldn't find anything good.
Congratulations, he's beautiful! I like the Amish way of getting labour to progress. The day they start getting contractions they scrub the floor, on all fours. Being on all fours is great for getting baby into the right position and vigorous exercise helps contractions progress quicker. Personally I didn't scrub the floors, but I did go for a power walk around our block combined with pregnancy yoga poses on all fours. It definitely helped me.
I am happy to hear of your positive home birth. Congratulations!! I wanted a home birth 45 years ago when my first Lamaze baby came, but there were no midwives available. The best I could do then was a Lamaze birth positive physician in the hospital with no or minimal medication. And in 1973 in SW Michigan even that was a rarity. I wish I had known about the Miles Circuit during my birthing years. My son was born face up (transverse?) and that is what caused my long labor and difficult birth. I ended up having quite an episiotomy but my 8 lb 2 oz. son with a large head was born without medication - my primary goal. And, he was a month overdue!! I had no idea about having to stay in bed so long. I loved your story, thank you for sharing.
Congratulations! ❤️ This story was so interesting, I've never heard of the miles circuit before! Also I was laughing when you said you laid down all night so you wouldn't have to wake the midwife...that's some real Midwest politeness right there 😂
CONGRATULATIONS!💙 Lisa so happy for you!💙 Love that you promote natural birthing methods and are, always (even in actual labor ), learning the most you can! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 Thank-You to the midwives!!!🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Congrats on your good birth! Each of my eight children were delivered Lamaze and 6 with a mid-wife. Each of my deliveries were different. Glad there are other ladies who work to educate themselves to have a good birth. God bless, Leslie
Sounds exactly like my birth on October 1st. I'd never been checked before in labor either. But baby was stuck 18 hours in and literally came as soon as we did the miles circuit/side lying release. Only his shoulder got stuck as well because he's huge. Lol. Crazy how different each birth for one mom can be sooo different. Thank God for midwives. Congratulations!!
Yes! I loved this birth story! I’ve been checking everyday to see when you would post! Congratulations. You look incredible. What a gift new life is! 💙
Oh thats so nice to hear, your story. Well I am planning home birth, but its first pregnancy so I am just learning about all and trying to prepare mentally for something I never experienced.
Glad everything went well for you . My 5th was similar to yours I had my labor come and go for 2 weeks until at my 40 weeks I read online to sit on the toilet while contracting Facing the back of the toilet to rest the top half of the body. ( Simply placed a pillow on the back of the toilet and took a nap) and that night baby came like yours so quick within an hour I hardly made it to hospital as soon as I got there I pushed the baby right out no one was ready for such a quick labor, but my baby was sure ready to be out.
Beautiful birth story and beautiful boy! Congrats to you and your family! Bet your kiddos are so excited to have a new baby brother! So glad to hear positive home birth stories! I had a twin home birth 7 years ago...boys born 28 hours apart! God bless you and your family!
Loved hearing your birth story! I had my first baby 3 months ago and delivered at a birth center with a midwife. I love hearing other birth stories that are unique + positive. Thanks for sharing!
How truly wonderful! Im not only happy for you and your precious family, but for society! With a family full of love and respect for life, society will be blessed by your beautiful children! God Bless You All!!
You have been so blessed with this new baby. May God continue to bless you with a fast recovery. Love the name and he is adorable. Wish I could hold him.
Love hearing this story facing my second birth. It gives me hope for a smooth VBAC. I’m completely convinced that my first son would have had a vaginal birth if I had known the miles circuit trick. Everything was great except his head/face positioning. And being in the hospital, I was on the clock.
I just found your channel and I’m in love with it! I just had a homebirth two months before yours. It’s amazing the wisdom midwives have. They are a godsend. Loved your birth story!
Ah Lisa what a lovely story. I had a home birth with my last baby and it was the best experience of the 3. You look amazing by the way, I don't know how you do it. Congratulations to both you, Luke and your beautiful family for your gorgeous new addition and thank you so much for sharing. Love, blessings and speedy healing x
Thank goodness you were at home. No doubt that would have been a c-section in the hospital. I wish I had of known that positioning trick with my last. My labor stalled a little like that but after a while my midwife could see his hand by his face and pushed it back out of the way. I tore bad though and my M.D. made a house call for sutures. 🙈 Still it was a wonderful homebirth. Congrats on this precious new one! Thanks for sharing! Enjoy that babe and this time!❤
Congratulations! My son Jonathan was born on October 19 after a somewhat wonky labor, so different from my first 2 labor experiences! I went from really erratic, mild contractions that didn't seem like real labor, to active labor and pushing so fast that the baby came before the midwife arrived! She was there just a few minutes after the birth. Thanks for sharing your story ♥️.
He's adorable. There is something so unique and special of holding tiny newborns. It goes so quickly though. It's a great opportunity to sock up the moment as you rest, and rest you must. I should talk! I'm so restless, so the idea of being in bed would make me climb the wall. lol. Anyhow, maybe in the future you can give us a tutorial on making a simple baby boy romper? Many blessing and congratulations!
This is how both my labors went. First was 58 hours of every 5-10 minutes, second was 43 hours of every 5-10 minutes. It was rough. I was a doula and always so amazed at easy labors since mine are so intense. Great job!
I'm the same way with midwives. Lol. This last labor (baby #4) was super weird compared to my others. Lol. I wasn't convinced I was in labor and was afraid to call the midwife for "nothing" at midnight when I'm sure she was resting lol. My husband insisted. Good thing too because baby was in my arms within an hour of her getting here. I've only had 2 home births but they were completely different from one another. Its amazing to me tho that our bodies can babies know exactly what to do when we give them the right "tools." Congratulations on a beautiful baby boy 💙
My husband and brother are both named Daniel!! He's so sweet, so blonde! What an amazing and encouraging story! I have three kids, all three natural births, and my last two were homebirths. I had a lot of pre labor with my last and she was slightly malpositioned, we figured out. I tried Spinning Babies abdominal lift and tuck exercises after 24 hrs of inconsistent contractions. A few minutes of those and literally, I kicked into intense labor! I was so thankful. I am definitely going to remember this if there's a next time for me!
Oh my goodness he’s so cute!!! 😍😍😍😍 Congratulations!! Thanks for introducing him to us. And thanks for sharing your birth story. I’m considering becoming trained as a birth doula so this kind of thing is incredibly fascinating to me.
I’m glad it all worked out in the end! All of my labors are long and drawn out like that. They usually last 24 hours. With my last I was stuck at a 7-8 for 6 hours until they broke my water and then he was born quickly. I’ve never heard of the miles circuit before so maybe that would have helped! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing the Miles Circuit!! I had a very similar experience with my contractions being 10-20 minutes apart for 14 hours until FINALLY things picked up. I had my second son come out OP (sunny side up) and it was more pain than I ever thought imaginable but it explained why things were slow! Definitely trying this next time around if baby is not in a good position. He is so beautiful congratulations!!
So happy to hear this experience, because my first birth stalled and I always said it was positioning, I was in hospital and opted for a c-section after 4 days of labor and no sleep and indeed it was positioning, shoulder coming with head. If this happens to me in February when baby 2 is coming I will have to try the miles circuit!
I needed Lisa around 29 years ago when I started having children. 😂 ❤️ Absolutely love every video you make. I can only do your podcasts when I’m in the car or doing housework chores where I can’t fix my eyes on a screen. I need the visual with the audio. Thank you for helping me to work things in my home a bit more naturally. I’m not at your level yet (we live in a subdivision…our neighbors wouldn’t take kindly to a cow and chickens 😂) but I’m making bread and fixing meals from scratch as much as I can. I love it.
This is what I should have done (Miles circuit)!! I am definitely going to research that and the Bradley Method next time I am pregnant (God willing)!! Thank you for sharing this, it was so inspiring and peaceful.. You have so much compassion for others despite being in labour.. WOW... What an example.. You set the bar very high :)
Congratulations on the birth of your precious baby boy! So thankful all went well for you & baby. Get some well deserved rest & we see you all in your next video. God Bless you & your family!!!♡
So thankful he is here happy and healthy! Congratulations! I completely understand all the games with labor and not knowing exactly when it has "fully begun" and not wanting to wake your midwife! I always feel the same way! I have had 5 homebirths as well and every single one has been different. I am also a Birth Doula and have never heard of the Miles Circuit! I am studying up on it now. Sounds like what I needed to do with my last one 8 months ago. Thanks for teaching me something!
Hi there you beautiful sweet heart ! Congratulations on your new little angel baby ! He’s just Beautiful . What a sweaty pie ! I’m the retired nurse who told you before that you just looked normal for someone who was going to have a baby . I’ve been watching you every since then so I could know when you had the baby . I’m so very happy for you an your family , what a sweet blessing . You have to look at him an know God is so good ! I was richly blessed too . I had two beautiful children of my own , one a sweet developmentally disabled little boy who’s been the greatest blessing in my life ! One beautiful normal baby girl who’s been the other greatest blessing in my life and I’ve helped raise nine other great children who were not my own too . An they’ve all turned out to be wonderful productive smart beautiful people who have brought many blessings to all the people their world touches . There’s nothing better a mother or father could ask for in children . An this same kind of blessing I wish to you an pray for you an your family also . Congratulations once again much happiness to you all .
Your labor story was very very similar to mine! I had back labor which I didn’t know I was having until after he was born. I was having contractions off and on for nearly 2 weeks. The day the contractions were consistent, it was brutal. I was in active labor for 19 hours but I was in so much pain with each contraction and my contractions also were coupling. I’d have no contractions for 10-15 minutes, then I’d have 3-4 at once. Completely different from my first child who was a breeze. Now that I know what back labor is, I know what to expect because I had no idea before or during which really affected how I was reacting. I felt out of control and the only thing I wish was that my midwife told me what was happening so I could have felt more in control of why labor wasn’t progressing. When he head was coming out, he rotated completely and came out . It was insane! Congratulations 🎊
Congratulations on your precious, new baby boy!!!!! 🎊💕🎉🙏🥰 Glad you were able to have the birth of Daniel at home. I’m sure Danials siblings are thrilled to have another brother. I’m so happy for you and your family. Get plenty of rest and sleep. God bless you and your beautiful family.🥰
My 4 home births were all successful based on the denial method. "I'm not really in labor" makes the labor go by so quickly.
Tessa Meyers definitely trying this method lol
Haha this was just me. It definitely made it fly by until I was like wait I have to push
This is the first option I am now looking into lol (28 wks).
I just had one home birth and it was extremely quick for the same reason 😂😂😂
This is excellent information, I’m currently 4 centimeters dilated and contracting now on my second day but nothing more. Will be trying this with the hopes of having this baby soon 😊 wishing you a speedy recovery.
That’s so exciting congratulations! Labor with my first was 26 hours and my second was three days of intense labor pains until she was finally born, felt like I was walking around with a bowling ball between my legs because her head was so low😂hoping for a fast labor and delivery for you!
Omg that is so exciting. Keep us updated. Hopefully you have your baby soon
I hope baby has arrived safely now Abigail
He’s adorable. I love his name. Daniel is a good example to follow for sure. Congratulations, and get a good rest. I think you are amazing!
God bless you and your precious family. Sheri

that is wild! i am glad that she was born happy & healthy. & thank you!
love it! I keep thinking about how this birth would have looked in a hospital and I'm sure happy you had midwives there that could help you realize it was a position thing. Thank you for sharing!!
Well in a hospital they also might have realized it's a position thing, but their solution would be to strongly recommend a c-section.

This is the sweetest! Thank you so much for sharing this time of your life with us all! We are so blessed to get to be a part of it!
aww, so glad that he is here and that you did well and are resting and healing. What did your other kids think of another boy?
the girls were rooting for another girl to even the playing field, but now that he's here & a boy, they have no complaints ☺️

Well done Lisa you are an inspiration, Daniel is beautiful and you look stunning you are one strong lady
Congratulations! You are an amazing mama and an even more amazing human 💛
Our names are similar!
Tammy B. Haha, cool!!
Congratulations! ❤️ This story was so interesting, I've never heard of the miles circuit before! Also I was laughing when you said you laid down all night so you wouldn't have to wake the midwife...that's some real Midwest politeness right there 😂
I agree 100% Lisa is so thoughtful & pure class!! Congratulations Lisa! Daniel is BEAUTIFUL!! ❤️
Such an wonderful ”everyday” miracle! Congratulations on your beautiful boy!
CONGRATULATIONS!💙 Lisa so happy for you!💙 Love that you promote natural birthing methods and are, always (even in actual labor ), learning the most you can!

Thank-You to the midwives!!!🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
I love the way you talk about labour and birth. It is so positive. Congratulations! Take care.

Midwives are AMAZING 😍 love the name, beautiful wee boy!

Congratulations to both you, Luke and your beautiful family for your gorgeous new addition and thank you so much for sharing. Love, blessings and speedy healing x
Aww...so happy for y’all. Take as much time as you need resting. ❤️to your family and the new baby. What a blessing.

Great job!
congratulations on precious Daniel and mama you look wonderful
So sweet. Thank you. And God bless you all.
Congratulations!!! He is beautiful! Big boy- welcome to the World, Daniel 💙🕊🕊💙
Its amazing to me tho that our bodies can babies know exactly what to do when we give them the right "tools."
Congratulations on a beautiful baby boy 💙
Congrats!!! What a blessing. You rest up and love that little boy. We will be here waiting.
So happy for you!! I’m just about a week away from my home birth and really appreciate hearing other positive stories. Thank you for sharing 💞
Welcome, Daniel! You are blessed with a wonderful family!
Congratulations Lisa!!! I'm so happy for you! May God bless you and your whole family!
Congratulations on birth of your beautiful son! What a joy to see a squirmy, fuzzy new life so fresh from God.
Congratulation's!! Thank you for sharing your journey. I had 4 Bradley births and would have been naive to any other method. So great to know!
Little Daniel is Adorable! May God Bless You and your beautiful family always!♥️
He is beautiful! So happy for you! Blessings to you all!
Congratulations for your beautiful baby! You are such a strong woman!
Oh my goodness he’s so cute!!! 😍😍😍😍 Congratulations!! Thanks for introducing him to us. And thanks for sharing your birth story. I’m considering becoming trained as a birth doula so this kind of thing is incredibly fascinating to me.
Oh my gosh...Daniel is BEAUTIFUL!! So thankful for a wonderful, safe birth!
Congratulations!!!! Daniel is a strong name. Beautiful baby. You rocked it mama. Love how down to earth and real you are.
Love hearing about homebirths! 😍They really need to be normalised again!!
Congratulations! And thank you for sharing your birth story with us!
My Dad, who sadly passed last year, was Teddy Paul! Blessings to your family.
You look so well! Congratulations. I love sharing your journey. Love and hugs to you all. xx
What a wonderful story! I love his name 💙 So happy for you and your beautiful family!
Blessings to you and yours!💙Wrap that belly snug! It's traditional and helps uterus go back into position!
I love it.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Congratulations Lisa! I'm so happy for you!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! God bless your family!
Congratulations. Blessings to you and your family. You and Luke do GOOD WORK!
Awww what a great birth Lisa. Glad it all turned out safe for both. He’s beautiful 🥰
Congratulations once again much happiness to you all .
thank you!
WOW, congratulations! Perfect home delivery!
Congratulations! Daniel is adorable!!
Congrats Lisa and Family!!! I'm so happy for you all!
