I’ve no words beyond: God’s design is amazing. A beautiful story on motherhood and home making. You & Luke have a blessed family. In size (lots of little blessings about) and love. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏻
I love it when people give credit to Our Heavenly Father. He made us to do this even though I must admit I’m a chicken I never had children. I’m a mother to His other creatures Kittens and cats.
@@MrsBotany. @batacumba oh so when you were kids, you didn't help out around the house? you didn't have chores to be complete everyday or each week? you didn't pick up your fair share because your family didn't work as a unite? that's what kids do... they help out, they learn to cook, they learn to clean, they learn to be functioning adults . I've watched a majority of her videos and her daughter loves to be in the kitchen. She commonly makes desserts for fun. A child helping out around the house isn't sad for the child. it's good for them.
@@dietitian.kelseythomas uh, most people these days do not have *eight kids.* That obviously does not represent the average American household. I never said there was anything wrong with the kids helping out around the house but let’s be real here. The oldest is inevitably gonna be stuck with way more than the average amount of responsibility a sibling would have. It’s absurd to pretend otherwise.
I admire your homemaking skills, among other things but loved getting to share your labor journey. My 5 are grown and I now have 5 sweet grandbabies. What a precious gift it is to birth children❤
I have been following you for years, I use all your recipes and all the things. this is my FAVORITE video. Thank you for normalizing God’s design for bringing forth life!
It's so beautiful to see a mother homemaking in one scene and the next scene holding a newborn baby. I hope to be able to stay busy during my labor now that I've gone through a natural birth. Such an inspiring video!
I’m reading Ina May’s book and apparently this is how the Amish birth. They just go about their normal business and then boom! Baby! Very cool! Thank you for sharing 😊
I love seeing such a calm labor. I am 30 weeks pregnant and although I plan to go to a hospital this is the atmosphere that I want to achieve. It's so helpful and inspiring to see a real life example.
I’m a 28 year old woman. Married for one year. No kids yet. About 3ish years ago I started getting more in touch with my feminine side. I was definitely a modern feminist with boss babe mentality. I did not have a mother growing up and missed out on that mother-daughter relationship. Just watching you and your daughter in the kitchen together is so amazing to me. To most it seems trivial but to me it is a dream for me to have that close intimate family bond and I hope I can build that with my husband. You know you’re blessed but thank you for sharing your beautiful life for those of us who haven’t had that example, but know it’s possible.
Hey, just popped here as a feminist to say that feminism and femininity can absolutely go together. I don't know how I ended up on this video, but it was incredibly interesting. I'm a child free city girl, and yet I stuck around because it was refreshing to see a woman completely in charge of her body, her day, her life and in this case her birth experience. This is what feminism is about--choice and happiness.
You realize this IS feminism right? Feminism is a woman's RIGHT to have the choice to do with her life what she chooses is best whether that's staying at home, working or whatever SHE deems fit. For women to have the same rights and opportunities that were always given to men. Stop buying into how the patriarchy has tried to taint feminism.
I think y’all missed the point of my comment. But I won’t focus on the nuances. Modern feminism does not focus on family but rather the individual. I do not support that mentality. The nuclear family is more successful and happier. It’s a fact. I am still a feminist and believe women should be able to do what they want, but the modern take on idealistic individualism is not for me.
I get what you’re saying 100% and agree The individualistic mentality is harmful and sadly modern feminism promotes it. Whether folks like to admit it or not.
I love watching you and Johanna work together in the kitchen. She's so much like you 😊🍕 Congratulations on the birth of baby Victor. You were a real trooper, working through labour by staying busy.
In the modern world we live in today I feel so pressured to be a career woman making money but in my heart this is my ideal life....I love being at home, I love cooking and taking care of my family but my life doesn't permit that. U are TRULY BLESSED🙌
Our life allows me to be home where I want to be and make money. We set a goal for this and worked toward it and have been living that dream together for the last five years. If you want more info...listen to episode 33 of my podcast The Simple Farmhouse Life....maybe it can inspire you to creative ways you could accomplish this type of life. Thanks for following along!
@FarmhouseonBoone thank you. Unfortunately, I'm too ingrained in urban life which I don't particularly like. To uproot now and take off to a suburban location will not only cost a lot of money but it will also be difficult for my husband too. I wish when I was younger I made plans for this😒
I can't even...you are such a strong woman and it is so inspiring to see you be able to handle all of that with grace and poise. I was 18 for only a week when I had my only child, and even now in my 40's thinking back, there is NO way I'd have been that calm and motivated to do anything right up until 2 hours before birth. He is so beautiful and you did amazing! Congratulations to you and your family!
My eighth went very well also, almost exactly like yours :) had her within like 17 min of arriving at the hospital...And just like you, doing outside work, watering flowers up to when it was time to leave. It was such a gift to have that type of labor and birth ❤ Currently expecting number 9, due November 2! Excited and nervous at the same time...I loved hearing your story!!
@@FarmhouseonBoonehi update on how my labor went ...very different than my 8th ❤ but praise God we were in the right place at the right time!! 10 days before my due date (which was Nov 2) l, we were sitting in church Sunday morning and I felt something pop, when I got up there was lots of gushing so I told my husband I think my water broke, but when I got up to go to the bathroom he followed me to tell me I was gushing blood everywhere. From that moment on I instinctively knew I needed a c section asap. It was a miracle that our church was 5 minutes away from the nearest emergency hospital with a labor and delivery. It made all the difference in saving my baby, as the placenta had started coming off the wall due to preeclampsia/high blood pressure. ❤❤ We were able to leave the kids with our church family and rush to the hospital where they did an urgent C-section and just as I was losing the last large amount of blood, the doctor delivered my baby safe and alive. When I arrived at the hospital I was only dilated to 3cm and I wasn't showing signs of active labor which was another blessing because active contractions would have made the placenta come off the uterus even faster which would mean the baby would suffer from lack of oxygen. I am forever grateful for the location I was in. The surgeon who delivered the baby said my intuition to request a c section immediately was the best decision, and the right timing.
Ohhhhh Lord, I so admire your way of living....I never knew it could be this way.... I would've had 20 children if I knew what I know now...give Victor a hug and great Big kiss from me.... this 70 year old would love to hold Victor and love on him.... May God be with you and bless your family ❤
I live vicariously through you with your lifestyle. I have 3 kids, but how lovely it would be to have more... I'm 39, so I think I am at the latter end, but if God were to give us one more - what a blessing! Praise God for Victor! My uncle's name was Victor. :)
Brave Mom, Congratulations on your 8th Baby Victor. I had four natural births at the hospital, not easy. Your whole family is amazing ! Can't wait for the Cookbook
I had my 3rd child (my first girl) at home and the experience was so much better than at the hospital and no episiotomy or drugs. Congratulations to you and your whole family.
I loved watching this! It is so good to show other new moms that you can have a beautiful birth at home. I just had my first baby, at home with midwives and it was a wonderful experience. I coped better through the contractions as time went on, and I am genuinely looking forward to having all of my future babies at home. I want all mommas who want to have their babies at home to feel encouraged that you absolutely can do it. What a beautiful way to witness it. Now I wish I had filmed mine. Welcome to the world sweet Victor!
I highly recommend videographing/photographing your labor/birth process!! My second (last) I just didn't want anyone near me. My first one, anyone could have been in the room. Congrats on your little one!
Precious! Thanks for sharing such a special time! My dr kept me walking when I was in labor, until I couldn’t walk anymore. My deliveries were fast & easy, other than my c-section. 😊❤ God is so good!
I’m a Bradley mom too. This brought back such sweet memories. My babies were born in hospital but with very little assistance. I used the same distraction strategy with #3 simply because I didn’t want to be in the hospital as long as I was with #2. Anyhow, thanks for sharing. This is very special!
@@oanaion4899 you don't know what trauma is lol. Childbirth is a natural thing. We need to get rid of the stigma. If her children decide to have babies they need to know how it happens.
It is good to see that you and your family share the joys of the sacraments of your daily lives together, whether bringing a new baby into the world or cooking for the family or tending the animals or sharing chores or having a beverage and chat together.
With expecting my 1st child this was thrilling and calming. I liked how relaxed and how you still went about your day doing things you enjoy to distract yourself. ❤
I love that you contribute to normalizing birth again. That your daughter is helping you out in the kitchen while you labor in between tasks… This is what labor can be! I hated when people used to try to scare me into ‘the serious nature of labor’, because I was not afraid of labor. I LOVED labor. No, it was not easy… but I loved getting to experience it & feel my body change & work to bring baby earthside. It’s beautiful!
Many women die during childbirth, it is serious. Just because you have survivorship bias because it worked out well for you doesn’t mean women should think it’s nothing to be worried about.
I had prodromal labor for A WEEK before going into full labor with my second. I was EXHAUSTED and i feel like it really affected my initial bonding him. It DID make my total labor shorter though. Congratulations!! He's beautiful ❤
Exactly the same for me with my last pregnancy, number 6 , but once I actually went into it was only 45 minutes, my body was so tired I couldn't even pick my daughter up the next day, she was 10 lbs 6.5 onze though which didn't help 😂
Same with me. Slight contractions started on a monday. This way I couldn't sleep properly anymore and I started eating much less since my hunger disapeared. I gave birth on that friday morning. When labor started I was completely exhausted and it took about 6 hours or so. It was my first girl and - same as with you - I had the impression that bonding wasn't taking place. It took me months to start to recover my physical strength and years to build a lovingvrelationship with my daughter. But it was all worth while. I'm now 53y. and we have 5 kids. I'd do it all over again.❤❤❤
Bravo to you, magnificent lady!!👏👍🏻👌❤❤❤ You handle pregnancy, labor and indeed motherhood in the most beautiful, wholesome way I can imagine...well done!!

All 6 of mine have caused prodormal labor. From week 32-42. Yes, all of mine have been 41-43 weeks carried. Upside is, actual labor has been under 30 minutes for all 6, with no real warning. Four have been unassisted homebirths, and two were oops baby popped out in the delivery room. I love all aspects of pregnancy and birth, and post partum, sans the afterpains. You remind me so much of how I process labor as well. Just live life, have a baby, keep living. It's how it's meant to be. Life doesn't stop, it just gets more exciting.

Wow, just WOW. What an incredible portrayal of birth. Very matter of fact, no drama. "I am having a baby today but id like to get lunch on the table first." "ok pizzas are done.. it's go time" lol again just WOW! Congrats, so precious!
I find that kinda sad. You don't need to have drama, but at least don't make it sound like having your baby is just any process like making lunch. Feels a bit sad and unimportant as an occasion
I’ve only had two but both with a midwife and with the second, I labored at home, just doing normal things until I was in that intense focus stage. I agree with you. Being normal and moving around through as much of labor as possible works best for me as well. Congratulations on your new babe!
Many blessings to you and Luke. So happy Victor has arrived. You and your husband walk the path of faith and respect for family and marriage.God Bless you.
What a beautiful thing you have shown us, so many lessons to take from this. The one I’m loving is that Ruthie doesn’t enjoy cooking and that’s fine with you, you let her be who she is. Johanna has that natural gift and you acknowledge it. I know Ruth has other natural gifts, as do all your children, I’m sure. Thank you for sharing that. And congratulations on that precious doll of a baby!
I applaud you. With my last I was literally on hands and knees in the front yard trying to crawl my way to the car. And you’re out here making mozzarella 😂
I’m so glad you mentioned the timeline at the end!😂 I’m thinking, my gosh, this woman is a beast! She cooked in the kitchen until 2 hours before birth and now she’s in the kitchen again immediately after! ❤❤
All the baby birthing sisters! So cool. I loved seeing how you were distracting yourself and working hard but laying down then smiling in between contractions. That is amazing you were able to have a home birth for your children to be able to be there with you after you birth. That is really wonderful. I love it.
Simply beautiful! What a precious time with and for your family. Love how intuitive they all are as you progress. Welcome, Victor. Thank you for sharing this peak 😊
You have an absolutely beautiful family. Love your lifestyle so much. Big families are becoming so obsolete, and you make it look so easy. May God bless you with so much grace and guidance 🙏
Oh Lisa! Thank you for sharing this! It’s so inspiring and encouraging! You don’t make it seem scary! You make it seem normal, real, chill, calm, happy, content, grateful - I’m so blessed by this video!
I loved seeing you labour so calmly. I was unable to have my first at home because I was so stressed, but I did give birth with my midwife at a birthing centre.
I just can’t get over how much your oldest daughter has been helping out lately!!!!! Makes me so excited for motherhood and to have a large family ❤
Yeah, the poor kid has no choice but to help because her parents had so many children.
Sad for the kid. Forced into parenthood as a child, because the parents have more kids than they can care for independently.
@@batacumbaLisa has spoken about how one daughter likes to make things in the kitchen and the other daughter doesn't, and she doesn't force her to.
It sure is!
The part I got teary was when your sister peeked in 🥹 that genuine excitement and love of such a priceless supporter ❤️
I get what you’re saying 100% and agree
The individualistic mentality is harmful and sadly modern feminism promotes it. Whether folks like to admit it or not.
What a fantastic comment. Hopefully one day it'll be you and your daughter baking together 🌻🌻
I love watching you and Johanna work together in the kitchen. She's so much like you 😊🍕
Congratulations on the birth of baby Victor.
I wish when I was younger I made plans for this😒
His cry made me cry!! 🥺❤️ You’re amazing Lisa! Such an inspiration for younger homemaker mamas ❤️
if only I had a fraction of your organization skills. But you inspire me to keep practicing
You can do it!
First time births are usually more intense and longer. Don't compare 😘
I absolutely love this labor and birth story! So glad you share this! People are so afraid of this miracle we are designed to do!
Congratulations!
You. Are. Amazing. My heart swells knowing there are people like you in this world. Blessings to you and your family ❤
Your daughters are so blessed to have you with them everyday. You teach them so many valuable women skills that most young ladies today won't. ❤
I had 4 Bradley babies. They are now 36 - 47 years old. Each one was different. Listening to your body is essential. Thanks for sharing your story.
What a gift for your daughter to see you laboring so beautifully
This was just beautiful. I wish all pregnant mums to be, a birth like this!❤
It's so magical to see that moment with the kiddos around you and happy about their new baby brother. You're all trully blessed!
I live vicariously through you with your lifestyle. I have 3 kids, but how lovely it would be to have more... I'm 39, so I think I am at the latter end, but if God were to give us one more - what a blessing! Praise God for Victor! My uncle's name was Victor. :)
Don't count yourself out...I was 46 with my last baby...ages of me: 19, 25, 38, 43&46...maybe 1 more??
@@melindahernandez1224 oh wow, what a blessing! If it could do it again, I would have more!
Brave Mom, Congratulations on your 8th Baby Victor. I had four natural births at the hospital, not easy. Your whole family is amazing ! Can't wait for the Cookbook
What a beautiful picture of how home birth can go…what a gift for your family and especially your daughters for when they have children ❤
Thank you so much for making motherhood look so beautiful again ❤ much love and blessings to you and all your family.
I’m a Bradley mom too. This brought back such sweet memories. My babies were born in hospital but with very little assistance. I used the same distraction strategy with #3 simply because I didn’t want to be in the hospital as long as I was with #2. Anyhow, thanks for sharing. This is very special!
Your children are truly blessed to learn about the beauty of natural childbirth. Nobody is a better teacher! 😊
You mean be traumatized?
@@oanaion4899 you don't know what trauma is lol. Childbirth is a natural thing. We need to get rid of the stigma. If her children decide to have babies they need to know how it happens.
@@spacebar9733 you are mentally ill if you think CHILDREN should be subjected to witnessing their mother giving birth. Disgusting!
Such a beautiful family and a wonderful story. You are an incredible woman. I admire you in so many ways.
Thank you so much!
BEAUTIFUL... nothing nearer to real hapiness on the world ... a family with a devoted mother
Currently experiencing the pains of PMS and just...in awe of this process. The amount of peace is incredible.
Lisa! Your videos are so heartwarming and positive! I’ll be 60 years old in a few weeks, and love you and your family and life style. You make childbirth lovely and natural. You were outside clipping flowers from your cutting garden and arranging them! I loved this! My heart is so full for you and your family. You’re really a beautiful person, Lisa. God bless you!!
What a blessing it is to get to share in such a sweet, innocent day in your family's life.
Congratulations to you all! Our newest grandaughter is 4 weeks old today and we're just absolutely in love with her. It's cool to know that your sweet baby Victor, is the same age as she is. ❤
I sure do miss these days when my three boys were this little.
Lisa, thank you for just being you. You are real and inspiring, not pretentious, just down to Earth and a beautiful person. I'm so glad I found your channel a few months back so I can follow your journey. ❤
Your title to this video is perfect. Childbirth is ordinary and beautiful and so very special. Thank you for sharing a peak at your special day.
Aww Lisa, thank you for sharing this miracle. I have missed you! Your sister has been in baby heaven ❤
My 4th baby is due in Jan and videos like this are EVERYTHING. I know I’m not alone in this (even tho everyone thinks I’m crazy for doing this too) 💛💛💛
Your daughter’s going to be such an amazing mom. You’re an angel.
I also ran into this video by accident. So glad I did. Congratulations on the new baby!
Gosh that new born baby cry just melts your heart.
So loved todays vlog.. in every way.. you girls ..sisters.. daughters are such a blessing to this community.. Truly an inspiration in a unique..peaceful and godly manner...thank you all!!
Thank you so much 😊
You're a brave woman.
Your kitchen is so clean and beautiful.
1.8M views. Impressive number.
What an amazing video, you got me crying. I had 6 kids, my baby is now 20 and with her it was also a great help to keep going with my homemaking until it was time for labor.
Every young girl needs a role model mother or aunt or something like you in regards to most things but especially birth . You are an inspiration !when I was researching having my first baby at home last year yours was one of only videos I found that was helpful so thank you 😊 as I prepare for another home birth in October I will remember your distraction techniques and your grace in accepting the reality of what you’re facing, and to let it happen 😊
Your body knows how to do this! Relax and let it.
❤ this! How wonderful to see your daughter helping you!
What a strong woman you are!! Thank you for sharing these moments!! God bless your family!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
What a precious memory and wonderful example of labor! Thank you for sharing. Congratulations!
Totally precious ❤️ beautiful video 🥰 tears of joy! I'm remembering my son's birth today is his 38th birthday 🎉 I sure wish I would have a video of his birth story 🤗 beautiful job your family all there helping and celebrating his special day
Wow, just WOW.
Feels a bit sad and unimportant as an occasion
thank you so much!
@@CP-qn3tuI find this odd too, having a baby is a big deal…
Thank you!!
There is nothing more beautiful then a brand new born baby. Congratulations 😊
This video is the most precious thing I have ever watched. Showing your homemade pizzas and then your baby boy cries is amazing. Congratulations!
Thank you so much!!
I applaud you. With my last I was literally on hands and knees in the front yard trying to crawl my way to the car. And you’re out here making mozzarella 😂
I’m so glad you mentioned the timeline at the end!😂
I’m thinking, my gosh, this woman is a beast! She cooked in the kitchen until 2 hours before birth and now she’s in the kitchen again immediately after! ❤❤
Victor is precious❣️ Love your family life🌸
All the baby birthing sisters! So cool. I loved seeing how you were distracting yourself and working hard but laying down then smiling in between contractions. That is amazing you were able to have a home birth for your children to be able to be there with you after you birth. That is really wonderful. I love it.
Jumping in again to say you go Lisa, taking the sourdough bread with you on a journey to see your sister, brilliant❤
I loved watching this little peak into Baby Victor's arrival. You are amazing Lisa! Your kids are so lucky to have you as their mom ❤
Congratulations on your new little fella! 💙 love lots of kiddos! Such blessings!
Thank you so much!
Oh Lisa! Thank you for sharing this! It’s so inspiring and encouraging! You don’t make it seem scary! You make it seem normal, real, chill, calm, happy, content, grateful - I’m so blessed by this video!
What an inspiring uplifting video. You have a beautiful family.
Thank you so much!
I loved seeing you labour so calmly. I was unable to have my first at home because I was so stressed, but I did give birth with my midwife at a birthing centre. My second was born at the hospital with a doctor because he came 6 1/2 weeks early. I'm sorry that RUclips wasn't a thing at the time, I would have loved some of the wisdom that I get from the more knowledgeable friends on RUclips 😅.
He’s so precious ❤
