My 24 year old daughter is getting married Saturday and I watch you remembering her homework time in the kitchen with me cooking/baking. She would finish homework before the other children because she’s so smart and immediately go help teach someone else to help them finish homework quickly too. Great job! ❤

It is wonderful when you have chores that you know by heart and your body and mind work together to do them on auto-pilot. It becomes a kind of zen or meditative activity. Fresh tomatoes are one of the great treats of a long summer season. No matter how good a tomato sauce of one type or another is, it will never beat a plain old fresh tomato. Theo was so proud to hand you the picked pepper. So cute. It's delightful to see that your kids all get to mix schoolwork & chores & playtime within each day.

Hun you can check the health of your eggs by doing the float test ,
Fill a medium sized deep bowl with water 3/4s full with water. Then one by one checking in between each egg 🥚 testing if it floats discard it . If it sinks and stays sink keep it . 👍 the kids will love this task .
As the egg gets past it’s used by date it will build with gas . Making it lighter causing it to float to the top of the water .
The fresh eggs are heavy so they will stay in bottom of the water . Once you’ve mastered this technique of checking your eggs this way , there will be no more guess work needed hun .

I am so wishing I could have your kitchen work table, unfortunately my kitchen is small. When I make stuffed peppers I like to put some shredded cheese in the bottom, then fill with the mixture and put more on top! I do the same with taco’s, putting cheese in the bottom of the hard shell or even on the flour tortilla keeps the shells from getting soggy and prevents the juice running down your arm.

If you ever have a ton of shredded cheese again you need to make German Käse-Spätzle! Käse is just German for cheese and Spätzle are a specific type of noodle that you usually make by hand. They are insanely tasty on their own when handmade and one of the most popular ways to eat them is with a little onion and lots of shredded cheese, kind of like mac'n'cheese. I'm sure you'll find recipes in English for making it. It's so good!

Here in the Netherlands, we put cheese in de freezer if we have too much of it.
We usually buy cheese by the kilo in large blocks.
We grate it, or make slices and put it in the freezer.
It might be an option for your abundance of cheese.
Saying hi from the Netherlands 🤗❤️

I make what I call unstuffed green peppers, the peppers are chopped and put into the hamburger towards the end of browning the burger everything is mixed together or I make unstuffed pepper soup. So delicious when your feeling lazy or don't have much time.

Would love to see some of those big windows open during this beautiful weather. Breezes blowing soft curtains are a farmhouse .
