  • In today's video I run the Vancouver Police Department's Peace Officers Physical Abilities Test or POPAT for short. This is my next stage in the application process to the Police Department. This is my first practice run of the course and I came in with a time of 4:09. In order to move forward an applicant needs a minimum of 4:14. So while I'm happy that I could technically qualify with this time I need to work on a few things in order to shave off some more seconds and be more competitive!! Let's do this!!

You have good self control. If it was me doing this, I would probably plant right into the mirror after those jumps or crash through the window after the sharp turns... 🤣

Well in my actual test I rolled my ankle :P so I may not have the best self control after all lol!!

Hey I was wondering, do you think it’s overkill that I train by running 10k most days and working out almost every other day?
Great video btw new subscriber 👌

I suppose it depends on how your body responds to it. If you feel strong and fresh most days you're doing alright. If you are sore, stiff, in pain you are probably overtraining. Make sure you are doing mobility and recovery work as needed.
