You can be 100% responsible for your loved ones but unless you are there 100% of the time, which is impossible unless you and your family live completely isolated then most of the time, you won't be with your loved ones. Now, whether or not a politician cares about me, if they are against defunding the police then they get my vote because that means a little less I have to worry when my loved ones are out in public. Not caring or being involved with politics is ignorant.
I was investigated under the PATRIOT ACT in 2024. I am a vet and all my money comes from V.A. benefits. Great lesson here. There's never a time of complete peace or safety. Don't get too comfortable. Using the next 2-4 years to advance your family's preparedness is the best thing you can do. Continue to set reachable preparedness goals for your family, budget, and check them off one by one. Just as our ancestors used the summertime to prepare for the winter. Use the good times to prepare for the hard times. Because the hard times will always come back around.

@@TacShooter My Father in Law also lived through Reagan and was a contractor and drywall finisher. He saw first hand how Reagan destroyed the economy and the housing market. The company his father had founded was working on a new house everyday of the work week, regular people could afford to build relatively nice to modest homes, but a few years after Reagan it came to a halt. All of a sudden, regular people couldn't afford to build homes anymore and they were just building massive homes for rich people. This eventually changed by the late 90s but then it all crashed again in 2008. Guess who fixed that... Obama. His business was thriving from 2010-2017, then it fell off again after Trump. It started thriving again around late 2021 to early 2022. Well guess what now... calls have slowed down since the election. People are already gripping their purses close after the Trump election. Republican presidents are terrible for the economy. Obama will go down as one of the best presidents, because regardless of the fact that he is a war criminal, as most presidents are, he saved us from 30 years of bad republican policy, saved the housing market, and saved the American automotive industry. It only took Trump 4 years to completely wreck our thriving economy, which has bled over in to Biden's presidency. Sadly, we needed a younger and more full of life democratic president to completely fix Trump's mess, but Biden did pretty good given the fact that he is a center right 80 year old. It's mind boggling that anyone would want a second Trump term when he increased our national debt more than any other president and made the US a laughing stock to the rest of the world.

The overall message of this video is true. That’s why I’ve been a “prepper” since the 1980’s. But while there are times when no one is coming to save you, it’s far better to build a world where we have strong community and we save each other. That’s how to best live together in peace and prosperity. While I’m a strong supporter of our 2A rights, I understand that if I actually need to exercise that right for something other than self defense or sport, we have fundamentally failed as a civilized society. If you have actually read “The Art of War”, you understand that the use of violence isn’t a demonstration of strength, but rather a failure of achieving goals using intellect.

I’m 75 here. I’ve always been a survivalist to some degree. I’m a retired military helicopter flight engineer, I’ve been through many survival schools and many combat exercises plus I was in Vietnam for 2 years. I still attend carbine and pistol classes and found that for me this is the very best way to meet like minded people. I’m not a church goer but have started to focus on my spiritual wellbeing the last few months, not quite there yet but I’m working on it. Trumps not perfect but I feel we’re much better off now.

when you go to SERE, when they take you out into what ever terrain in the back of a truck and then "stop for a break," immediately disappear from the group and as is much as possible never let them locate you and dont worry how long it takes, the longer the better, find a population and blend in, get a job till they find you. some of the instructors will be pissed but the 3 letter agencies will take note

Even though I'm a Republican, I'm terrified about these next four years. If you think a "Billionaire" that's had 6 bankruptcies and shits in a gold toilet cares about you and your family... You really need to do some soul searching and/or read a book. That being said, this was a great video. One thing I would definitely recommend is to get out of your comfort zone and get out of your social media echo-chamber. You'll quickly realize from researching and listening to the "other side" things aren't actually as bad as your side makes it out to be. And, I know this will be shocking to some, but politicians lie and tell you to be worried about problems that don't actually exist. I'm more of the mind that we have maybe 2 years and not 4 years in which to firm up our plans and skills. As we pick up speed as society either rolls down hill (or as we circle the drain, whichever analogy you prefer) the hopes we have for the 4 year presidential election cycle seems to have shortened to 2 years for the congressional elections. Now we are hearing, and rightly so in many ways, that Trump has only about 100 days to make or break his second term. The cycle of change in modern society keeps speeding up. This is likely to continue right up until the wheels come off this cart.
Anything I've purchased for myself, I also purchased for my adult children, so they will have the tools. Now finding the time to teach/learn is the most valuable and limited resource.

In regards to the Biolab in GA, I live 2 hours from Atlanta where it happened and the on ground communication and alerts were super misleading at first. People thought it was a Biological Laboratory, but it was a pool supply company as it turns out. They had a chlorine fire that dumped at ton of chlorine into the air and made the whole city smell like an indoor pool
Yeah, I live in East Atlanta so about 15 miles from there and it smelled like chlorine here for a few days. Most people hear Bio-Lab and think biological without realizing how much stuff a company that size is into. All the alerts were very vague and that made some people here freak out
The biggest thing I struggle with is finding the community of like minded individuals. I'm also in rural Tennessee and being someone that's not of faith it really alienates me when people find this out. The first question is always what church do you go to and people around here don't like the non religious type. They don't want to talk to me until their truck or car breaks down and I'm the only master tech in the area lol
I adhere to an unorthodox religion. My advice is keep your non Christian faith (or lack of faith) a secret and work with the neighbors you have. Pick a church and build from there.

It's funny I have hit a age where I get to see the boomers above me in their 80s and 90s dying off and leaving behind tons of "prepper" gear they never got to use. I often wonder in 30 years when I get to see my own generation do the same. Too old to carry the plates and the rifles they invested so much into. To frail to carry a 60lb backpack for more than a few hours. We all should be far more invested in keeping what our grandparents built alive and functioning.

Great lesson here. There's never a time of complete peace or safety. Don't get too comfortable. Using the next 2-4 years to advance your family's preparedness is the best thing you can do. Continue to set reachable preparedness goals for your family, budget, and check them off one by one. Just as our ancestors used the summertime to prepare for the winter. Use the good times to prepare for the hard times. Because the hard times will always come back around.

The company his father had founded was working on a new house everyday of the work week, regular people could afford to build relatively nice to modest homes, but a few years after Reagan it came to a halt. All of a sudden, regular people couldn't afford to build homes anymore and they were just building massive homes for rich people. This eventually changed by the late 90s but then it all crashed again in 2008. Guess who fixed that... Obama. His business was thriving from 2010-2017, then it fell off again after Trump. It started thriving again around late 2021 to early 2022. Well guess what now... calls have slowed down since the election. People are already gripping their purses close after the Trump election. Republican presidents are terrible for the economy. Obama will go down as one of the best presidents, because regardless of the fact that he is a war criminal, as most presidents are, he saved us from 30 years of bad republican policy, saved the housing market, and saved the American automotive industry. It only took Trump 4 years to completely wreck our thriving economy, which has bled over in to Biden's presidency. Sadly, we needed a younger and more full of life democratic president to completely fix Trump's mess, but Biden did pretty good given the fact that he is a center right 80 year old. It's mind boggling that anyone would want a second Trump term when he increased our national debt more than any other president and made the US a laughing stock to the rest of the world.

I’m 75 here. I’ve always been a survivalist to some degree. I’m a retired military helicopter flight engineer, I’ve been through many survival schools and many combat exercises plus I was in Vietnam for 2 years. I still attend carbine and pistol classes and found that for me this is the very best way to meet like minded people. I’m not a church goer but have started to focus on my spiritual wellbeing the last few months, not quite there yet but I’m working on it. Trumps not perfect but I feel we’re much better off now.

when you go to SERE, when they take you out into what ever terrain in the back of a truck and then "stop for a break," immediately disappear from the group and as is much as possible never let them locate you and dont worry how long it takes, the longer the better, find a population and blend in, get a job till they find you. some of the instructors will be pissed but the 3 letter agencies will take note

I'm more of the mind that we have maybe 2 years and not 4 years in which to firm up our plans and skills. As we pick up speed as society either rolls down hill (or as we circle the drain, whichever analogy you prefer) the hopes we have for the 4 year presidential election cycle seems to have shortened to 2 years for the congressional elections. Now we are hearing, and rightly so in many ways, that Trump has only about 100 days to make or break his second term.
The cycle of change in modern society keeps speeding up. This is likely to continue right up until the wheels come off this cart.

In regards to the Biolab in GA, I live 2 hours from Atlanta where it happened and the on ground communication and alerts were super misleading at first. People thought it was a Biological Laboratory, but it was a pool supply company as it turns out. They had a chlorine fire that dumped at ton of chlorine into the air and made the whole city smell like an indoor pool
Yeah, I live in East Atlanta so about 15 miles from there and it smelled like chlorine here for a few days. Most people hear Bio-Lab and think biological without realizing how much stuff a company that size is into. All the alerts were very vague and that made some people here freak out

I'm also in rural Tennessee and being someone that's not of faith it really alienates me when people find this out. The first question is always what church do you go to and people around here don't like the non religious type. It's funny I have hit a age where I get to see the boomers above me in their 80s and 90s dying off and leaving behind tons of "prepper" gear they never got to use. I often wonder in 30 years when I get to see my own generation do the same. Too old to carry the plates and the rifles they invested so much into. To frail to carry a 60lb backpack for more than a few hours. We all should be far more invested in keeping what our grandparents built alive and functioning.

Respectfully, how do you break down the systemic failures of every president since Reagan, and then in the same breath get excited for the incoming administration? You quite literally showed the pattern and then when given the next sequence you expect it to be…different? How do you get so close to “getting it” and then miss the mark that hard?
