The challenge with the cartel is proximity. They will use innocent civilians for leverage and take hostages. Not to mention they also have eyes and ears in our countries.

I retired from law enforcement several years ago after a 33 year career between two agencies. The cops they're hiring today are not what they were looking for when I got hired in 1987. And the cancerous DEI is rampant in many local governments. I too have had dealings in my retirement years with several officers who do not respect their constitutional oath or the rights of those they serve. One such incident in Cape Coral occurred when I was looking at homes for sale in a neighborhood where a Cape Coral, FL, sergeant lived. He thought I was doing something else and regardless of the fact I had broken no laws, he tried to run me off the road with his POV before following me out of the neighborhood and into an adjoining jurisdiction where he called and (lied) told them I was following him even though I was never behind him. Then I was stopped by the Ft. Myers Police for no reason at all so this officer could find out who I was and further harass me. I had it all on video and had an independent witness, yet the Captain of their Internal affairs wouldn't even take my complaint, and in fact threatened to arrest me, but couldn't tell me what for.
I'm born nd raised in Chicago. My dad is a retired Chicago cop. At 10 yrs old my friend nd i would take the bus to Wrigley before game time to get players autographs as they walked into the park. Then hop back onto the bus back home. My parents gave me money to go. It boggles my mind how secluded kids are today. So dependant on the parents to take them everywhere.
Same. Born and raised in Detroit. Rode the bus, walked the streets. Crackheads, crazy people, abandoned houses and buildings galore. Nobody messed with us
Same here. I grew up here in Phoenix and I was all over the place on my bike. Rode across town to get a phx suns players autograph at his house. At about age 12. Also my first professional baseball game i ever attended was at Wrigley field back in the 90's. Cubs vs Dodgers
Dr William Forstchen, who wrote "One Second After", also wrote a book called "Day Of Wrath" about ISIS hitting multiple schools. They had secondary teams to hit the parents when they showed up at the schools.

In Chicago, there are children 11-14 year of age being arrested in epidemic like numbers for joyriding in stolen vehicles and then are immediately release into their parents custody. How many of those parents are facing jail time for child endangerment?
Yeah, the lack of parenting in this country is out of control. But a lot of those kids don't even have parents, the fathers all left and the mothers are out working 3-5 jobs.
I have to say, those kids should be charged. It was normal here for quite some time for kids as young as 10 to be charged for crimes, and even executed.
I guess my mom would be in jail in the 70's. I wasn't at the checkout when she said to be there so she left. I had to walk about a mile home. I always made sure to meet her at the checkout after that.

We don't need a law forcing us to use seat belts in motor vehicles. If a person chooses not to wear one, knowing the potential risks by not wearing a seat belt, that's their choice! Seat belt laws are just another form of digging into and removing our personal freedoms. Speed limit laws I can see the need but, seat belt laws...no. Now, should they be used? I would say yes. Should there be laws to force the use? No.
I'd do it from the insurance end. No seatbelt = no coverage. As it stands right now, the insurance company (or court if you go to trial) can lower your compensation if you weren't wearing a seatbelt, but that's kind of a soft approach. Of course, we also have DBs who dont have insurance, but thats on them.
We are in a sad state of affairs. The left has been at it for decades, dating back into the 50s but recently was projected much more once the 70s came. Was raised in the 50s through the early 70s. Doors left unlocked, car & home. By the time I was 7-8 years old, I was all over the neighborhood in a SE Alaskan town, fishing, mountaineering, camping, boating, etc.. Once I was into my 11 plus years, I'd be gone from home during the summer out to a buds house, unsupervised for sometimes a week. We had just installed a phone when I was around 7-8 years old. I might call my folks to let them know I was ok. If we screwed up, dad would usually let it go for some time before sitting us down to re-align us.
