Can you use Bernat blanket yarn for these mitts? If yes what size hook would you use?
Hello. Yes you can use your yarn. It is the same bulky. So use the same size of crochet hook 😉
Do you think it's possible to do this pattern if I use baby blanket yarn and use a bigger hook + crochet less rows? I'm trying to make these for a snow bunny costume, so I want them to be super fluffy! Thanks in advance!
Hello, yes you can do it like this ;) you have to try it because of size but it is possible 🙂

You said chain 7 for the thumb hole but then in the next round, you said place 6 sc in the chain. Is it 6 or 7?

Hello, you´ll need two balls of yarn ;)
Do you join after each round? Chain 1?
I don´t but it is up to you if you want you can finish each round with ss and start each round with ch1 :)

Hello, you'll need one ball of each but it's better to have two balls of chenille yarn just in case. You can make a mistake for example..😊

Hello, you can use smaller size of crochet hook ;) I did not try the smaller size yet but I would use smaller size of crochet hook..

You say to start with 7 sc in magic circle then round 2.. 2 sc in each and you should have 16 scs. This doesn't sound right.
Because it is magic circle and chain 1. This chain you have to count like sc. So 7 plus 1 is 8. In next round 16..
