    Beautiful design! And I love that you hold your hook and your yarn the exact same way that I do. I learned this from my Gr. Gramma, watching her from the time I was a little girl, back in the 1950s. 💜

      @@charmann9600 what I did was start off with the basics of the pattern. Then once I crocheted up my hand half way, I just chained the number of stitches needed for palm down side and slip stitch to where the cables start. I continued the pattern process from there going up the fingers as the pattern goes. I would put a button in the center of the palm and then a chain loop on the attached flip side to keep closed. I love how mine turned out

    Beautiful pattern! I got lost in thumb section. My hole was too small so I broaden it by 2 stiches when leaving 5 to do the thumb hole. What should I do in next rows? Should I follow those stiches, leave them or what else? :)

    • @dragonbright
      @dragonbright Год назад +1

      I went up a hook size for the body, it helped with the thumb hole... But honestly It's still a bit snug. I hate that she said see if the thumb fits and because it fit on her she kept going without explaining what to do if it doesn't!

    Great video. One problem - my seam keeps drifting. Don't understand how yours stays in a straight line, any tips appreciated!

    • @millie9490
      @millie9490 3 года назад +1

      My seam used to drift too. Always make sure your stitch count is correct. When you sls to join the round, you’ll chain one and then your first stitch will also be in the same stitch that you just slip stitched in. Hope this helps!

    What do you mean "you really want to be familiar with your front post stitches before attempting this pattern."?
    This pattern is beautiful! I wish I had time to make the hat and mittens for presents this year but I'll definately be making some for next year!

    • @briannadickson8117
      @briannadickson8117 3 года назад +1

      Look up how to do front post stitch. It’s a little tricky. You really make to make sure
      Your comfortable with every stitch when making a new pattern. I’ve learned from experience if you aren’t familiar with the stick it makes it really hard!

    • @shelleycallahan3319
      @shelleycallahan3319 3 года назад +1

    • @millie9490

      Extended single crochet stitch. Insert hook into stitch, yo, pull up, yo pull through one loop, yo pull through last two loops.
