I have 35 on my YT Jeffsy and 31 on my commencel HT, and I never even noticed before I tried to swap the bars without swapping the stem, even though I have been riding both for over 1 year. Makes me believe it marketing BS. Also, stiffness is far from everything. Compliance on the bars is super important to avoid arm pump.
Been riding 31.8 carbon lite and 50mm Apex for 2 years and just switch last week to 35mm anvl carbon bars/50mm stem and YES there is a difference! Tad stiffer and less vibration.it gave me more confidence to smash more through rocks, roots and fast corners. Confidence inspiring more than anything! Cant wait to do more smashing at RRiver and Tiger Mtn!
I agree completely! Hence why I never use them. But I thought I would give it a try. Also I always keep an extra set of bars in my car incase me or someone I'm with breaks a bar. :)
Great comparison! Short and with all the information you need! Your purple pedals are kind of hurtin my eyes! Lol, but they also give a nice touch to your bike! Great vid again! Love your enthusiasm!
Haha those darn purple pedals! I had to grab a set the night before and I gave away my old ones with the intention of getting new ones earlier in the week. Went to the LBS after work friday to find the only OneUp pedals they had left were display and purple! hahaha. Just waiting for my new set of Stamps to get in. When they get here I will give away these beautiful Purple Pedals to one of you fine people. haha. Thanks for the comment!
@@Mesa3077Boogie Thats the peddles i'm using at the moment! such good pedals for the price! Ps it was not the pedals that made me crash lol just worn tires and bad line choice. :)

What's the music you use at 1:02? Great video btw.
Which location and trail was this?

I saw a video on bike radar yesterday saying 35mm was stiffer than 31.8
Like realistically It makes sense. Wider diameter should be stiffer. Think I need to use a bar with a closer riser to my old one.
100% correct!
I feel like I crash too much for carbon bars. Seen a couple of other RUclipsrs break carbon bars on trail rides
would buy them either. Much to expensive and they probably break to often. Seen to many pics about carbon. Its the same with frame and rims...

Do you ever feel so fortunate that a branch didn't impale your eye socket when you smoke a tree head on?
Everyday! Thats why I changed the purple pedals out!
@@BenYorkeMrHardtail were they not grippy enough? I went with the oneup composites and they are very grippy!

I believe it was a 25mm rise
@@BenYorkeMrHardtail okay ! thanks 👊 my handle bar now is 30mm rise i want to try 10mm
Better 35 or 31.8?
31.8 alloy all day!!! hands down! :)
Yeah bro me to i feel better 31.8 so fast handling n responsif but 35 better for rockgarden n root so smoth vibration ...
