This is one my favorite tracks from Chrono Cross.
Something that most people don't notice about the original ingame music is that it had the sound of fingers rubbing against the strings of the guitar, you know, when changing position and those sounds were put there on purpose.
If you access the sound data of the game it doesn't have the songs there but only the individual sounds that are then put together by the playstaion like a MIDI music. It shows how Yasunori Mitsuda and his sound team were meticulous about this soundtrack, even these sounds were carefully put in place to make the song sound exactly the way it did.

DarkZholt Yes I loved that they put that in there. It's called "streaking" or guitar streaking. It added such a natural feel, cause that's what the ear is used to hearing. 🙂✌
Yea..... And FYI, this soundtrack (and most of Chrono cross OST) was used in my national television channel as their sound track for the most of their program.

this is one of my favorite tracks in Chrono Cross! hearing this makes me remember the time I spent back then when I was playing the game, I often went to Guldove just to hear the music :')
I know it's probably a little late for requests, but I'd love for you to do more Chrono Cross music. I love your style and I think it's a great match for Mitsuda's. A few obvious picks would be Time's Scar, Star Stealing Girl, and Termina (Another World, for dat jaw harp), and I'd sacrifice as many virgins as needed to hear any of them performed by you. If nothing else, I hope you keep doing what you do, as it brings hours of joy to myself and others regardless of whether or not you read the comments. And, let's be honest, who really wants RUclips comments anymore?

OMG I happened by chance to look upon your channel again (PoopPoopFart is probably the funnest thing I've ever had the pleasure of typing into the search bar xD) and to discover one of my all-time favorite videogame tunes ever is just fantastic beyond words. Ever since I gave up my journey as a music major three months ago to pursue nursing, I've felt a large internal divide in who I am. On a whim, I found myself tonight reattempting to teach myself blues harmonica and violin, and to pick up and practice my guitar and ukulele. I got frustrated with trying to practice harmonica tablature, and went to blow off steam on youtube when one of your videos showed up. I can't believe I never witnessed your DKC2 cover until now. The combination of synthesized and acoustic instruments you used just blew me away. I've never heard a rendition that sounded more spot on than yours. The way you bring everything together is absolutely breathtaking.. I'm going to pick up my melodica again as well as the other assortment of instruments that have just been laying around. Sorry for going on a spiel, but I just felt so inspired after seeing you do Chrono Cross that I knew I had to say something. Thank you for re-igniting my love for music. c:

Music transports you to other times I swear... I remember hearing this at my friend's house back in the day when he showed me this game. Man... time flies. The irony of the game being called chrono cross and a song from it being able to take you back to a simpler time.
