I don't disagree with your sentiment but to be accurate, that's the most misunderstood verse and misquoted verse on this topic. In fact, we make Jesus a liar for using it the way we do. The issue is our ignorance, not God being mysterious.
That verse refers to a Jewish idiom. The Feasts of God has 7 Feasts and one of them is the Feast of Trumpets.
This feast is a feast that begins not on a specific day, say how Christmas Day is December 25 but is based on the state of the moon between 2 days. It's like saying Christmas will begin Between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but we don't know the day or hour because we have to see the sliver of the moon in the sky first and then Christmas Day will begin.'
The Feast of Trumpets is a 2-day feast where it's called "the feast that no one knows the day or hour of" because sometime within a 48 hour period the sliver of the moon will be seen by 2 witnesses and will notify the Priest and the feast will begin.
So to use the verse as some indication that we can't know when Jesus will return at all, that it's some big mystery is a false belief. That's like saying that if we celebrated Christmas Day either on the 24th or 25th that it could be any day of the year we just don't know. Bible prophecy when you understand it is extremely specific but you can't put the cart before the horse.
For example, Jesus is clear the last "generation" begins when the Jews return to the Promised Land and Israel would be reborn. Matthew 24:32-34.
In 1900 you couldn't say when the last generation would be because it was unknown when the Jews would return to the Promised Land and Israel would be reborn.
But come May 14, 1948, when Israel was reborn as a nation in a day just like the Prophet Isaiah predicted in Isaiah 66.
and the Jews return to the Promised Land. Matthew 24:32-34, the last generation began. The question of how long does the word "generation" mean? My conclusion is that it means 1 lifespan. Those who see the return of the Jews to the Promised Land will not all pass away until Jesus returns. Matthew 24:34.
We wouldn't know when the birth pains begin until the Jews declare a false Messiah which began in 2020.
If Russia invades Ukraine, and/or China invades Taiwan, (which I believe both will happen almost simultaneously) then we can know that the final events that lead to the return of Jesus that occur in Revelation 6 have begun.
If we are here after the terrible wars and famines Jesus talks about and the false messiah aka the Antichrist brings the world to peace with Israel at the center with a 7-year peace plan. We would know at that moment that it's 7 years until Jesus returns.
We know that based on Daniel 9 that there are 70 weeks of which 69 weeks have occurred already. We know that there is 1 week left of 7 years with that prophecy so when the peace treaty of 7 years is signed we would know the last 7 years has begun. At that point, we would know the exact 2 day period of the Feast of Trumpets Jesus will return on.
Will we know the day or hour? No. but we would know the exact 48 hour period in which He will return to rule the nations.
For now, we can get pretty close to knowing the time as we see the events unfold.
The problem in the Church is that many believe it's this giant mystery because of verses like this taken out of context, or many who don't take Bible prophecy literally. They believe Jesus was born of a literal virgin in an actual town of Bethlehem of the lineage of David and literally died on a cross and rose again specifically 3 days and 3 nights later, but don't think God is that precise about the future.
Then there are those who continually rush the date of the LORD's return because they see pieces of the timeline but not the full picture. I have made the same mistake a few times over the 3 decades I've studied this topic. This also hurts people's belief in Jesus's return, but our belief about His return is irrelevant because God doesn't poll us to see which view is the most popular. God is unfolding the future before us whether we think so or not but many will still be taken by surprise by the events of 2022 and 2023 because there isn't enough good teaching on this topic. Many Christians' faith will fail as they ask God "why would you let this happen?" These things are also promised in the Bible will happen.
It's becoming obvious even to non-believers what is happening in the world they just don't have the context of the Bible to make sense of it. But I hear story after story every day about how the world is becoming afraid the end of the world is coming fast. Jesus says in Matthew 24:6-7 to reassure us it will feel like the end of the world, we will believe the end of the world has come but the end is not yet.
Bible prophecy isn't random verses that we can just pick and choose how they apply, they apply to specific events and times for us to chart a pathway to His return. Will we understand every passage today? No. But as we move along the timeline what seems foggy today will become crystal clear tomorrow. But we sometimes need to wait until tomorrow to understand it and not put the cart before the horse.
Jesus our KING is Coming and it's sooner than many, many, many Christians believe. This is sad because God has given us the greatest evangelistic tool the world has ever seen, which may be even greater than Jesus because or technology today we could reach so many more people with the Gospel than in the first century if we just stopped bickering and actually focused on His Word and sharing the Gospel but sadly God has told us these things will happen as well.

I was apart of the falling away. I was around 17 or 18 when I was saved, I left my faith at 19 because I just got tired of struggling with sin and my battle with recreational drugs and sexual immorality and begging God to help me stop, so I left the faith, blamed God for not keeping me, but I’m 22 now and within the last month I’ve been renewed in spirit and I’ve been called back to the faith and I’m so thankful. Because I know in my spirit if i died or Jesus came back while I was away, I wouldn’t have made it to the Kingdom. I’m definitely trying to take my faith seriously, praying everyday and studying. Trying to put off my flesh and walk in the spirit. I’ve got a wife and a 10mo baby girl now so that’s also put me in a place where Im sober and naturally trying to be a role model in that sense. Glory to God for sustaining me in my prodigal time and calling me back, the time is short! Let’s all be ready brothers and sisters!

@jdc, see if you can find the book “Why the Shepherd”, and why Jesus Christ calls us His sheep. It’s because sheep are notorious for wandering away from the flock, and getting lost, and then they can’t find their way back to the fold, so the shepherd has to leave his other sheep grazing in the pasture so he can find his lost sheep and bring them home. Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd, and He does the same for us when we wander away from Him.
As a teen,I treated my parents horribly. I used all kinds of language against them, but as I have gotten older, I have come to love and respect them. Even through my roughest years of disobedience, they never stopped praying for me. I am proof that prayers work and that God listens. I still have major issues I need to be set free from, but I am closer to God now than I was back then.

I have been getting attacked really hard. I have been dealing with anxiety and I have been trying to fight it. It has progressively gotten worse and it feels as if my faith is slipping, but I am putting my faith and hope in Jesus. I have grown overwhelmed and my heart has been hurt from the constant warfare. Please pray that my heart softens. I desperately want Jesus. I want to be on fire for Him

I pray God strengthens you. I've been going through spiritualanxiety since November. I pray for peace that surpasses understanding. I know how you feel. Demonic utterings telling you lies about Jesus and His identity. Waking up and finding yourself not wanting anything to do with God. Wondering if Jesus is the Son of God. Then wondering if that God even exits after legit just experiencing His presence. Constantly doubting. Demonic oppression. Then Jesus coming through then doubting again. Exactly. I’m 46 and was recently baptized and saved just a couple of weeks ago. That He gave me the strength and the wisdom to get into that water is something that I am so very grateful for.
Since then I have still struggled with sin. It’s just water anyways. It’s not magical. But it did allow me to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and with that gift I have been able to fight off a particularly crippling addiction to a degree I never thought possible. I’ll always struggle and I’ll continue to stumble but I know He will give me the strength to continue fighting

Im 13 and sometimes I still have fear, knowing im above the age to get into heaven "freely". And knowing at my age especially with friends and influences it won't be easy which is scary. Why are Christian’s so preoccupied with end times? According to Matthew 16:28 People alive in Jesus’s time were supposed to see his kingdom come . And Matthew 24:36 states no one knows the day or the hour. How can anyone be “definite”.

I am a man of faith for my entire life. God changed my heart at the age of 10 and he has held me close ever since. I am not a theologian or any kind of doctrinal or scriptural expert... but I have read, studied and continue to study and read my bible. When I was a mid-teen, I became infatuated with the book of Revelations and read and tried to understand it. I realize that the book of Revelations by itself is not a complete look at the prophecy - that only comes through the entire scripture. But it taught me at a very early point in my faith walk that ultimately NO ONE will ever know.
We have been in the 'end times' since Christ ascended to heaven 2000+ years ago. All of these 'reasons' pointing to this being truly the end times have been around for as long as I can remember. When we talk about the 'birth pangs' increasing - they have been increasing since Christ walked on earth. How much 'increase' is enough? I agree we're closer... closer than 2000+ years ago when Christ and His disciples talked about it. Closer than when I was fascinated by the study of end times so many years ago. Let's face it - we're closer today than we were yesterday.
I feel that the one thing so many of our 'end times' watchers forget is who God really is... God is the creator of the universe. He calls man to Himself. What if... what if we had a global revival? what if God called men, women and children around the world to Himself? At least a couple of these 'converging signs' may well disappear and then what? oops - I guess I was wrong?.
Don't misunderstand me - I believe that Christ could return at ANY moment... even before I might be able to click the 'Comment' button below. I have believed that since my foray into the book of Revelations. And that makes it even MORE imperative that we live boldly for Him... that we declare our faith whenever we can... that we pray diligently for our lost friends, family and neighbors... that we glorify His Name in all the earth. Let's not focus all of our study and mental energy on 'observing the signs so we can be ready'. Let's just BE ready and let our God in Heaven manage the signs. Ultimately - only He knows the day and the hour - we're just guessing.

I understand what you're saying and I agree, we need to always be prepared for the return of our Lord. However, when the disciples asked Jesus what would be the signs of His coming and the end of the age, He told them what to look for. Always being ready is a given. But the signs are there that we might feel the urgency of the moment, use the signs to inform unbelievers, and point to the 100% accuracy of Bible Prophecy. That said, we should always present our thoughts humbly knowing that we still look through a darkened glass. We don't know when His return will be. But that doesn't mean we should shy away from the signs

No. You have never been a “lost sheep”. The lost sheep were either Greek converts to Judaism or the elect diaspora, the grafted-in descendants of the tribes of Israel who were dispersed among the nations. Through the ministry of the disciple’s great commission, they were called out from the nations to again be a holy nation of kings and priests sealed for the day of redemption which only they lived to see. Nobody today is a lost sheep of that sort.
We still have a lot of work to do before He does return! Many still need to hear the Gospel! Let's get to it!

And that's ok too. :)

You see ever since I was very little I've always prayed to God and spoke to Jesus. I've always felt him in my heart. But I got very spooked by something in the night as an adult and I was afraid to pray. So I left Jesus for a while. But I felt him calling me back. Now I'm not afraid of the spookies.. just afraid that I messed everything up between me and Jesus. I'm learning the bible now.

I love how purely immense the word of God is and just how amazing God is, who inspired it. Everything He said will come to pass and He took the future into consideration when He spoke it. There’s always an evolutionary aspect to the word of God because He knows the time and times to come. Even with the great commission, the disciples didn’t even know what Christ meant when He said to go into the whole world because it had yet to be discovered, but now as we read those same words, we feel a different weight to share the gospel because now there is barely a corner of the earth we can’t reach. Come quickly Lord Jesus and may we be found faithful when You come 🙌🏾

Therefore, be separate! Says The Lord. Come out from among them, and follow Me! My servants, bring nothing with you, for I abide not in any church made with human hands. Why do you not understand My speech?! Let’s put it this way as Christians…Everything is not falling apart, rather it’s falling into place.
We know these things are to come and that it will only get worse until the Second Coming of Christ. But if we truly know & believe in Jesus & his promises, then we need not fear for the future.
When we are given salvation we are adopted into the family of God & promised eternal live with Jesus. There will be no more pain, tears or suffering.
So we know the end of the story, Jesus has already won the battle & has victory. So we should live with urgency, soberness & humility knowing His time is coming. But also to live in boldness and courage to spread the Gospel, help others and make sure we are right with God. Not living in fear, but Victory. I group up in an a Christian household but I didn’t take religious as serious as I should, anyhow I fell asleep one night, felt like I was awake. The dream was so real. I was sitting in like this church, alone, just me. Then suddenly a cat ran across my feet then he ran out of these double doors, so I quickly followed him. When I walked outside the church was literally sitting in the middle of an ocean, pretty blue water. But further in the distance there were these mountains, they were pretty far away from me. And me I’m just sitting there on the edge of the steps staring at them, then suddenly this man rises from above the mountains, he was so far but so close it was so amazing. But when he rises from above the mountains and gets closer to the water, the water split and made a path towards me. He was coming so slow but extremely fast, as he’s approaching and gets closer I knew exactly who he was, our lord Jesus Christ. White robe, short hair, with a pure glow to him. Extremely beautiful man my goodness. He approaches me, just stares at me, putting the end to all my thoughts and wonders I’ve ever had it was him standing in front of me. Next everything turns white, I’m in this all white place and something tells me to turn around, I turn around it’s him again but THOUSANDS of people following him, he points and tells me to turn back around, I turn around and it’s this GOLD LIGHT at my feet, I don’t know what it was but my body and soul knew to pick it up. I picked it up and it like grabbed me became me(I’m sorry I’m trying to explain the best I can) but next I was sitting at this table, the people sitting across from me and on the side of me just smiled at me, I knew I was okay, I think they were ancestors. But it kind of reminds me of that last supper painting with the lighting in that room, but I looked down the table and the table had no ending to it, it went on forever and ever. Full of food perfectly cooked food, and everybody was just having a good time and laughing, but everything turned white again, and this time I was standing at the throne of Jesus. He sat in a chair of gold and jewels, on a marble like floor. He had like a staff in his hand, the colors in this room were alive, they were singing, I couldn’t understand the language but they were singing, everything was alive no words can describe what I saw. He just sat there looking, holding his staff man there are no words none that can explain how great he is. And you can feel it, his power, like you want serve him. So peaceful. When I read revelations for the first time I knew the Bible was accurate. EVERYTHING the revelation describes about Jesus throne is REAL I SAW IT. I broke down and cried because I’m telling you people there is no other way. He finally spoke to me at the end of my dream, his words were simple sincere and serious, I’m coming, and I’m coming soon. I truly believe we will see the second coming of Jesus. The Bible is accurate people don’t let these people stir you away from Jesus. Repent and thank him everyday, I want us all to make it. I know so many people that feel this way. So many and I just ask myself why. Why do so many have this 'feeling'? It is a strange spiritual feeling. I don't really know how to explain it but I feel it everyday. There is this great urgency in my life to share God's word and God's love with others. I have never had a feeling like this before but I do now.

I feel this way also. I used to mock God(forgive me) when my mom would talk about the end of the world but I started to open my eyes and realize what kind of world I’m living in. I started to become a believer and out of nowhere have an urge to get closer and get right or try my best to do so. I think that’s a sign and I am thankful for that. I truly am ♥️.
We are in " End Times ". I've been seeing it for 2 years now since i accepted Jesus into my life and declared him Lord & Savior. I often pray once a day he returns anytime now. I praise GOD for all things he has done for me and given me. I trust in him and he is always with me.

I am in need of prayers! I have been struggling with sin and have not been able to break these bad habits.
Read Romans 6! Jesus’ death bought our victory over sin. Sin no longer has power over us, and yet, we still sin. I’m not saying we’re sinless perfection at all, but we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us, so we have power for conforming to the image of Christ, who was in all ways tempted, yet without sin. How can we who died to sin still live in it?
God has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness. God makes a way out of every temptation that we would be able to endure it. God’s word is profitable for teaching, for correction, for reproof, and for training us up in righteousness, that we would be equipped for every good work.
If you’re in Christ, you’re a new creation!! The old, sinful man has passed away and the new has come. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. The majority of what I said is from scripture. I’m just tired and on my phone.

Ten days ago I was on a walk outside and I was listening to a christian podcast. Then I felt like looking at the sky and as I was watching it I saw a fish pattern facing the right side in a place where there was like an oval shaped gap in the clouds. And seven days later when me and my mom were in her car coming back home we both saw a fish pattern in the sky but now it was facing the left side. The fish patterns were just like the Jesus's fish pattern.

I went to hear Dr Reagan speak almost 20 years ago. I was one of only two African-Americans in the large group that was lead of God to come and hear him.. Makes sense, especially the “convergence of these signs” part! I’ve believed what we’re experiencing right now is most likely a “birth pang,” but I feel now I must also confess a personal struggle of mine. I pray others may be edified by my sharing, and hope for encouragement myself.
I hear of so many other Christians who try to predict dates or even hold so strongly to a particular end times view (pre-trib vs post-trib rapture for example), that they divide from other Christians, even calling them false teachers; and this starts to feel discouraging, because all sides seem to be backed by Scripture. Sometimes it feels like “the boy who cried wolf.” Don’t misunderstand, I whole heartedly believe that Jesus will return just as Scripture says, but I can’t help but question many of the “end times timelines” put out there by so many people.
Furthermore, every world event (*cough* Covid *cough*) seems to mark the imminence of Christ’s return and of course antichrist/mark of the beast; and “figuring it all out” seems to be a top priority, to the point I’m left with the feeling of “figure it out or be deceived and damned!”
I appreciate your video - it’s a reminder that each of these events is a sobering wake up call meant to avert our gaze back to Christ and get right with Him before it’s too late. It’s just a struggle when I see so many professing Christians who seem to have a different idea of what it means to “be right with Christ,” and when we disagree with one another, it’s really easy to second guess myself.
But, I’ve been trying to spend more time in Scripture than on the news, and focus more on what God Himself has to say than people do, along with prayer and fasting. But this is a lesson in patience and overcoming fearfulness, I must admit.

I too have trouble with all the different people out there claiming they know when the is coming. You are doing the best thing by being in the Word more. Let it and the Holy Spirit speak to you. Also, stay focused on Jesus and doing the things He told us to do and let Jesus come when He comes. No one, not even Jesus knows the exact day or time.
Hi I too feel like I need to have it all figured out or else I feel I may be deceived and it’s been a lot of pressure because I feel I’m suppose to have it all figured out but I don’t. Growing up, I always considered myself a Christian but I was still trying to keep up with the Joneses and it wasn’t until the pandemic that I really wanted to start getting to know God but I started reading the New Testament in King James Version and now I’m having to reread the whole thing but in my teen version of the Bible I got when I was younger instead because I had a hard time understanding it and researching some scripture meanings online didn’t help either cause there were a lot of mixed answers as well. I don’t even know if I even repented correctly and keep asking Jesus to be my Lord and savior and I try to pray using the Our father method (not the actual prayer itself just the outline how it is ordered) I also have a hard time listening for his voice because he says “My sheep hear my voice” And then there’s “if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it. James 1:5. I know he can speak through scriptures, other people, dreams, etc. but people also say he speaks audibly through prayer and I don’t know how to keep my mind silent when there are enemies trying to get to my head. I really need help with these things. If you anyone can give advice it would be much appreciated. 🙏🏼
It doesn’t matter what the fellow servants think but what the master has said, our job as believers is to follow/Christ and His Word.
As the Word says only the Father knows the time and the hour, and we’re to be ready In season and out of season, meaning at all times. Yes it can be nice to have prophecy watch and stuff, but we can get so caught up in prophecy that we can miss out on our assignment which is to reach the lost and preach the gospel to every creature in the earth. Also I truly believe as the Word says that God knows who are His and who are not, don’t worry about the signs, worry about if you truly love and know Jesus, if you love Him you’ll obey Him. So what I’m trying to get at is keep your eyes not on your fellow servant or the signs, but Behold Him who has the keys, to hell, death and the grave He who is the First and the Last, Who is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the Light we are to follow and His Word is a lamp unto our feet and shows us the path we are to take.

People have said that we are living in the end times ever since I can remember. I remember when people said in the year 2000 that the world was going to end. Now, I'm not going to say it ain't going to happen; but, what I am saying is if you are right with God you have nothing to worry about. The Bible says: yesterday is gone, and to not worry about tomorrow; because it will take care of it's self, just take care of today as it comes. I was praying recently, and saying the end times must be near; due to our societal downfall and openess to mental abnormalities...Then I asked myself: 'Who am I to claim to know when the end is near? Should I even be concerned for it?'. Then I humbled myself and realized that it's OK to pray for His return, but until that time, all I can do is my best. Concerning myself with predicting the end of days is not helpful in my walk with God. But I really enjoyed this video.

Many years ago, upon reading the book of revelation. I earnestly prayed to God for wisdom to understand what is written there...I have no idea that God has already answered my prayer....10 years later, the book of Revelation in connection with the book of Daniel ..was already unleashed and unraveled...Looking back, I know God indeed answers our sincerest prayers.

Beautiful and thank you brother Allen and I believe this can really help unbelievers repent. I remember as an unbeliever when people talked about the end times that stuff always convicted me and put the fear of God in me and then months later I ended up getting saved by the Lord. I believe talking about the end times works as preaching the gospel to the lost as well.

I teach 9-10th grade Chinese students and will show this video tomorrow. To make Sunday School interactive we display the lesson on the computer screen and often show your videos. When I asked what they wanted to study, Revelation was the most popular.
I don’t want to focus too much on the endtimes. 1. Its scares me! I am affraid of the unknown and possibly the “ultimate rekentool”. 2. We don’t know when The second return is as hè comes “as a thief in the night” so for now I just want to focus on my personal Relationship with God instead of believing because of fear. That is for me the most important hing
They were living in the last days back then, I believe Peter said this 40 days after pentecost (Lord forgive me if I have it mixed up) as long as you and I have been alive we've been living I'm the last days.
