    Excellent solo, full of technical bravery and wise use of electronics. Very musical! Compliments from Croatia!

    yeah normally thats the way anyone would do it, but when it came to doing this solo on the fly, i didn't want to blow the transition with something dumb that didnt fit the solo, therefore making me have to restart, and this was a time limit of all time limits, so I had to decide on something.but i hear you.these solos were done spur of the moment, so i was focused on just doing some cool things.thanks for watching. stay tuned for the new ones, they will be the best of the best for drum solos.

  • @CharlieEngen
    @CharlieEngen  13 лет назад +1

    @AntonioDavidPickett Yeah for the most part, toms and overheads for sure. I believe the kick here was a D112 up close and a shure 52 far. On the snare was a sm57.

    Excellent sounding tubs, nice funk feel, good tempo, relaxed, tasty chops, loose and open. Very nice effort amidst some really lousy RUclips drum solos! I'll subscribe. (I only have one posted so far, an impromptu two minutes from an old retired pro.)

    1:07 that bass boom was fucking baaaad ass

  • @CharlieEngen
    @CharlieEngen  15 лет назад +1

    No I don't. It is a DW kit, with mainly Sabian cymbals. Here I had Evans EC2 clear heads on top, and Clear Remo Ambassador bottoms. Snare sounds goofy because the EC2 made it sound that way, I am not a fan of it and always use a reverse dot coated Remo head.
