My favourite intros have to be-- Birth By Sleep 0.2 (A Fragmentary Passage) & KH: Dream Drop Distance. They are SO GOOD, I never get tired of watching them. Though, arguably, they're all pretty great in their own context.
You are absolutely Incorrect about The Keyblade needing Three Princesses to make it. But what you said is very Spot On about a Major Plot Point in The First Game. Great Speculation. Just in a different way. Lol
Thank you for the reaction! I won't say too much, to avoid spoiling anything if you ever decide to play. I think the only two left that might be worth a reaction are the 0.2 Birth By Sleep OP(now that you've seen this one, it would be fitting to compare) and the Dream Drop Distance OP. A lot of the footage for this OP comes from a scene animated in the KH2 secret ending, called 'Birth By Sleep', if you were interested in this full fight scene.
without spoiling much, this is the first game chronologically, but was the 7th game released. it contains pretty much an entirely new cast of characters from all of its predecessors, but they all play a part in the larger story which is KH3. this was originally released on PSP, but has been since remastered as part of the 2.5 collection. not necessarily a spoiler, but they got a bunch of big names to VA in this game, to include Leonard Nimoy of of star trek fame, and Mark Hamil. i would not suggest looking up who they play though. as people have probably mentioned this game, was built of the secret video from KH2 FM secret video, which is part of the deserty scene. All three of the characters with charms, are playable , and each have there own individual stories. that intertwine to create the larger story of BBS. perosnnaly its one of my favorite games, since all three characters play differently from each other.
idk if anyone else has said this but the games feature opening cinematics which aren't trailers but the literal beginning of the game. you haven't watched the first game opening cinematic as far as i can tell, which is a shame 'cause it's PHENOMENAL
This was actually my first Kingdom Hearts game! Its technically like the fourth (?) Kingdom Hearts so I was just kinda vibing and didn't know what was going on beyond "Anime plot with Disney worlds" Each of the three characters (The bigger guy with brown hair is Terra, the lady with blue hair is Aqua, and the blonde kid that looks like Roxas is Ventus) are fully playable, and each have their own campaign that intertwine with each other! I dunno if you plan to play or maybe even stream these games, so I won't spoil much, but I will say that this game takes place right about 10 years before the first Kingdom Hearts game! At the very very end of the intro it pans down to a beach, where you can see little Sora sitting with his friend Riku :3
11:00-11:40 it is indeed a sword. It a fantasy for kids so pretty much all their weapons are made to look impractical. Kinda like taking the concept of playing pretend sword with a cool stick you found.
the release order of the kingdom hearts games goes like this(excluding the mobile games): 1, chain of memorie, 2, 358/2 days, birth by sleep, 3d dream drop distance, 3
@@Skywolfhd20 Not in the States. DS only. I’d argue it counts. But to each their own, I suppose. Dark Road, while a mobile game, is still available. You also didn’t include MoM
@@Riku_Light true, i did forget melody of memory. but recoded being on the ds doesn't mean it isn't a remake of a mobile game. and why are you bringing up dark road when i specifically said i excluded all the mobile games from the list?
@@Skywolfhd20 cuz I’m not sure why you’re excluding them in the first place. Like it or not, they’re canon lore heavy games. Dark Road is Xehanort’s backstory and has the cutscenes for Union X, which tells the story of the keyblade war and will be VERY relevant to the story going forward into KH4 and beyond. I used to make KH music videos. 60 or so of them on my channel. I have every version of every game released in the US. I know KH lore. My name is literally taken from Riku of KH (with the irony of what if his last name was Light).
Not surprising that he confused Ventus for Roxas. In truth, the reason Roxas's form manifested the way it did was due to Ventus, so first time viewers would be confused as hell about that.
Nice reaction and analysis, seeing people trying to figure out KH through its Ops is always fun. Think the only cinematic opening left is Dream Drop Distance, the rest reuses in-game cutscenes. Edit: Forgot you haven’t actually reacted to KH1’s yet 😅
Some KH openings do look like clipshows, taking footage from previous games and stuff. Even this one, though it's fully CG (no gameplay footage) and mostly new, reuses some scenes from Kingdom Hearts 2's secret ending cinematic (any scenes where the 3 main characters are in armor is from that older cinematic). Birth By Sleep is a prequel, takes place 10 years before KH1, builds on lore and all that (as well as introducing the main villain. You know, the guy who is obviously evil as shit). Birth By Sleep is one of those games where you pick the protagonist at the beginning and each one has their own path through the story and you get the full picture playing the three routes. If you want to see more KH openings there's only two more with fully original animation that are worth taking a look, one that you will find as "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD" (the name of the remaster compilation which includes the short game "Birth By Sleep ~a fragmentary passage~" the opening actually is for. It is a sequel to this one you just saw. It often gets uploaded as the opening to the whole collection) and "Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance", which takes place between Kingdom Hears 2 and 3. There's a couple more Kingdom Hearts games but they have full-on clipshows for openings, not very interesting to look at.
Very cool reaction! BBS is probably my favorite KH game, just because it's a little darker and more tragic than the others. Idk if you're interested in other related stuff but there's a full cinematic of the fight scene you've been seeing snippets of. It was originally a secret teaser cutscene for those who 100%ed Kingdom Hearts 2 so there's no major spoilers. It's really epic tho, you can find it when you look for "Kingdom Hearts 2 secret ending".
This game has 3 playable main characters... Playing through each character's story shows a different side of that story... Then you can kinda unlock a final chapter afterwards... This one is a prequel and that isn't Roxas... But there is a reason it looks like Roxas... Or rather, why Roxas looks like him... While we meet Roxas first in the games, this game is set some years before... I think there's currently around 9 main games if you include the phone game... All kinda at least partially important to the plot, spread out over multiple consoles lol. 2 on PS2, 1 on GBA (a special remake was made for PS2, I think, but I don't remember if it had a wide release), 2 were on Nintendo DS (well, one was a phone game that was remade, I think, but I think the phone game was Japan only), 1 (this one) was on PSP, 1 on the 3DS... There's the phone game... Then finally KH3 came out on PS4 and maybe Xbone... Technically as part of one of the HD remastered collections there was like a little game made to lead into KH3 as well... Luckily, by the time KH3 came out, there were also the HD collections or whatever, which has most of the games in one place (well, 2... There are 2 collections), which is now out on multiple platforms... Some games are not fully included though, but are represented via cutscenes and maybe some text and pictures... Which is kinda a shame, but they aren't necessarily anything special in terms of gameplay... Oh well...
Since you've watched this opening, you should also watch the Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Secret Ending at some point! At the end of each Kingdom Hearts game is one or two secret endings you can unlock that teases the next game. This intro takes scenes from the KH2 secret ending, so if you wanted to see the scene from this opening in its entirety it could be cool to react to! Also someone else mentioned it but you should also react to the 0.2 Birth By Sleep Opening as well!

My brother in otaku if you do not begin playing these games STAT! You are totally gonna love them. And I am more than willing to offer spoiler free help in getting you going, I've had to do it once or twice for some other peeps and streamers in my friend group. Also I hate that you skipped the last five seconds where it shows something really cool you would have commented on... but also, don't go back. Just play. Also thus far you've gotten every intro properly, just wildly out of order.
Yo, how bout the next one ya do 3D! Or uh as the full title says Dream Drop Distance. All these videos are uhh openings. They play at the start of each game, skippable of course but nothing actually Disney related that’ll getcha in trouble. The music is also fine in these intros lol
