Get real. Africans will not hope to be like Lagos, this city is so poor in every aspect. It cannot even reach the level of Kigali. If African will hope for the future of Africa they would rather be like Cape Town not this dirty and poor Lagos.

I'm from India, but my grandfather worked here and my mother grew up in this very city as well. They used to tell me a lot about this city and their amazing colleagues and its fascinating culture. Hope I can visit this country soon. Love from India!

Lagos is ok but not to be mean, besides poverty Nigerian students in the Philippines are critical of every little thing they find in the Philippines and they say: In Nigeria, the poverty is taken cared of by our government. So does the Philippine government, it gives monthly cash to the poor people but to take care of millions of poor would drain Nigeria's and Philippine budget. And they don't need to say what they do to the poor. Poor is poor no matter where. Philippines has 17 to 20 million, Nigeria has 80 to 88 million poor. One student said: the people are small. Both Filipinos and Nigerians are inappropriately blunt. They don't have the skill to speak in a way that won't sound judgmental. One said the Filipinos drink blood--she's way off and lacking social speaking skill. We have a recipe where pig blood is an ingredient. Chinese have some weird but very delicious food. Weird food? It's not strange in Africa. Another one said you're like a dog in the Filipino version of tuktuk. Another one is really trying to prove that Filipinos don't speak fluent English. So many don't, it's true. And if they say they speak fluent or good enough English, it's also true. Hundreds of American, European and Middle Eastern corporations have left India and relocated their backoffices to the Philippines and made it the call centre capital of the world. They need dedicated workers that speak good English with "neutral accent". The Nigerian who is trying to prove that we don't speak good English is partly correct, but why is she SO AFFECTED in something that is not important? There's more if you watch Nigerians talking about HOW SHOCKED ! they are at what they find in the Philippines.
I had to look at how Nigerian downtowns look like being the giant of Africa. I choose to keep quiet after seeing it. That's what I mean. I think I would just believe that when Nigerians compare their country to the Philippines, or to any other country, they don't mean to criticize. But how they say it and the words they use, while shaking their head and laughing while speaking is something you don't see other Africans do. The rich Americans and Europeans are the complete opposite. They know how to share nicely what they find in Southeast Asia.

All cities are more beautiful from the sky! For example, most cities in Europe and America are dirty and smelly. New York smells like piss, and the streets are packed with hungry, homeless people... Oh, and huge rats that chase people all over town.

Iconic video. Lagos is Nigeria's modern flagship city. The government should realize this and give Lagos the seriousness it deserves, among other things, by brushing off all it's blemish. The city generates more than enough revenue for that to happen. Keep up the good work.

É amigo isso é para aqueles que acha que na África só tem cidade pequena e de casinha de barro rsrs. Eu mesmo já conhecia desde 97 , lagos é uma das maiores cidades do mundo amigo com mais de 16 milhões de pessoas e existe outras grandes e lindas ex: Cairo no Egito e Kinshasa na RD do Congo. Abraço

I said Lagos is Africa's 5th largest economy and that's a fact, population does not matter. Nairobi has a larger GDP than Uganda, Somalia, Eritrea and a few other countries combined. Singapore is a city of 5 million and has a larger economy than all of SA. And Nigeria is the largest economy by GDP in Africa. SA has a large GDP but then again it is the most unequal society on Earth. None of these countries are perfect.

I appreciate this video showcasing the great potential of Lagos and Nigerian govt. This gives a positive impact on international community. However, the challenge is still huge for Lagos, a lot of roads in the city especially in the market places are dirty and disorganized including clean water and electricity to be made available to its people in general.

every nigerian youtubers shooting same thing, they are all shooting lekki link bridge and civic center and its becoming boring, where is the mainland? when shooting lagos i feel ikeja shouldnt be left out since it is the state capital and most executive offices are there where is places like surulere where the national stadium is where is ogba omole where alot of rich people used to live before the lekki over hype came what about yaba, onipan ,e.t.c. these places also do look nice where is badagry that holds alot of history? will love to see videos from these areas. Nigeria is visually pleasing , I think the problem with Nigeria isn’t bad governance but overpopulation with 100 million people less it would have been thriving haven for Nigerians citizens. But unfortunately the economy cannot keep up with the population growth.
