This is a fantastic mix of classical and traditional/folk music! It is truly wonderful to see how Mike Marshall plays classical mandocello, and how Caterina Lichtenberg plays folk mandolin. Watching this has given me inspiration for various ways to approach my mandolin playing.
Finding and watching this video made my day. My only complaint is that they should have had subtitles for all the talking in the first four or five minutes. Great to hear a concert like this that shows mastery of the instruments in a variety of styles.
Two different mandolins, (a bowl back and a F mandolin) or classical and or folk mandolins. So different and so the same, kind of like "man and woman" so different and so the same! Oh by the way, you two should put up some more videos your kind-a-good at this playing thing! Oh I forgot, you are the Marshall family, my bad!
