Made this yesterday and it was delicious, topped with thinly sliced potato instead of bread crumbs. Just finished leftovers cold from the fridge, so good. Thanks for keeping things simple and helping to make my gluten free vegan life tasty and so easy.
Cooked this last night. Absolutely beautiful. Had enough left over for a second night. Pimped it up in the second night by chopping some Linda McCartney sausages through it. Amazing. Our kids loved it as well. Cheers.
I’m brand new to your channel and super stoked to have found it! I am a mom of 12 yr old twin girls and we are a plant powered family (also have an awesome boy!)! I love watching their bond as they grow, there’s nothing in this world like it! You two are just amazing! I’m hooked! Making this tomorrow! Cheers!
I just made this for dinner tonight - cept for the bread crumbs - didn’t have and baking - no oven proof skillet. It was AH-MAY-ZING!! The bread crumbs and baking wouldve made it even more delicious!!! Thank you for a lovely hearty meal!
Just got your book delivered this morning, i had a glance though it today and am going to do the 2 week plan, today is the last day I'm having cheese or dairy. Dedicating to a vegan diet full time. Thank you guys for making it that much easier and tastier to eat healthy, sending loads of love from Canada!
Loved the flavor of this - the veg stock + bechamel is definitely the secret. Makes the veggies taste really stand-out good. Would make great leftover lunches for the week and has way more vegetables than I would normally be able to fit in a work lunch meal.
I made this tonight and it was absolutely delicious. I didn't have any broccoli so I substituted spinach! I will definitely make this again. Thank you for sharing such a great recipe!!
Tried this one out tonight. It's a nice and easy to cook midweek meal. Next time I'll take less veg stock and more of the bread crumb mixture. Maybe I make some bread crumbs in a pan as they got soggy in the oven.
I did this one and it is truly AWESOME!!!!!!!! I had to go out after it was finished so I didn't get to serve it till the next day. The overnight rest in the refrigerator made it ever better.. I served with some spiced up quinoa and it was truly delightful... Thanks, guys. I also just got the new book and can't wait to start the recipes in there... MMMMMMM you are the best
YO DUDES! I made this, last night, and it is all kinds of YUM! Even my T-Rex hubby dug it and he rarely makes it over the "where's the meat" hurdle. 😂 Thanks for another winner!!! 😘😘
Nice! Thanks for putting the recipe in the description! Please do more 5 minutes meals.. The rogan josh has now taken the top position in my rotation between the chickpea curry, kale stir fry, tikka masala and stuffed sweet potato. You're the reason it's been so easy to go vegan! Cheers boys :)
I live off "The Happy Pear" recipes! I think it's safe to say that I need to buy the recipe books.... (Although just to support you, as I love watching the videos as I cook). THANK YOU for making my vegan life easy! Update: I made this last night. Holy bejesus it was incredible! My favorite thing I've made. I made a few tweaks, I added mushrooms, swapped the leek for bok choy as that's what I had, and added buttercup - sliced into cubes which I boiled along with the kumara to soften them slightly before cooking (so I could have the skins on the buttercup too). I am slightly obsessed with buttercup atm so I'm putting it in everything haha. Amazing recipe guys! THANKS
Chazz Hill-Hayr I was the same and got the yellow book at Christmas just to support them. I’m really surprised at how often I use it as I was always using their videos
Definitely a winter comfort-food dish but I couldn't resist making this right away during the hot weather. :D Freakin' DELISH. I added mushrooms, cauliflower and goats cheese. So easy and amazing.
Grinding walnut halves (without shells, of course) with the breadcrumbs ups the nutrition value. They brown very quickly, so under the grill rather than the oven perhaps.
Never had a casserole like this. To be honest, I’ve only ever had sausage casserole and that was before I was vegan. I’m definitely gonna try this one. Thanks dudes. 🌱💚🌱💚🌱
I absolutely love this dish. Thank you guys, my most fave vegan cooks. I literally steal one of your meals for dinner everyday for me and my famalan. All 6 of us 😁😚🤪🤪🤪
Tried it this evening, the volume of veg was twice what my dishes could handle so I made soup with the extra veg and used all the bechamel sauce and 300ml of veg stock (the rest of the veg stock went towards the soup!). Dish was delicious! Next time I’d either chop the sweet potato smaller or cook it for longer as some cubes were still crunchy! I’d also half the volume of veg and use more bechamel sauce and no stock to make it more creamy.
Do you think a can of rinsed flageolet beans might be nice added to this dish if you want to increase protein content? I like the idea of using oat milk for bechamel. I have found that it thickens up quite a bit when heated (e.g. for hot chocolate).
Looks rocking! Two questions... 1) do you think some truffle oil or salt would go well in the white sauce or overpower the dish? 2) could you double the white sauce & reduce the veg stock to make it thicker/less runny?
THANK YOU FOR HAVING THE RECIPE IN THE DESCRIPTION 🙌

I am always amazed that you can put that piping hot, steaming food right out of the oven into your mouth. :-)
I think they cut the coughi gagging. Feck; oh Jayus that's hot out lol ; from a Dublin lass . Now in Melbourne Australia

I would chuck beans in for protein

Can I freeze??
Will this Freeze well?

What happend if you leave out the flour? Blended tofu and mushroom instead?
Looks rocking! Two questions...
1) do you think some truffle oil or salt would go well in the white sauce or overpower the dish?

SUPER DOOPER MEGA YUM!!!
So, this is hilarious. I'm watching your videos and the ad in the beginning is a Sonic ad talking about 'double the meat' haha
Anyway, amazing video!
I am wondering how do you diffentiate between the number THree and the TREES out there in your daily life?
