Since i was 20 years old ...ik cooked from your recepices...and now i am 63 and still cook your recepices ..you are a part of my life.... Thank you dear Jamie....you have a lovely Family... greetings from Roermond in the Netherlands ❣️❣️❣️❣️
I made this for my love not too long ago. She doesn't like mushrooms, olives and chickpeas, and was therefore very skeptical. We had a backup-meal ready to cook quickly just in case. She loved it. She literally said "What? Chickpeas? Mushrooms? I can't believe I'm saying this - but this might be my favorite dinner!" Please share more veggie batch cooking recipes, this was hugely wonderful!
Thank you so much! I keep watching and rewatching your videos over and over again. Really appreciate such homely and peaceful atmosphere. Lots of love to your family!
Omg, I tried this recipe and it is out of this world!! Jamie, I have been loving all of your recipes that I've made so far. FYI for those who don't have access to an oven: I made it two ways, one batch I continued to cook on the stovetop with the squash steaming on top (with added ham for the meat eaters in my life) and the other batch (for me) I made in the oven. Both came out amazing! I'm especially impressed that the veggie version is just as good if not yummier because of the extra caramelization. I used my homemade tapenade because it's a kick-ass staple in a veggie friendly kitchen.
My wife and I ate in a Jamie Oliver restaurant on board a cruise ship a few years back, it’s been one of the hi lights of our lives looking back. Fantastic food, incredible experience for us both! Would love to do it again!
Wow, Mr Oliver, this recipe is absolutely awesome, I've just made it for the first time, it almost filled my 5.5 litre pan and I want to eat the lot!! Thankyou for sharing it to the world 👍🏻
perfect for me, as I'm plant based for health reasons ! I make a lot of your recipes , and have a couple of your books, thanks for your help with my health journey xxx
Did this for a batch lunch prep. Was concerned when done about it being waay too watery, but once I mashed up the Squash and let it stand for about 30 mins, it was perfect.
Good morning from Anchorage Alaska- brilliant casserole and to have such a great food on hand and the many ways to change it up is fantastic. Take care everyone ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Another brilliant pricipal recipe that like Jmaie says you take all over the world from Mexico to Thailand and the veggies are literally interchangeable...don't have a Butternut squash it's fine just use carrots, they're beuatiful and sweet when roasted
Jamie, I've got some in the oven right now and can't wait until it's done. Smells delish!!! I didn't have the chickpeas so subbed with black beans. Hope it turns out just as good anyway! Charring the mushies and veggies in the pot without oil is brilliant!
This is what I call a "must make"! Looks so doggone delicious! I'll have to go shopping to get all the ingredients & then I can make it. Really looking forward to this. Thank you so much for sharing! 💜
Hey Mr. Oliver I really love the way you cook and I am not a big fan of mushrooms but the way you fix them they look ausom. I live in Kentucky and I love to cook. But I am not doing too well I have always wanted one of your books or just one of your recipies signed by you. 😊😊
Says here that this amazing, wonderful, recipe can be found in Jamie Oliver's new book 1. I'm heading over to Amazon right now to buy it. One for me, and one for my vegetarian granddaughter, for Christmas
Just made it and really enjoyed it. Interesting deep flavours, quite rich. The jarred chickpeas are indeed nicer. Looking forward to trying it with the korma paste and spinach tomorrow. One issue - the roasted butternut squash on the oven rack made a bit of a mess of my oven. Can I not use a baking tray next time?
Lee, I did it in my oven right on the rack, and narry a drop of mess! I wonder if you baked it too long? I followed Jamie's recipe to a T, baked the squash while I prepped everything else. Mine wasn't as crisp as his from it's time in the oven, but I also didn't have a mess.
I do wonder how you call it a squash. It has pumpkin seeds, it’s orange snd has the texture of pumpkin. In Australia it’s called a butternut pumpkin. We have small round yellow veggies we call squash. I wonder what you call them overseas. Looks amazing though and will definitely try it in the winter. Thanks!
In America it’s a butternut squash. But technically pumpkin is a squash, too. Yellow squash in the US looks like a club and is more like a zucchini (corgette). And we also have acorn squash that is more similar to the butternut and pumpkin squashes.
Looks great! Was that malt vinegar you added, or white vinegar? And....red wine vinegar generally contains an animal derivative. What would you use as an alternative?
Hey there, man... Trying to find that pot you're using in this video. Can't seem to find it online anywhere. How do i go about purchasing one? Awesome dish by the way!
Thanks, Jamie, looks great. How and when would you work in the curry paste? I know it's when you're reheating it, but do you just put the cold leftovers into a pan, lob the curry paste on top of it and reheat it all as one, mixing it all together as you go?
Mine turned out more of a soup then a stu/casserole… wondering why? I even used half the water. I didn’t have tapenade or canned tomatoes (used fresh). Any other tips for how to thicken this up next time? Still yummy. But not what I expected
I actually used about 4/5 or 5/6 full (nearly full but not quite!) and it worked out just about right. Only one can as I only used half the ingredients - only cooking for two.
I used to absolutely loved your recipes before I went plant based. Now I’m seeing your vegan/veg meals I can enjoy the meals again ❤
Since i was 20 years old ...ik cooked from your recepices...and now i am 63 and still cook your recepices ..you are a part of my life.... Thank you dear Jamie....you have a lovely Family... greetings from Roermond in the Netherlands ❣️❣️❣️❣️
The math isn’t adding up …
What ?
How does that work, when you started cooking his recipes he was 4 years old
Are you sure?
I think Trudy may have meant to say she has been cooking his recipes for 20 years.
Best Day Ever! Dad!❤
Greatest compliment ever!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Jamie, I cooked this tonight for my wife. She absolutely loved it and gave me a 9.9/10, which I told her you deserve.

You made a mistake
That is good, and well worth knowing. I liked the idea of making it as a kind of base for other dishes, especially the curry mentioned.
Going to give it a go. Love chickpeas and all the veggies too.
Brilliance. I am watching! Thank you.
Goodafternoon Jamie from Greece 😀
Looks pretty tasty - nice combination of veggies

@@phyllisprovo7916 I did it for the same time as Jamie. Maybe I put a bit too much oil on. I'm not sure.
AKWAYS use dry chickpeas if you aren’t in a rush. 100 times cheaper and delicious
หิวคร้าบ ❤
Good stuff Jamie

Love the recipe, is the pot Jamie is using available to buy?
Looks great! Was that malt vinegar you added, or white vinegar? And....red wine vinegar generally contains an animal derivative. What would you use as an alternative?
Oooh yummmm 💕
Holy macaroni! i would add carrots, sellerie, redwine and soyasauce
Yum

Can I ask...where is the recipe? Thanks

My question exactly!
@@2Littlecampers I did it as described as described above and it worked out very well!
Well, I'd use cumin instead of clove(and a pinch of paprika). More Mediterranean and tasty. It looks yummy anyway.
What magic' dish super
I love kaffir lime
I use to work for Jamie ❤
How is he as a leader when in the kitchen?
I never actually met him BUT his principals and training methods were amazing, best times of my life
is there a recipe here somewhere, looks delicious?
Mine turned out more of a soup then a stu/casserole… wondering why? I even used half the water.
I didn’t have tapenade or canned tomatoes (used fresh). Any other tips for how to thicken this up next time? Still yummy. But not what I expected
Jamie Oliver...👌👍🙏
Good day Jamie. Where can a get a detailed description of the recipe?
It’s good but needed another hour on the stove top to reduce the liquid. It was uncovered in the oven for the 1.5 hours but never really reduced.
Definitely. Learning that now as I'm making it. Decided to look through comments to see if anybody else having this issue. Thanks.
I was thinking that two full cans of water did seem a lot.
I might try only filling them about 2/3 or 3/4 full.
It shouldn't be covered in the oven, Sherry. That's how it's allowed to reduce the liquid and intensify the flavors.
@@phyllisprovo7916 it was uncovered? It says so in my comment.
I actually used about 4/5 or 5/6 full (nearly full but not quite!) and it worked out just about right.
Only one can as I only used half the ingredients - only cooking for two.
