What hit home for me is when cloud told her he'd take her on the highwind someday. It really gives the artwork of her watching the airship a depth that hurts like hell, especially when you were changing discs afterwards. Damn, Square. That is cold
This was exactly the point of the OG. The fact that remake plays with time itself makes it way less hurtful because we all know that is now within reach. Even if she dies this time again, even if there is no more time altering, reality itself allows for this to happen if the chance is just taken.

The rumors in middle school were crazy even game shark would bring her back but only the lvl she was at when she died so my one buddy was grinding her up on basic low lvl enemies forever idk if he ever got her with the game shark
Game shark worked, the problem was cutscene with in you party can sometimes ruin your save if you saved it. Since she can’t talk, it stopped the game from proceeding.

Remastered backgrounds, upgraded character sprites, the amazing Echo-S team gave us voice overs for every line in the game, upscaled menus, and of course the option to save Aerith. Square Enix has their work cut out for them with that kind of friendly competition. That said, I’m excited to play FF7 Ever Crisis and of course the 3 part remake.
She absolutely doesn't have to die. The developers wrote an alternate storyline in the original Final Fantasy seven but then decided not to go with it. The fact that fans were pissed off she was killed and the original, and they did it again in the remake just shows that they aren't listening to their player community.

They should make something like Nier Automata. Aerith will eventually be killed by Sephi, but you can prevent it if you're quick enough or something. Then the failed player will become a ghost character in your game and will fight for you. It will still be very very hard to save Aerith from dying but the collective voices/ghost characters will accumulate and finally everyone's wish from the internet will help you beat fate. What? Meow knows it's a bad idea, Imma meow myself out. Hmph!
Loved it. The rest of the game does a great job of making the player think Aerith will die again, only for Cloud to rise up in the final moments. The way Rebirth creates expectations only to do something different is very FF7.
Would be great if the sacrifice was still required, but different characters could be sacrificed based on differences in how you played the game and which stories you uncovered before the city of the ancients. Obviously for advent children, the canon sacrifice would remain.
The audio for Aequarinn is UNBEARABLE. Someone at IGN should have called her back and redid the interview instead of having the editor trying to fix it.
Garbage. The game is probably great, but I'm referencing the fact people can't just let characters die. They'd rather have a cheap story, erasing a pivotal moment in storytelling, than they would have a compelling death...

Zack maybe alive in another timeline but there is a possibility a timeline convergence can happen to where Zack and Cloud work together in the same time frame to beat up Sephiroth.

The game has been out for 2 decades. Also the new games are less of a remake and more of a sequel because it plays with your knowledge of the main timeline story

Wasnt there a hack and later a mod that lets you keep using here. Technically she wasnt in the cut scenes but you could still use her
